I smiled when you said "Capt. Skellen", the Lewis Collins movie was called 'The Final Option', here in Canada. I almost tear up when I think about the collection of GI Joe's and Actien Men I had; my grandparents in England sent a great many over. I looked after them very well, but they were all given away. It would cost a fortune to replace them now. Thank you preserving this fabulous toy!
This looks great, this is what I like doing. I have a few customs here. A royal marine for one. I enjoy making the cap badges and accessories. I also have an SAS conversion in real sloppy order ready to hike over the hills, with wooly hat and beret stuck in his pack. I repainted the brightly coloured hard plastic adventure pack....it looks OK. I still love action man 45 years after my first one.
Holy s**t, Tony! When you were giving the breakdown of how you cobbled together the different parts to create your AMAZING customs, it took me right back to the scene in The Great Escape where The Tailor was explaining to Big X how they could make different civilian clothes out of what they had on hand. Simply amazing!
I love those uniforms Tony and you really did do a great job on the SAS canoe! I must admit, In the past i was totally against customizing toys but recently ive chilled out a bit and i'm currently working on a custom Action Man motorcycle and a custom Action Man Space Ranger & i also recently uploaded a video of an 8 inch Action Man Mego custom figure which you might like to take a look at.
Another great video! I had a few of the SAS sets when I was a kid. My brother and I had loads of Action Man stuff (thanks to a very generous/indulgent aunt and cousin) but the SAS sets were my absolute faves. Brilliant stuff, I still love them. Cheers, Brian.
Awesome figures. Love the use of slightly modified original parts. These guys definitely stand out yet look like they were off the shelf issues. Perfect.
Excellent customs you got there, Tony! Those SAS sets were my favourite Action Man toys as a kid too. Nice homage to the film Who Dares Wins with Captain Skellen, too!👍
All of my Action Man vehicles were Cherilea. Including Scorpion Tank, Helicopter, German Motor cycle with side car and U.S. Army jeep and trailer and the kayak. very good robust toys.
Just watch a little knowing film from the 80's Who Dare's Wins with a Capt Peter Skellen in it as well. Loved this film as a kid and still great to watch again
Excellent looking customs! Was expecting some of them to move their eyes. I had seen a video of some of the non-custom figures that moved their eyes. Gave them a life-like look to them.
Brilliant job Tony. Sadly, my entire G.I. Joe collection was sold after I left home, of all of them though, I miss the one I customized to represent my Grandad, a WWII USN sailor.
Another great video, Mr. Tony!👍 Given the strict level of secrecy within 22SAS (first designated the Long Range Desert Group), its surprising Palitoy didn't seem to have had legal issues when they first produced the line. SAS Founder Capt. David L. Stirling designed the team logo, with the winged sword said to symbolize King Arthur's Excalibur, liberating occupied nations.
Those look awesome. You can tell Geordie McMann has seen some shit though. He's got that slightly wild stare of a man who's been up to his waist in guts.
These look wonderful, and I love those handlebar mustaches. I don't know enough about Action Man to really be able to identify many of them, but they look like they belong right alongside the rest of the ones you've shown.
I'm not a huge action man guy so when I saw the thumbnail I assumed they were official when I heard they were custom I was shocked they look brilliant wow keep up the amazing work man 👍
Those were amazing 😲 I don't think I have in me to try and customize a figure and fail 😓 I tried fixing some of my pieces and all doe some have been not bad...others have payed the price 😭 great video 👍🏽✌🏽
AWESOME CUSTOMS😉 It would be amazing if toy companies would let fans submit pictures or videos of their customs and let the fans vote on them and then produce them for the public with the winners recognition on the package! ( picture or name ) 😎 Right?
@@AnalogToys Thanks, It would be cool to see you do a video setting up a small diorama live! You know gearing up some guys with weapons and gear in a display. Good guys vs bad guys! 😎
Really really nice custom work there Tony, they look factory produced which I think is the best compliment a custom can get, just curious, is Corporal Campbell any relation to Captain Grant Campbell ( Z force ) ?
That was one of my questions I was going to ask you about custom action man. Plus what do think about Dragon toys and the likes of hot toys 1/6 scale figures
The SAS sets were slightly after my time, I think my last year with Action Man was about 1974. However, I have been thinking a lot about the vehicles I used to have. A non Palitoy jeep, which was excellent, but I can't find any trace of the manufacturer. It was moulded in hard plastic and I got it for my birthday in 1970. I also had the official Pakitoy armoured car. It would have been relatively easy to customise them to look like real fighting vehicles. A bit of fake armour plate, some resprays, etc. Is anyone doing that?
Another great video Tony! You did an amazing job on all of your customs! I like the fact you used most parts and weapons from other Action Man lines! Very creative indeed! Also the name for each soldier: Where do they originate from? Thanks 😁👍 Bill
Hello Tony. I've been following your channel for a few years and I think your collection and knowledge about other figures around the world are sensational. Congratulations. I'm a Falcon collector here in Brazil. Here we only have the muscle body figure. But the line is still in production. I would like us to have the Action Man adventures here, among others, available for exchange or purchase. I'm looking for someone/channel that wants to exchange information and perhaps equipment, sets, outfits, animals and other things about these characters.
thought. Why not get hold of a life size manokin? Then call into an army navy store and by an ex-serviceman uniform and buy life size replica weapons which you build yourself

Really great work. And I love the attention to detail that you put into each outfit. They look amazing.

Amazing work well done
Fantastic. Another great video. The figures look awesome.
Impressive self custom made accessories there. Almost like a "what could have been" if the Action Man SAS line had carried on well into the eighties.
Awesome figures. Love the use of slightly modified original parts. These guys definitely stand out yet look like they were off the shelf issues. Perfect.
Duke F.v. Esch thanks Joesph!
Fantastic figures. Never been a huge fan of customs, but these are great.
Love the Lewis Collins reference.
Wow....having both the loose and boxed figures makes you one lucky guy
Excellent customs you got there, Tony! Those SAS sets were my favourite Action Man toys as a kid too. Nice homage to the film Who Dares Wins with Captain Skellen, too!👍
bikerscout 74 I was wondering if anyone would recognise the reference!
All of my Action Man vehicles were Cherilea. Including Scorpion Tank, Helicopter, German Motor cycle with side car and U.S. Army jeep and trailer and the kayak. very good robust toys.
amazing custom job you've done there Tony great video

Brilliant collection
Awesome 👍🏾 I'm doing my own custom figure's as well later on thanks for inspiring 😁
Excellent looking customs! Was expecting some of them to move their eyes. I had seen a video of some of the non-custom figures that moved their eyes. Gave them a life-like look to them.
Another cracking vid mate! Great custom pieces!
Fantastic customs, great job! Really like the large scale Silent Attack, it looks spot on!
Brilliant job Tony. Sadly, my entire G.I. Joe collection was sold after I left home, of all of them though, I miss the one I customized to represent my Grandad, a WWII USN sailor.
I just realized my GI Joe and kit vanished after I left home....I simply forgot. GI Joe was Barbie's boyfriend....I mean, Ken IS a bit gormless....
I love such well-done, detailed custom jobs. Well done, Tony!
Great job on the customisation, the detail is fantastic, well done!
Another great video, Mr. Tony!👍

The lrdg and sas were 2 separate units tasked with a similar job. And co existed alongside each other.
Well done, they look great.
Those look awesome.
You can tell Geordie McMann has seen some shit though. He's got that slightly wild stare of a man who's been up to his waist in guts.
Wow great video thanks 👍
Great figures. Few months back came across an action man canoe wish I had picked it up now
These look wonderful, and I love those handlebar mustaches. I don't know enough about Action Man to really be able to identify many of them, but they look like they belong right alongside the rest of the ones you've shown.
You did a great Job...Really well done

These figures look fantastic, well done.
Great video. Inspired me to have a go at customising one myself. Thanks for sharing matey 👍
PRETTY AWESOME LOOK! GREAT JOB..I LOVE IT!❤
those customs were great
That was great. Could have watched for hours!
Hey.... GREAT! good work, Tony!
You dared to make up your own set of figures Tony.....and you certainly won!
John Kenny thanks mate
Fantastic custom figures Tony! great job,I love em! :-)
Sweet! Tony, your figures look suspiciously like John McAleese. Nicely done, mate!
S.A.S. are total badasses
Why did you take down your other Action Man SAS video? I enjoyed that one.
danzigjr it’s only available on my Patreon page

That's where I got the name, they're distant cousins!

I like Dragon and Hot Toys but don't collect them, I prefer the vintage stuff

They're made up names except for Captain Skellen. He was the lead character in the movie Who Dares Wins which was based on the SAS
Thanks for the reply Tony! I was just curious.👍
You have an amazing collection! Thanks for sharing it with us.😁
Bill
Who wishes we still had toys like Gi joe and Action man In common areas
is there anyway to listen to the full version of your theme song?
Yes, search for Double Agent theme in the UA-cam Creator Studio
Nice
so cool
With that moustache looks more like SAS Staff Sergeant John McAlesee!
Damn! I love it I would love one even if I don't collect them...any brithis dpm outfit?
With a l1a1 of course
Not from the vintage line unfortunately
i'll take even a custom @@AnalogToys
Great work they look the business , I think quite a few of the AM vehicles are crying out to be customised as they can be a bit bland .
amazing i have several custom gi joe figures but they aren't as good as yours
Thanks Eli
👍👍👍
What does S.A.S. stand for?
Special Air Service, the name of the British Special Forces unit
Is that name a nod to Lewis Collins ?
yes it is!
Awesome. Very fitting!! Quick question do you ever have the LJN D&D action figures? Always thought they are an 80s underrated line. @@AnalogToys

Hey oppo, Kirk here from RPB. Awesome toys oppo, can I come round yours and play with them :-)
Anytime!

Nice shirt mate . Are you a former tiptoe boy.
Where's Captain Price and Soap?!
