Worked like a champ on my Frigidaire. Thank you sir.
Widow here, this was so helpful, thank you!! I did it!
I'm 60 years old and after watching your video I changed my baking element today. Thanks for explaining the necessary tools to use to take the 2 screws out, the 1/4 inch nut driver worked for me. I'm super-exited about the money you have saved me.
Thankyou so much you are the best husband ever to show how to fix something on a fixed budget. The close up shots where perfect. You have saved my kitchen dwelling.
Thank you for saving a repair person to come out to change our element . We have a working baking element now
I come back to this video every time I need to change the bake element. Thanks!
You're welcome!
Thanks so much for this video! The closeups were SO helpful; first time I'm working with any of these oven parts. I removed the nuts easily enough but when I saw the terminals I stopped cold because I didn't know what to do next. Then I found your video. I'm ready to replace the element now!
My replacement element should arrive this week and based on the videos I’ve seen, the replacement process looks straightforward. One tip I saw in another message thread was to put office supply alligator clips on the connecting wires before you remove them from the element to prevent them from slipping back where you can’t reach them.
Thank you! I needed this video to help me remember not to let the wire fall into the back of the oven wall and it did! I yelled NO and woke the neighbors, thankfully I was able to pull it back out with my trusty tweezers! Invaluable video!
Thank you. I did my own and saved $200
Excellent video! Short, sweet and to the point. I used it to replace my oven element 2 days before Christmas this year. Thank you 🎉
Thanks, love the up close shots - helped so much.
Thanks for the tip to clip the wires when you unscrew the plates. The second wire popped right back into the range but I was able to unscrew the back and find it easily. Same #1 Robertson screws. Fixed the range for 25 bucks with one from Amazon.
Thank you for this video! I especially appreciate you mentioning the #1 Robertson screw driver and listing it in the video description. Big help!
Thank you much! Replaced my element with this as a guide. Concise and informative! ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
Thank you so much!! I was able to replace the element by myself very easily!! 😁
Thank you for the instructions. My element was at the top instead of the bottom. Even though I tried to pull gently, one of the wires slipped off and into the back of the oven. It seems I don’t have the correct tool to remove the back so now I’ll have to wait until tomorrow. Other than that, it’s going great!
Thank you for a great repair video!
Thank you Awesome instructions
Easy as pie. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for taking the time to make this video, i just replaced mine and its working great thanks again
Great to hear!
Excellent video. It was very helpful. Thank you very much.👍
thank you! this helped me especially bc of the close up shots!!
This was so helpful to replace mine. Thank you!
You're welcome!
I have a Frigidaire range CFEF3014LWD, the bottom element started sparking like crazy and then shattered in 6 pieces, I replaced the element like shown in video but the oven still won't work. the light works fine but the top and bottom elements don't come on at all. Do you have a video showing how to replace the fuse box for the oven on that kind of oven? I can't find any info on how to do it. help!
Very imformational thank you! What do i do if the terminals are burt or corroded?
Success! Pizza tonight!
Aye thanks a lot this video helped me out perfect you have my support buddy and yes I subscribe 🤣🤣
Can you do that for the broiler element without taking the back off?
I went to replace mine but one of the wires was burnt. Do you have a tutorial on how to fix the burnt wire? Thanks!
Would it be safe for me to remove the grease clogged baking element insulation at the back of the stove, and replace it with some insulation that is in good shape that I got from another oven? Thanks!
I did it, very easy, but no lights work on display. Burners do work.
CAN A WIRED UNIT BE REPLACED WITH A PLUG IN UNIT ??
The top part doesn't have a conductor?
What if one of wires caught on fire and fell in to the back of tje stove
What if the little thingy get stuck inside 😅 when I pulled the element, they disappeared inside :( is there a way?
If those little thingies are the wire connectors that go onto the element then there is definitely a way . And your not alone it does happen especially if the manufacturer did not leave some extra length to the wires. You will have to bull the range out far enough to get behind it and take off the back panel, you will see the elusive wires sitting there waiting for you. of course you have the power turned off before doing this. Good luck you got this.
UGH...just trying this and one of those connectors slide back into the hole....now what do I do????
with the oven unplugged and disconnected (double check), use pointed pliers or dull tweezers to gently coax it out (try to grab the metal part, not the wire). I actually just used my fingers which made it easy but it depends how large the opening is. don't pull or squeeze too hard or you risk disconnecting them or damaging the wires which would make it not work or be dangerous to operate. it shouldn't be hard to get out once you have a hold on the connector, but be wary of messing up or pulling out the insulation surrounding it.
I'm not a professional - just ran into this issue myself.
I used needle nose pliers and a straightened paper clip that I made a hook on the end to fish the wire back out. I then used clothes pins on both wires to keep them from sliding back thru the holes until I was ready to connect the element.
anyone know why elements burn out in the first place?
Looks like a few minutes repair. We'll see.
Nice vid, but you need to type out the size of square head required. It will save so many hours of repeating your 8 second description of size.
Tried the ones I have. That basic tool kit from HD.
Do this I will give you a 2 rating because you mumbled over that part.
