Honestly, well said. Games are for enjoying at one’s own pace IMO

I like it when Ina makes things clear. I hope she continues to enjoy the game, I really enjoy watching her play.

Elden Ring does not have an easy mode.
There is only the normal mode by using the mechanics in the game like intended and then there are the self-imposed challenges which makes people limit themselves to only some of those mechanics (which is all fine and good, until those who do those self-imposed challenges want to force others to do the same / are complaining about someone using the tools the game gives to beat a boss. which is a silly thing to do)
(and while this is not a great example, but it would kinda be like those people are trying to force everyone to play Pokemon as a Hardcore Nuzlocke and then complain when people do not do that)

I played all the souls game, it was always important to me that I clear them without any summon on my first playthrough. For elden ring though, I feel like the game is balanced around them (so bosses are harder to solo) and I guess I just don't have the patience anymore. So now for the DLC, I started at level 150 with 60 vig and 40 end, greatshield + greatsword (later Milady with bleed) + heavy armor, mimic tear ashes. That's kinda "easy mode" at this point, and I don't care, I just wanna enjoy the exploration and not spending hours on a single boss. I think the boss I died the most was like 5 times on the tree thingie that kept reviving (not even particularly hard fight)

Exactly. If the developer gives you the tools, it fair game. Anything more is just personal preference.

Exactly. Normal working 9 to 5 working adults just won't have the time to put in more hours just to get through one boss. Ironically, I'm not going to call them out by name(love them), some of the talents are streaming the DLC for 8 to 12 hours per stream for no summon runs. Must be nice, if you no longer have a regular day job and commute. All the more to them.
The game gives all these tools to deal with the bosses, and certain weapon arts makes it really easy to cheese the fights.
