My own father landed on sword beach, fought for Caen, the battle of Normandy, then up to Nijmegen, crossed the bridge, went to the Bulge northern shoulder with 30 corps, then through the Ardennes into Germany, Royal Artillery, down through Germany and was at the liberation of Belsen concentration camp, then went to guard the Elbe so the Russians couldn’t cross. Lovely man, great father of 7, he passed New Year’s Day 2013, aged 92. Sadly missed. (Edit-) this video is AMAZING. Thankyou so much, from a soldiers son. 👍🇬🇧

The sea levels and landlines seem a bit off in a lot of these comparisons. I understand sea levels rise and fall, but still. In any case, your work is appreciated Ignacio, and I just wish there was an ability to metal detect on these beaches! A lot of your work is very nostalgic to say the least when it does make empirical sense. Keep up the great work!

Mike Mike, thanks so much for watching and for your opinion.
You are absolutely right, it is incomprehensible what a human being can do to harm another. Let us pray to God that events like these do not happen again anywhere in the world.
