It survived the war .The British destroyed it in the 1950s against American wishes which led to hard feelings.
super cool content pls make more

Rebuild it
You've shown the wrong driveway. The existing paved driveway is right where the former 2nd drive ised to be. In other words the current paved drive was not the main entrance.
Correct. I was there a few months ago and the actual driveway is below the current pathway. The channel owner is wheelchair bound and it wouldn't be accessible for him. Love this channel, one of my favourites!
@marcrigor6423, Thank you very much for your comment, it helps a lot to improve the quality of the videos. I suppose you must be referring to the last sequence of photos where Hitler is seen getting ready to get into the car. If you look carefully at the superposition of the old and current photographs (and even though the land has changed a lot, since it was raised and planted with trees after blowing up what was left of the residence with explosives) you will see that both photographs were taken practically in the same place. And if you pay attention you will see 2 things, 1° in both photos the Zum Turken hotel can be seen from the same angle, 2° notice that the pedestrian path that currently exists can be seen opening to the right (that is, towards the Zum Turken hotel and towards the remains of the anti-collapse wall that still remains of the Berghof, while the main road that existed for the vehicle entrance to the Berghof opens in the other direction, that is, to the left of the photo, so Even if one could extend both paths (the current pedestrian and the old vehicular path), we would see that the paths separate when reaching the curve of the current route. Therefore, to summarize, the paths are not in the same place, sorry. make the answer so long but I wanted to make it very clear so that anyone who does not know the remains of the Berghof should not be confused. Thank you very much again for your interest in the video and for your comment. Greetings from Argentina.
@@Ash_P_ thank you very much for your comment. You are right, I travel in a wheelchair, however, that situation did not prevent me from being in the ruins of the Berghof. I invite you to read the answer that I wrote about the confusion of the old vehicular entrance and the current pedestrian entrance. Greetings from Argentina.
Amazing and crazy.
@oldskodaklubzlinmoravia4879, thank you for your comment. Greetings from Argentina.

@othmanzainal1180, thank you for your comment. Greetings from Argentina.

I see your point, but I think it’s better to prevent a preserved from becoming a shrine.

Hi Russell, Thank you very much for your comment, you are always very kind. Greetings from the south of the world.
Я ходил по этим местам и представлял что там был сам Гитлер
I'm just pissed off that they knocked all this stuff down
@richie6921, thank you for watching. Those were other times, in which they sought to eradicate Nazi ideology at any cost, even demolishing buildings. Greetings from Argentina.
@@IgnacioVeutroProductions These buildings should be listed. Like the Colosseum, or the Pantheon, or the pyramids. I and my children will never get to see these historical buildings now, because some idiot has knocked them down
@@richie6921 you are right, but you have to understand the upheaval and how devastated Europe was in the late 1940s, and the Allies considered that eradicating all material vestiges linked to Hitler would be part of the solution. Specifically regarding the Berghof. Its blasting and subsequent modification of the terrain on part of the Obersalzberg slope was carried out with the intention that the place would not be used as a place of pilgrimage and worship for the followers of Nazism who might remain and the new generations to come. Greetings from Argentina.
Chap called Tom Lewis and his wife does amazing tours of this whole area …
@ossianx8752, thank you for the information. Greetings from Argentina.
Fantastic video , thank you
@HOOKmusicUK, thank you very much for your comment. Greetings from Argentina.
@@IgnacioVeutroProductions just one query though, as regards to where the car was stopped, in your video its outside the blue building, to the left of the monument, in other videos they state its 100meters further up the road to the right of the monument at the bend and the car stopped where the monument is situated.
@@HOOKmusicUK Thank you for your comment, it helps us all know more about the story. What you say may be correct. After WW2, the place was substantially modified, the curve where the commandos ambushed Heidrich changed its radius and size, a pedestrian tunnel was made under it, the street where the car was stopped was transformed into a highway, and so on, making it difficult to find the exact spot where the car finally stopped. That is why many of the superimpositions of historical and current images are approximate since there are places that have changed so much that they do not seem the same. Greetings from Argentina.

Why do always video produces completely ignore the complaints about the music they put on. I simply had to switch it off.
Excellent video. I have to go there and see this myself. Is there anyone you know who does personal tours?
@robertweingartner2055, thank you for your comment. Yes, I know there are companies that do tours but I don't know of any to recommend. The Obersalzberg hill is very small, everything is very close and you can do the entire route walking in 1 day. Greetings from Argentina.

There is still a visible sing of fighting on church walls. You can see that outside of church around windows to crypt where they were hiding. Our heroes.
@milosgavenda9018, thank you for watching. You are right, the aftermath of the war remains in many corners of the city, one of them is the Saints Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Cathedral Church. Greetings from Argentina.
@@IgnacioVeutroProductions well to be honest there is not many another remains of ww2. But you can still see a holes on National Museum from Soviet occupation 1968.

Well done.
@stevenpowers546, thank you for your comment. Greetings from Argentina.
When I was a boy everyone's Dad had been in the war. Three doors down the street from me lived a man and his family for decades. He was my Mom's age. Only in his last year of life did he tell me that he had been a 19 year old Marine on Iwo. I wish I had asked him to sit for the day and tell me all about it. He did share a couple small stories with me.
@donl5941, thank you very much for sharing your story. Many hidden heroes we can find around the corner. Greetings from Argentina.

25000 hidden Japanese troops. One heck of a fight.
@dudermcdude9245, You are right, it is incredible to think that in such a small piece of land in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, one of the most important, fierce and tragic battles for both sides of World War II occurred. Greetings from Argentina.
amazing work !
@adminmeusite7735, thank you very much for your comment. Greetings from Argentina.
Unfortunately, Rene Gagnon was the second of two people misidentified as being in the photograph of the second flag raising. He was originally thought to be the Marine on the far side of the flagpole but was later identified as Corporal Harold P. Keller.

@IgnacioVeutroProductions My uncles served on Iwo and Okinawa. As a child growing up I couldn't understand life from their perspective, because to them "life" was so greatly influenced by the death they saw and faced on the island. I also fully respect the Japanese perspective. America had some 27,000 casualties with 8,000 killed and 19,000 wounded, but nearly all of the 22,000 Japanese casualties were KIA. These statistics are staggering to me and I only have respect for all who gave so much.
@@Peace2U-ec6es thanks for your comment. It is very difficult to judge the thinking of those people who went through extremely critical situations such as a war. I think it is understandable that your uncles considered that life was "influenced" after having survived the hell that was the WW2 in general and the Pacific War in particular. Greetings from Argentina.
