My grampy fought in this war, 23 years old. On the 31st of March, it will be a year since he's passed. I'm so proud of him for going to fight. He received a plaque of recognition from the RCMP a few years before he died, as a thank you for the time he served in the army. I wish I could have gotten to see him one last time before he passed, and thank him for all he's done- he really deserves it. I love you, grampy. See you again some day.

My grandfather was in the Korean war during the early years, and in Vietnam two times. He served from 1947-1968. He retired a Major. He acts and (says he feels) like he is 30 years old, but he is 81.

Nice footage. I've been looking area for photos and videos of the A-26 being used as a staffer (most of what one finds involves medium altitude bombing led by a glazed nose version).

my grand father, Robert webb was a marine sgt in this war. After this conflict worked on the panama canal. Sadly passing away, died due to lung cancer in 88 or 89.
Even though I was eight years old, I got to meet him one x-mas.
    These people shouldn't be forgotten.

I've never been able to laugh at those slogans scrawled on bombs...
Great video though. The B-26 is such an amazing craft.

My grandfather drove ducks in the navy during this war. He never talked about his experiences and I'll never know what he did.

My father enlisted at 17, became radio intercepter & FO,.. said the "chinese" pilots (alleged), when confronted or getting chased by US planes would start speaking frantic russian.... also found some big (dead) russian pilots crammed into "chinese" uniforms, (when they were shot down).. which was often..... and they had a chance to retrieve wreckage from Migs....... his best friend was fighter pilot, who was afraid of heights LOL

@aquafishsoup I doubt you would be able to hit him with a bat, he carries at least three knives with him at all times of the day.

Anyone know what squadron these Invaders belong to? The narrator says the airbase is Iwakuni, which makes me believe they belong to the 3rd Bomb Wing, but does anyone know the squadron? The tail code "V" on that one bomber is a big help, but I can't seem to identify that marking. Can anyone help?

@StevieChannel South Korea was nothing else than occupied area who the real korean government ("North Korea") together with the korean people (in guerillas) in the south fougth to liberate from USA and the fascist regime installed in South. Also the US/south regime had already had started the war and also massacred the people in hundreds of thousands. This war was about The korean people (North Korea and the guerrillas) against one of the worst dictatorship ever created by US occupation.

@StevieChannel No millions had died because of the occupation and war started by USA, the whole problem with diveded Korea origins from that. If you dont belive me you can check with the South Korean Truth and Reconciliation Commission. North Korea had not killed millions BUT USA and the South Korean fascist regimes had. You think South are the "good" and north "bad" because south is better off today? North was better than south before the collaps of the eastern bloc that made North isolated.
