      Becoming a chiropractor has been one of the biggest blessings of my life. Talk about making an impact on peoples lives. I would go back in time and redo everything just to get back to where I am now.

    Also I have a quick question , I asked this question to a couple other chiropractors as well and they told me that regular stretching/massaging and proper posture can solve must people’s problems basically life style changes and making the conscious effort into bettering it can cure most of the issues for people, but people who don’t do that will require going have to visit chiropractors regularly i also heard that if soneone doesn’t regularly make the proper lifestyle changes the same issue will keep on coming forward

      Of course taking care of your body (stretching, muscles work, diet, exercise, ect.) are important for a healthy lifestyle. These type of lifestyle changes require breaking old habits and forming new habits which is crucial for an individual's future.
      Chiropractic is focused at removing the cause of dis-ease within the body, ie removal of the vertebral subluxation and within upper cervical work, the atlas subluxation complex. By restoring proper alignment to a misaligned bone you take pressure off of the nervous system and allow for proper communication to take place. If your nervous system is being interfered with it does not matter if you get a massage because neurologically those muscles are improperly being told to contract at the level of the brain stem, thus massage is a short term band-aid. Chiropractors detect and correct vertebral subluxations to allow for ease within the body.

      @@atlasbrainspine Thanks for such an amazing response! I also heard that upper cervical treatement may be used in rare cases for people who are experiencing ear related issues, for example tinitus, ear pressure, ear pain, etc. Now I have a quick question regarding that I hope you don't mind :) So basically I had a big stressful buildup about a health scare which I had about some lump which I had, I thought it was something bad but it was just a cyst haha I pilled up at least 6 months of HARD CORE STRESS, non stop googling and stuff, thank God it was just a cyst. Now adding to this I wanted to ask a question and I wanted to here your response.

      So after that BIGGG buildup of stress my body has been in a "stress response state" I had a ton of random stress/anxiety related symptomps ever since, for example I had rapid heart rate, trouble breathing, eye twitching, random throbbing feeling, dizziness, eye tearing, and EAR PRESSURE which started in one ear, but then stopped in that ear and went to the other. Thank God 99% of the symptomps which I was experiencing went away, the ONLY ONE which remains is the ear pressure, I was told by a ton of people that it's 100% stress related and it will go away with time, I'm a person who really overthinks and I just wanted to ask you what you think? Me watching this video just made me overthink a lot tbh, I was like "what if my spine is causing this issue what if that what if that" but in the back of my head I don't think its possible that my spine is causing that issue, first all because I remember this ear pressure feeling was so bad at one point I couldn't hear people clearly, but the past month I've been stressing less and googling less and the ear pressure has been going down A TON compared to how it was, also I remember a moment when I was in college overthinking very hard I noticed that as soon as I got in the car chilled and talked to my mom the pressure went away INSTANTLY for about an hour, my doctor told me "that confirms it is stress related, and after a couple months it will go away on it's own as long as u stop stressing over it", everyone else I asked related with this said it’s 100% stress nothing else, just wanted to let u know the story before u answer that question which I left about the spine. Thank u so much ur a true inspiration ur a big reason why i want to commit to this field. :))

      @@aaeei69445 Sounds very much like it is stress related without doing any type of testing. If you are struggling with Stress management I have actually made a video on what I do to manage stress for myself.
      ua-cam.com/video/MaG_ulwau5k/v-deo.html
      Pressure in the ear, tinnitus, vertigo, are all things that can relate to the upper cervical complex. This is due to the cranial nerve that comes from the brainstem and innervates the ear can be reduced in efficiency and lead to inner ear issues.
      It sounds like you are stuck in a sympathetic dominant state (fight or flight). By removing the interference caused by the atlas misalignment (Atlas Subluxation Complex) and putting pressure on the brainstem, your body will come out of sympathetic and move into a parasympathetic dominant state (resting and digesting), or the state of ease.

      @@atlasbrainspine oh that’s amazing! You have a video on stress management, thank you so much I’m for sure going to check that out. And yea my only option really is to just to lower my stress for some time because when I tell you that build up was BIGGG it was biggg, it was a buildup of about half a year which is insane. So my body is still basically under that stresses impact and I believe it needs time to wear down. Thanks once again my brother for all the help. And I just want to confirm one thing, I don’t need to do the cervical treatment correct? I just need to lower down my stress for a period of time. Because I don’t think my condition has anything to do with that. I was worrying about it even tho it didn’t make sense because of how my body is still in that flight or fight mode, I really can’t afford anything like chiropractic care if I’m being honest right now, or anything close do that. Also going to check the video out RIGHTTT NOWWW. :)

    It's been a very longggg journey 😢 almost a year since I passed out from pain from central disc protrusion and hit my head off the toilet and floor. is it possible for the atlas to switch sides? As in he would adjust the right side and the right hip would be off and one leg shorter than the other. Now I feel a deep dull ache behind my left ear area. I see an upper cervical doc using the Blair technique is that the same as NUCCA? I also see a regular chiropractor.and I saw another type of doc and had cranial bone movement therapy done for the post concussion syndrome.

    • @atlasbrainspine
      @atlasbrainspine  2 роки тому +1

      Oh gosh, that sounds like a difficult situation but I am glad that you are on the journey towards health! It is possible to have the atlas switch sides of laterality, although the atlas switching sides is a rare occurrence. NUCCA and Blair are different approaches to address the same issue, the Atlas Subluxation Complex. They do stem from 2 different trains of thought though. For my patients I recommend that they only see an upper cervical specialist until their atlas begins to hold. From there, if they choose to see a full spine chiropractor they can but I advice them to not adjust anything in the neck. Upper Cervical Care is great for Post Concussion Syndrome (speaking from my own experience of my PCS). I hope this helps, if you have any other questions feel free to ask!

      @Atlas Brain & Spine thank you for your reply. Yes its been a very difficult and long journey. It took time for me to figure out what was happening to me and so thankful for Chiropractors!! They saved me. Hospitals couldn't find an answer or solution to help. I refused the injection of pain meds. I wanted to fix the problem not mask it. I was just adjusted today at the C3. Now I'm feeling a bit off again but I know it's for the better. 😀

    Hi , can there be atlas subluxation without instability ?

    • @atlasbrainspine
      @atlasbrainspine  Рік тому

      Great question Krishna, the short answer is no. The longer answer is that it depends on a multitude of factors to the extent of the instability. Bottom line though is that if you have an Atlas Subluxation Complex then that will means you have an unstable cranio-cervical junction and therefore your spine is instable.
      If you have any other questions feel free to ask!

    I suffered from a bad TBI about a year ago and although structurally I am healed I have been suffering from a bad case of post concussion syndrome with neck dysfunction issues. I started upper cervical chiro care about 4 months ago and am still not seeing the light but my doctor says with an injury as severe as mine it can take longer. I was wondering how long the healing process can take? Also I have been wondering if prolo or prp would help my healing but my doc doesn’t think so because my adjustments are holding very well and he says it’s a matter of time. Would love to hear your thoughts!

    • @atlasbrainspine

      Hi AT, without knowing your history details and looking at the images of your Head and neck, it is very difficult to give you a straight up answer. Everyone goes through the healing journey differently. Based on that fact that you are holding, I would suggest to keep your faith and trust the process. I have had many patients take many months to begin to notice significant changes with TBIs but then it never fails that one day they come in smiling and feeling the best they have in a long time. Often times TBI injuries have a difficult time stabilizing due to the nature and severity of the injury. 4 months is a relatively short period of time but just know that when the brain is communicating properly to the rest of the body, your body's own innate intelligence is doing more than any of us know to get you well. I hope this helps, please feel free to ask any other questions!

      @ate317 Рік тому

      @@atlasbrainspine thank you for the response! Yes I am holding well and feel awful but I will keep the faith! Another main complaint I have been having is bad neck dysfunction issues in general where my neck stiffens up but loosens up throughout the day and feels fatigued. There’s no findings with X-rays but is this something you have seen with your patients resolve over time on its own? And also do you have any specific thoughts on prp or prolotherapy in general?

    • @atlasbrainspine
      @atlasbrainspine  Рік тому +1

      @@ate317 I have seen the neck dysfunction in conjuncture with TBIs and often times what I find is that the body is recalibrating the control of the muscles. When you have a severe head injury leading to a TBI you will also have a severe neck injury. So not only is your body healing the brain but also the neck! So in my experience, yes it is something that will resolve over time given you are maintaining your alignment. I do not know much about prp or prolotherapy and it is outside of my field so I wouldn't be the best person to ask regarding it.
