    I go to Blair clinic that has 4 doctors and they all great ! They will adjust your whole spine and ribs not just upper neck otherwise it's not as effevtive. Most of other upper cervical doctors I have seen they only focus on top neck and I did not have good results at all until the rest of the spine was addressed.

      After the atlas adj my chiro gives me a full spinal adjustment in the table which really makes a difference.

    Great video and very informative.
    I have ligament laxity due to decades old whiplash and because the curve in my neck was so bad after two Atlas adjustments I had PRP prolotherapy injections/ten shots in the back of the neck; 5 each side at C2-C7. The healing process can take up to 12 weeks or three months or longer depending on the severity of ones condition. I’m still in healing mode.

    Hi Dr. Pecca, I appreciate the tips in the video. Had a question that I was hoping you could answer or at least point me in the right direction.
    I've been going to a knee/chest upper cervical chiropractor for about 2 1/2 months and still can't hold an adjustment for more than a couple days despite my strongest efforts (no heavy lifting, sleeping on back/side with good neck support, walking some everyday, etc). In fact, I've had a lot more bad days than good ones since starting, and at least from a symptom standpoint, I feel worse than when I originally started. I still believe upper cervical can help me, but I'm starting to think I should try and find a different upper cervical chiropractor. Would you agree with this? Or should I give it more time? I know everyone's timeline is different (I could send you my x-rays as well), but I wanted to try and get a second opinion since I don't know any other upper cervical doctors or know anyone personally who has gone through upper cervical adjustments.
    Thanks

    • @drkevinpecca
      @drkevinpecca  2 роки тому +1

      In my opinion if you’re not holding your adjustment for more the 2-3 days 3 months into care, you may want to consider finding a new upper cervical office to go to. Hope that helps!

    How goes it Kevin I am almost 6 months in doing NUCCA and because I've been feeling pretty good decided to try and help paint our ceiling yesterday... but got fairly symptomatic (anxiety issues) that evening and slept poorly. Fortunately I got adjusted today and feel much better. Was wondering how long until you could do most all physical activities without worrying about repercussions?

    • @drkevinpecca
      @drkevinpecca  3 роки тому +3

      It’s different for everyone, I usually recommend 3-4 months. In my case which was very severe I waited 9 months to start working out, lifting, and other strenuous activity.

    • @wesporter2176
      @wesporter2176 3 роки тому +1

      @@drkevinpecca Yeah I understand it is a long process and I was really not improving much before starting NUCCA. It is frustrating that I didn't hold the alignment better though... kinda wonder if I shouldn't try another chiropractor that does Blair or maybe prolotherapy. I heard one of your patients say she really made huge progress when you became her new doctor. Wish I lived in New Jersey!

    • @drkevinpecca
      @drkevinpecca  3 роки тому +2

      Hey Wes, after you get adjusted I would wait 2 days before doing the push-ups. After that I think you should be good to go. Do you
      Hold your adjustments well?

    Hi Dr. Pecca, would neck excercises like chin tuck help stabliize the atlas post correction?

  • @JoseDiazJr

    So I had my C1 adjusted on both sides and only on right side C2 vía Blair technique on Thursday 6/24. Felt fine afterwards then Monday he did all 3 spots again and felt ok again. Then Thursday I felt sore at c1 on left side so he only adjusted that side then last night I was feeling exhausted and stressed, my blood pressure shot up above 140/100 and my hearing went muffled for a moment then came back and bp went back down. Did the Atlas adjustment have anything to do with this?

    Can a person have a upper neck misalignment, in which his/her head is “locked in extension”???
    For example, My head is always tilted backwards (with chin up) when my head and body is in neutral position. Have 24/7 head pressure and pressure behind eyes.

    • @drkevinpecca
      @drkevinpecca  3 роки тому

      Yes in these cases people usually have an anterior atlas misalignment causing your head to be stuck in extension
