Its been almost a month since my accident. The other insurance company hasnt "Acknowledged" yet. I am hearing Allstate is the worse of all. I havent even spoken to the attorney yet, only his assistant, who is very good at answering without answering...

Divorce settlement case in Switzerland. We're at the very tail end of the case. We're literally waiting for the insurance company to send the money over my bank account overseas.
How long does this process usually take? The decision has been made and our lawyer told us that the money should be in my bank account by AUG. It's already SEP now and still no money in my bank account.
If this persists, who do I call? Our lawyer is lazy and quite hard to reach.

It really all depend. Think about it you first have to reach maximum medical improvement and then they have to gather all the bill, and generate a demand letter. Usually with a demand letter the attorney put in an expiration date, like x amount and you have 30 days from today to pay or submit document. The insurance will wait till the 25th day most likely to respond and they do this multiple time. After that they talk to your doctors and facility to see if there is anything they can lower, then after all this process they’ll get you to sign off on the settlement (keep in mind they should be informing you). Most likely it would take 2 weeks to get the check by mail. Then they have to pay off all your liens and or any child support or dues you have to the government.
-all in all it can be as little as 3 weeks up to the statue of limitations -Texas is 2 years. Then if they file suit many insurance wait till the day before court appearance to settle again.
It will only be 3 weeks if you were severely injured and the policy limit is low. So they’ll tender the policy limit.
Attorney also do want to settle fast too, they work on a contingency fee, so they’ll only get paid if the claim is fully settle. So while you’re waiting for the check, they’re also waiting. :)
