I can honestly say that I've been sitting in the same position and done the exact same thing. Those are the times when life is sitting really close to home. It's really those times that seem to get the best of you, but also feel like another step in life at the same time .

We were together for about a year, it was an absolutely beautiful relationship. We lived in Colorado and march this year she moved back down to Texas, we did long distance for about 4 months then I moved down with her after I graduated, worked odd jobs and rented out a room in a house for about four months. Life was getting to me and she was distant while she was trying to recover from long distance which only made things worse for me, she didn’t know and she couldn’t understand. Almost 3 weeks ago I up and left Texas to come back here because I was going down hill quickly and I figured that if I didn’t leave then and stuck around, I’d hurt her more in the future. She was devastated and told me everything she had been feeling and I told her I never wanted to leave but it was the weight of world, she told me that she’d wait for me to come back while I get my shut together and heal myself from my past. I could’ve done so many things differently to prevent just up and leaving which is what keeps pulling me down, I feel with everything I’ve got that is was right girl wrong time and I told her that I don’t want to move on and that after I build something here I will find her for closure. If she’s moved on and happy then I am too and this was for the best, but if she isn’t and the feelings come back I’d love more than anything to start a life with the right girl at the right time along with all the knowledge I’ve gained from the experiences and hardships of life. It breaks me to know that I could shatter her heart in the way that I did and feel like there was no point, it almost feels like I broke my own heart more than hers which is why after some time I need to find her again for closure to know wether or not what I did was for the best. Our relationship in Texas wasn’t the best, but the one year in Colorado was full of endless love, adventure, intimacy, thrill, beautiful innocent love, and oh so much more. It was always me and her in my small town and being back here without her is absolutely terrible and I want to drive back right now but I know I can’t cuz I’m not healed and I’m the right headset. How long do y’all think I should wait to contact her again? Or should I just not and find her again when I’m ready and get the closure I’ll need?
