The worst thing the universe can do to you, is give you the right person at the wrong time. True love never goes away. You will always love that person no.matter how much time has passed. Summer 1994, met my 1st love and soulmate. Fast forward 20 years, I spot her at a service station and say only hello because I was married. Didn't know her situation either.....fast forward 4 more years, after the long ending of nearly 20 years married the second time since her, and she was widowed twice and divorced once, we found eachother through a Facebook page..... after 24 years we've been given yet ANOTHER chance and we're taking it. Many mistakes were made and wonderful life lessons learned..... never give up on true lifelong love!

Met a girl, had no idea how much she would come to mean to me until we had to go separate ways because that is how life works sometimes. 20 years, 2 kids and and a whole life later, I still thought about her every day and wondered. Things can change though… out of tragedy and personal hardship, our paths crossed again…. That was 3 and a half years ago. Jump when you can, second chances only really happen once

We met on a dating site in Jan 2007, met in person right before Valentine's day 2007, my baby brother was murdered Feb 26th 2007 my world feel apart, I had so much guilt and anger part of my guilt was I was alive, part was my brother could no longer be with his kids and his girlfriend and be happy and eat and do things and be happy so I had a hard time doing these things. I quit my job because I was crying all the time, forgetting things, couldn't do my job I had to get my head together and then my 16 year old son at the time totaled are only transportation and me and my boyfriend at the time lived about 3 and a half hours from each other. Also he was only the 2nd man I had ever really tried to be in a relationship with so I was learning out to cope and be in a relationship, my 1st relationship was really bad and mentally abusing. I kept getting feelings he belonged with someone else and not me and I couldn't get that thought out of my mind. He has been better off without me and he even has a son since then who he loves with all his heart. There's so other things but that's some things.

So this song really hits home for me. When i was 18 i met a man online that was 24 and from California and i was from Michigan. We dated for almost a year and then decided that we were gonna break up and stay best friends. We defiantly had a strong connection right from the start. He was truly my best friend and go to person. After we both got into new relationships of course neither one that we were with ever liked us talking. We lost contact for 12+years. 25 years later and it still hurts, The pain of knowing you had the right girl at the wrong time may just be worse type of pain, because you begin to doubt your decisions...all of them afterwards.
This hit me hard. He was different. He wasn't perfect, but he was real. We had an instant connection. We were so similar in many ways (e.g., outlook/goals in life, family oriented, had the same favorite #, same sports interests etc.)... as if, we were a replica of each other. I was there when the world turned its back on him. I was there during his darkest moments. I encouraged, supported and loved him through everything. Chose him when he had nothing (unemployed & in school for a new career) and helped him get back on his feet. Now that he's successful, I am no longer worth his time and energy. As I went through a challenging period and needed his support the most, he didn't care. At the end of everything, I was left with #EmptyWords, #EmptyPromises and a #BrokenHeart. He ended everything (via a phone call, deleted my number, and blocked me on social media) as I was on the road, driving 20+ hours for a new job opportunity.
Less than a few days later, he's "back on the market." I wish him well, but... :(
