Nope. I just messed up and didn’t do it on this set. The grips never slipped so that was nice. Never made that mistake again. Good catch on your side Roy!
@@RonRivet absolutely a lesson learned. I’ve changed the grips out multiple times since I did this and never made that mistake again. I like to call things like this a “tactical error” because it’s not a mistake if you learn from it. Thanks for watching!
Yes they are midsize and I use the same grips on all the clubs but putter. I just changed putter and moved to a midsize pistol grip on that one. Love it so far.
I hope the video helped you out and gave you confidence to try it out for yourself. Just remember to take the paper off the other side of the tape before putting the grip on 🙃
Great question. Not double sided. The solvent activates it. The solvent dries within 5-10 minutes. I think they do make double sided tape though but I’m not sure.
Lots of solvent helps and a good brace on the shaft. I had good luck in the spring getting the driver gripped with a ton of the solvent. Be generous and it should help.
You are 10000 % correct lol. This was the first time I had ever done this and when I finished I knew my mistake. Surprisingly they held up all season. Definitely a learning experience
Terrible video. At 53 seconds you showed a preview/picture of The GolfWorks GGS Gripping Station, which is the exact same set-up im thinking of buying. There's like 6 different tools in the package, yet you used a chick's blow-dryer? Yea you used the vice, which is pretty nice; but why not show what all the other tools are used for, and how to use them. Sorry man, submitted a thumbs down on your video
Thanks for the feedback. The kit I got was just the base setup. Don’t have a heat gun so I used what many people have available. Thank you for giving the video a try. Good luck with your setup.
Did i miss where you peeled the backer off the tape????

I was thinking the same thing. Haha
@@Duffs2Darts oh well, lesson learned. Thanks for posting.

@@Duffs2Darts that's right, good to learn from your mistakes but even better to learn from other people's mistakes. Haha...
What size are your grips? Midsize? also do you use same size on all clubs?

Was the tape you used double sided tape that you had to remove the paper after on the club or was it activated with the solvent?

Ed, double check that tape. I’m pretty sure it is double sided tape and you need to remove the paper on one side....
@@fairwaysngreens1494 turns out you are right. Just checked. The clubs have not moved at all so I guess I’m ok. GOOD TO Know!! LOL
@@Duffs2Darts but why you making a vid teaching people to regrip clubs when you don't know how to?
@@jaychqpr97 learning together. First time trying it on my own showing that it’s not as scary or hard as people may think.
I can replace all my iron grips, but I still have not figured out how to get a grip over the end of a driver.

first time doing this, yet he has a re gripping station?
@@plaza71121 yeah, I got it so I could start doing it on my own. Done it about 5 times now. Worth the investment if you plan on doing it a lot.
