This was a wild review, first the jolly guy confusing the two Belluci's and Dave calling him a "round ball of dough" then the missed handshake save from Dave's gf, and then the bomb that was dropped at the end of the real Belluci sadly passing away a few days after this review. Like a three act play this truly had it all.

Philomenas is the best pizza ever! The owner is a very hard worker, he’s in his shop well after closing every night proofing dough! I’ve never saw anyone put as much love into the making of their pizza the way Dave of Philomenas does! He is the nicest guy you’ll ever meet and is always willing to help anyone who wants to learn the art of dough making! Philomenas will always have the score of 10 in my opinion 😊😊😊😊😊😊

The pizza here is really good. Better than a 7.9 but Dave knocked it down because it wasn't a full pie and the basil/added oil toppings. The square is definitely mid 8's if you order a fresh pie

Not necessarily. Reheated slices are always crispier. It may even have helped the score.
I would generally say you can't compare slices and full pies. Slices get a second heating for a more crispy crust.

this place is great. It's def a weird hybrid between a normal NY slice and something fancier and instead of pleasing nobody, it strikes a good balance.

I don't REALLY know who Andrew Belluci is since I never had his pizza, but rest in peace. And as for the review, god damn that looked incredible, this is one of those situations where Its not your taste, but you can tell that for the people who DO like this sorta artisan-y, oil drizzle basil leaf type of situation it would be a MONSTER score and worth a drive or even a trip just for that. MONSTER crunch, seriously. Almost felt tacked on. Really down to earth nice owner, and nice little addition with that big guy haha, keep it up Dave!
