Name is Xavier. I'm 32 yrs old and I'm trying to relearn all the math I need to know. Ironically I graduated high school but some how I find it hard to do math so I'm relearning.
Xavier my son is in 11th grade I had to pull.him.from.public school. He's so far behind it's not funny. I highly recommend Learn Math Fast. They have a fast track program we started book one and my son will have completed the full series by graduation next year.
I'm curious, what reasons did your children not "like" the curriculum? Also, why have you decided to use Beast Academy instead? As a mother who is very weak in math skills, this truly looks ideal. I started my son with online math programs because I was intimidated about teaching the maths. I see a lot of gaps in his learning and I feel this would be a wonderful program to help build his foundation and grow strong in his math skill.
Bean bean in particular found it boring to the extent she didn’t want to do it. The book worm was frustrated with the number of problems in each lesson. The latter was easy to modify for, but Beast Academy seems more entertaining while still being challenging enough. It also comes with an online option
I’ve just started homeschooling and I’m using it for my 2nd grader. We absolutely love 💗 Math Mammoth. It’s very well organized and easy on the parents to implement. I believe her kids may have burned out on possible years of use and the redundant format.
@@narikadavis3351 Welcome to homeschooling! Math Mammoth is definitely well organized and as a parent, I thought it was great. I hope your kiddo continues to enjoy it and you guys have a fabulous homeschool year
@@HomeschoolHappyHourI know this is an older video, but you say the lessons were long? We're coming from Saxon (used from grades 1-7/6). My kids felt like Saxon was way too long in the later grades. How would you compare Math Mammoth to Saxon as far as lengthy lessons?
I don’t recall the Math Mammoth lessons being lengthy at all. We did use Saxon for a very short time when we started homeschooling and we hated it. I couldn’t give a fair comparison because it’s been so long.

Lol same. Mom kept me out of school alot as a kid and they passed me anyway. Have no idea why or how but they shouldn't have. 21 now.

Hi Xavier my name is Angela. I am an adult and trying to relearn math too. I graduated from high school to.
I am using it too. Stuck again so little break. Go over the lessons again. I only have nine more “lessons. Then I will be done.
We did MM4 this year and I completely agree with you. I love it as a parent, but my kid wasn’t thrilled.
It can be hard to find a balance between teaching them to do things that they don’t necessarily like and trying to make learning fun
