Hi, thank you for your W203 videos! I'm a proud spanish owner of a C230 exactly like yours. I bought the car a few years ago with no maintenance book, so I'm doing things peacefully on my free time. I've a question, please. My 722.9 gearbox is very smooth in performace, but when I put R or D the car shakes noticeably. I'm going to do gearbox service following this video but I would like to know if you also feel this. In other hand, when I get out my garage upwards from -1 level, although I choose 1st gear manually on C mode, the car tries to change to 2nd gear. It doesn't do it obviously, because it's blocked in 1st gear but I feel the shake and I don't know if this is normal. Thank you sir!
Okay saw it i got it! So let it drip a little like until I see the bubble then put the plug back in I should see it like bubbling around the plug then i know its full
Sorry one last Question just to make sure will I loose a lot of fluid when i take the drain plug out? Being I nad already did the flush before and added trans fluid? Or will access just come out? I will need to catch?
So i did mine I did the full flush but didnt start it to let it warm up to check or anything soon as I saw it come out I puy the plug back in now i Feel its slipping
@@HeyboysGarage gotcha so do I put it on the lift start it let it warm first then take the drain plug out and see if anything comes out let it come out into a pan and then put the tube in to add fluid? To be honest I like how the gears shift frequently versus the 5 speed. The 5 speed gear are quite long. But when racing the 7 peed will be better because you will most likely be a peak horsepower vs the 5 speed you wont until you reach max RPM before switching gear. By that time it's too late. Thats the only down side.

I didn’t know I just went a head and did it! I know the car was very taken care of before I got it. With your mileage and it driving smoothly you should be good to service yours. If you are doing it yourself I assume you know what you are doing from watching this video. But if you take it somewhere else make sure they know what they are doing
Good evening dear members, I hope you are all well. I have a Mercedes Benz C180 KOMPRESSOR W203 2001/3 petrol with 96,000km and it is having a lot of fuel consumption and failure to idle, the diagnostics give the code P0301 and P0304 cylinder misfire detected and I want to change the ignition coil and the spark plugs, I am in an area where I will have to do things myself because I do not have a Mercedes agent etc. 1-I would like to know how many spark plugs my car takes so I can import them and how many ignition coils. 2- The spark plugs thread size M12 x 1.25 or M14 x 1.25, and if you think I need to lose anything else in this maintenance please do not hesitate to give me a tip. If you can recommend a website to buy the material and brands that have a long lifespan it would be a great help. Thank you in advance.
