Perfect videos man, been debating a budget friendly cockpit and seat upgrade from my current Next Level F/GT and then I found your channel, helped me make a decision easily. Also a Rally fan and Ontario boy. Cheers mate, thanks again
@@hoopla175 I'm still pumped to use my rig everyday and wish I had more space to get a second ASR 3. I'd love to hear what you think when you try yours. Have fun!
@gravitymediapro thanks for the sub. Glad the vid was useful. And I still love this rig today. If I had the space I would get another one for permanent dual racing.
I think if you have the patience it would be pretty fun to build your own rig. Look at Mclaren. Started from the ground up. And you are correct - the price is a great entry point for a rock solid rig and they take the guess work out of it. Would love to see what you decide on.
Nice review man. That looks solid as a rock! Not a budge out of it 👊Do you notice you are getting a lot more feedback through the wheel now that there is basically no flex?
@footdownracing Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I would say a little bit more feedback through the wheel. And just so nice to think about driving instead balancing😂
I have the F-GT lite and is comfortable for me I am 6.3 , the only issue is the steering wheel moving….. maybe on the future I will look for something with more stability , thanks great review
How did you mount your T300? I have an asr rig with the same standard wheel plate and the groove seems to fit M8 bolt size. Did you use M6? And did it fit inside that groove ?
@louiienation8497 from what I read when I was deciding which one to buy, I believe that the ASR 3 was supposed to be firmer. I haven’t tried the original so I cannot truly compare.
Great question. Thanks for watching. Yes, the bar can be mounted on the left or right side. The bar is where I’d attach the brake / shifter. This rig allows for a variety of setups to fit many body configurations.
Thanks for watching the video. I'd love to try the TR8 someday and give it a review. I want to try all of them. It's such a great time to be into sim racing as there are so many options for buyers to fit every budget or experience level. I'm 6'1" 190 lbs and can sit in this for hours. I've had friends that are 6'3" and 230 lbs try it and used it for race after race and also enjoyed the comfort. Adding a slider is key to getting the fit you want. Any feedback is appreciated and keep enjoying the world of racing!
@@All-kh6vi sorry to hear that you had to compromise. This info is helping viewers out so that is a plus for anyone that is looking for a rig. Too bad there isn’t a try before you buy option with these rigs. What would you change if you could alter your rig?
@tigerbalm, thanks for checking out the video. You make very valid points. When someone spends good money on something they should feel like it’s the best thing on the planet. The rig you get should bring you 100% joy from the time you see it as you are getting into it, to the time you leave it after hours of solid racing on your favourite tracks. There are some really nice tubular rigs out there.
The trick is putting a VR headset on so you see nothing but the game ;) But seriously the big upside of this design is adjustability. Some people have a streaming setup, a flight sim and a driving sim rig encompassed in 1 place. If you want a nice looking rig you might want the imSim motion rig.
I wish I could drive in a different position but after trying multiple angles this one suits my comfort level best. It’s great that most rigs allow custom configurations. Thank you for checking out the vid.

Hi Jason, thanks for watching and for the feedback. Still love the rig and seat and I just need to find more time to play lately. Enjoy!
i'm from quebec, and i'm pretty sure our american pals are like ''That's so canadian to put hockey puck as risers'' XD
I couldn’t agree more. We use what we have to in order to get the job done. Next time I’m going for the duct tape rolls. Thanks for watching.
I was looking at Trak Racer when I came across Advanced. I think I may pull the trigger on one of these instead. Great review. Thanks a lot.
@19red80, thanks for checking out the video. I can tell you that if I had to buy this rig again for the same price I would in a heartbeat.
Ha - I actually had a Trak Racer TR80 on order until I learned about ASR. Immediately cancelled the Trak Racer order and bought the ASR 3.

I found a factory in Fort Wayne Indiana and was gonna just order all the aluminum myself and build my own. The price for this can’t be beat though.

Cool
How different is this rig compared to the ASR1??

Can the bar under your right arm be switched to the left side?

Which NRG Seat is that?
Thx for watching. NRG FRP bucket seat. I switched from a medium to large.
This guy looks too big for the rig. I know the positives with 80/20 rigs and will not argue but why are they so ugly. I went with a tr8 pro very happy

Not a fan mostly due to how it looks, ugly and like a generic lego set for a table or furnature, and to expensive. I prefer tubular frames.

The beauty of these profile rigs is customization. I have a cheap tube but want places to mount speakers and a button box.
You are way to big for that rig. The wheel is almost touching your chin.
