Without any guidelines or rules for determining the best teams, it’s a biased opinion that this committee is using. For 2024, 2025 and 2026 the CFP chairman is Michigan’s AD. That means from now until after the 2026 season, the B1G will get any consideration over everyone else. So be prepared for the goal posts (criteria) to be moved randomly and often to allow the CFP committee to make their choices.
Georgia is DEFINITELY passing Texas if the Horns lose to A&M. Texas may fall out of the playoff entirely if they lose that game. Their best win is Vandy.
One of them is for sure the Michigan AD Warde Manuel. And Klatt even suggested that they are purposely trolling Kirby. To me this looks like Big Ten lawfare. Big Ten teams can’t beat sec teams on the field so they’ve turned to lawfare to deal with their opponents. It’s a sad trend. Miami not getting punished hardly at all for losing to Georgia tech while Georgia fell through the floor for losing on the road to a playoff team tells you all you need to know. Miami has looked bad against terrible opponents all year. Notre Dame has the worst loss in college football and doesn’t play in a conference. If Texas loses to A&M and it knocks Georgia and Tennessee out for teams like BYU and Bose State, I think Greg should take the SEC and make it its own league. This is atrocious. How is the Michigan AD who got clobbered by Georgia and made a section of practice called “Beat Georgia” in charge of ranking Georgia and these other sec teams? Georgia has beat Michigan and osu and Oregon in the last two years. Those schools’ administrators should be nowhere near ranking these teams
Indiana/Ohio State loss and a Bama/Texas loss in the SEC championship would mean we move up 2 spots. we may need to move up one more though to be guaranteed a home playoff game.
I love how people keep bringing up the Kentucky loss for us without actually watching the game and HOW we lost. We lost that game down the stretch by self inflicted penalties and dumb mistakes. Kentucky recovered a fumble in the end zone that luckily landed in the hands of their tight ends hand that was literally already in the end zone. We were up by 4 with 2 minutes left until that happened.
There’s a world where TAMU beats TX and then loses to Bama in the SECCG. If they aren’t going to punish SEC runner up and only take 4 SEC teams. It very well may be Bama, TAMU, TX, & Ole Miss. Regardless of how good UGA looks these next two games. 🤦🏻♂️
