Had to take a minute and go out to get the gate for my husband. He still works at the power plant so he leaves early.
Came back just in time to see that big bass!
We have to have good timing to watch fish feed in the river, it’s rare to catch that.
We have sturgeon that jump this time of year, they are a sight!
It’s said they come up river to spawn and that the limestone ledge that our place sits on is a favored place that they can rub parasitic leeches off themselves. I don’t know if that’s really the facts or just local lore but we sure see a lot of them this time of year.
Your place looks amazing! Thanks again for sharing another great video.
Blessings from the river swamp ❤️

Good morning! When I was young, and lived on a farm, we had a catfish pond and when dad was going to have a fish fry he would feed them and catch them in a net, then I would help him skin and clean them. What a great memory this brought me, as he passed away almost 7 years ago. Thank you for sharing this, and for the few tears I have right now. ❤ from North Alabama!

Good morning Danny and Wanda. I also like to have an organic garden. I get attached by worms every year and wouldn’t be nearly as successful with my nightshades if it weren’t for BT. I spray my tomatoes and peppers and even potatoes late spring through summer mostly for hornworms and then in fall/winter all my brassicas to control cabbage worms. It saves so much time and is completely organic and harmless to anything but caterpillars. Have you guys tried it? Might be a good way to break the lifecycle of whatever is attacking your plants.

Danny we have a huge problem with the White Moth/Butterfly with a Black Dot on each wing they seem to fly around in pairs courting one another. A neighbor said to me how much she loves seeing them & I explained the damage they do- I spray unprotected plants with Organic Neem Oil in the afternoons but I also cover all my Brassicas with netting & I am winning the battle big-time. Cheers Denise- Australia

When I'm in the yard,I have a bottle in one of my pockets or in the bucket if I carry one. I get bugs and caterpillars off the plants. They go in the bottle. Into the freezer. From freezer to chicken feed. I don't turn em loose alive bec, yes, some get away, and some the chickens miss. My garden is not covered. Sir, can u put a screen door on that green house. Caterpillars come from moth eggs. I lose my squash every time. 🙁 I'm new on ur channel. I love watching and learning from you. Thank you for teaching.

Sure can tell you are both loving your rabbits. I have had some over the years that preferred to potty in a litterbox. I would put a box in the corner they would like to potty previously, but put the box 📦 upside-down. They have privacy and the litter drops through the grate. When they have babies they will usually follow along and potty in the potty box too but will also sleep in at night.

    Looking good Danny 👍🏼
Here in Sublette County Wyoming, we just came through a VERY abnormal end of summer heatwave, with highs around 90°. It put us behind a few weeks as far as our first freeze goes, but all that heat has FINALLY pushed through and tonight will be our first freeze. I’m SO happy to finally get here, as I have SO MUCH I need to do outside to get ready for next year’s vegetable garden and cut flower garden business, and I CANNOT work in the heat. 90° to me is IMPOSSIBLE to work in.
I wish you success in your fight with the worms!

Good morning Mr. Danny & Mrs Wanda, what a beautiful morning to see yalls morning jobs , It was so peaceful and therapeutic to watch yall & talking to the New bunnies it was funny watching Ms. Pressy wanting her box back , she is gonna have to learn to go to the bathroom lol.
I asked David the Good yesterday, if I should keep the Star of David I didn't get to soon enough on the stalk ( Oh my Mr. Danny I've gotten 2 sliced up gallon size freezer bags so far , plus gave my Daughter n law & Son about 1 whole gallon freezer bag & cooked many from yalls seeds I got off etsy from you )
He said let them dry on stalk ?
I had took them off & was letting them dry on my deck ,
So it's better to leave on stalk for seed ???
I still have alot growing & loving them all .
Thank you and Mrs Wanda for such a great video this morning.
God bless yall & have a wonderful weekend .
    Big hugs

Hi Mr. Danny & Wanda. We have been raising rabbits for quite some time now and here is a tip for you about the potty issue for your one girl that is going in the nest box. A rabbit will pick their place to go and continue to go there for the rest if their life. Watch the drop pans and you should notice that they are going in the same spot. Our hutches have built in nesting boxes and we block them off for the 1st week or 2 so they can't choose them as their bathroom. Is there a way that you can block her from her chosen end of the hutch so she will choose another spot?

Those worms have destroyed my stuff this year. I used BT it killed them all then they came back. Also a tip.. I learned the hard way you have to separate the male rabbits I had one bite the other ones testicles almost off. They were exactly 3 months old when it happened. I sent a picture to my vet asked if she needed to stitch it. She said she thought I could just use the wound spray from tsc that’s what I did and it healed. She told me you have to separate males. I figured that one out lol

    Advice that might help you.
For the cut worms, try to spray some infuse (water + chili peppers), it works on all plants.
For veggies that you will eat , so that you will not have spicy salad or rocket salad for example , you can try to use infuse (water + black pepper or garlic) .
They "love" to run from what is spicy.

I used to think of hot peppers as about the easiest veggie in the world to grow. The bushes of every variety would get so big, so lushly green, the peppers so perfect and prolific. Year after year. Finally dawned on me that they were just the only veggie not under constant attack by every chewing, or digestive enzyme stabbing creature under the sun. Haha
Unfortunately now though I have a new grasshopper that goes for the milder hot peppers, like jalapenos/sugar rush peach. :(
Apparently tabasco plants are not spicy, because this year I have hornworms on them. Which is cute, and I don't mind the best egg host with the mostest. Hornworms get dotted up like a circus act pretty quick around here from the wasp eggs, or stabbed with eggs by a tachinid fly. (Which is a wild thing to see, those flies attacking the hornworms.) Hornworms are always the least of my concerns.

You can also use baking soda in a shaker and dust the leaves so those worms won't servive.

Those worms you show at the beginning...We've had those here too...like crazy. And we are 5 hours north of you. Oh and yes sir they fall off in the dirt and you can't find them unless you stand there and wait for them to move.
Are you going to name that rabbit Prissy?? LOL Always love watching the view. It's so beautiful.

Perhaps you could put up an additional screen door system that could prevent these pests from entering into the plants.

Good morning Danny and Wanda. As a child we had a commercial rabbitry I processed a lot of rabbits when I was a kid. Around the corner where I worked summers was a commercial gamebird farm. We raised about 5 acres of corn and our neighbors would buy from us to can the corn this was before CSA‘s were popular. I remember mornings like this as a child so vividly. Looking forward to getting my Homestead/farm back up and providing sustainability for my family and I.

Some worms will glow under a UV light so it makes them easy to see.
If you could find a strong UV flash light you could try going around
    At night looking for them.
