I learned today the Soldering Iron actually reverts estus healing back to the base 250, like if you haven't used any undead bone shards. So it's actually super useful for fighting ganks.

If you only have fun by beating the game as fast as possible - that's fine too.
The ghost dagger holds a special place in my heart, Ill explain why: On my first ever playthrough of dark souls, I ventured through the game without the repairbox for a good amount of time. I eventually got to blighttown (fuck blighttown btw). Upon getting to the upper bonfire (the one near the fire spitting dogs) my battle axe broke. The battle axe was my only usable weapon at this point. So I'm faced with a decision. Do I risk going all the way back to andre, or do I swap weapons? The only other usable weapon I had on me was in fact, the ghost dagger. I dont even remember how I got it. But i ended up pressing on with this weak ass dagger, summoning mildred for the quelaag fight. Finally killed her after a few tries. Repaired my axe and bought the repair box as soon as I got back.
Holy... I'm not even joking. That *exact* situation happened to me. I don't even mean any single part of it. The whole thing. As in, on my first playthrough, I ended up at the upper bonfire in Blighttown with a battle axe as my main weapon, it broke without me having a repairbox to fix it, and I ended up relying heavily on the ghost blade to continue forward. How did we have such similar experiences?
@xBirds GMD nooo! I killed her to test a weapon and when I rest she was facing away from me! Then when I reload the area she apologized for not being able to die! Never again will I kill the Firekeeper! She spins when you do the toast gesture! Oh god do I love the way she laughs when I yell or jump for joy.

It's a shame you get the Hunter's Torch shortly after lol. My Torch has had 31 AR for the longest time, since before having 50 Arc iirc, and now with 83 Arc it FINALLY hit 32 AR. Meanwhile Hunter's Torch has 158 AR, having had 140ish at 50 Arc. It's actually a pretty viable weapon to kill even Depth 5 Brainsuckers with, and I've actually used it to kill a lot of things in depth 5 dungeons and even in the DLC, like the red-eyed hunters.
How can you kill the fire keeper? Even just for testing? How do you live with yourself? Wait... The ghost blade is rare? I got it when i went into the water city below firelink the first time. I just killed the screaming ghost and it dropped. Lol.
@@jynxed66six54 ghost blade is rare to find too. you guys are probably mixing it up with the jagged ghost blade which is a curved sword. the ghost blade only drops from the female ghosts, which are the ones that scream like banshee and shoot lightning. there are two of them in the entire game and to top things off, the dagger itself is just about as rare as getting a slab from a darkwraith. meaning you could easily kill them over 400 times and still not get the dagger with max item discovery and overkill. on top of that bullshit the female ghosts are located pretty far away from each other and not to mention a good 5 minute run from either the Firelink Bonfire or the Cave bonfire past the drake valley.
Yeah I actually prefer the Boom Hammer over the amygdala arm. I’d put that on the list over the Boom Hammer. The Boom Hammer’s L1 can make breathing room with mobs easily. The Amygdala Arm is just underwhelming all round.

Well considering its closest parallel is the Tonitris, whos attacks range from swinging horizonally to swinging even harder horizontally, whos transformation makes it go from a club that deals bolt damage to a club that deals even more bolt damage, with nonexistant rally and frustratingly low durability that forces you to make frequent repairs if you want to use it often, Id say "giant exploding meat tenderizer" is at least the more exciting of the two.

I feel like DS2 is the only game in the series where they put a lot of effort into making most of the weapons passable. and DS3 is the only game in the series where they wanted you to suffer for trying anything not meta to the game at all
passable yea, but theres always 1 or 2 weapons that are almost objectively the best in the category eg: fume sword, warped sword/red rust scimitar, chaos blade(best but katanas arent great imo, running attack isnt good and you fly past people, r1s are too slow to trade with straight swords or curved swords) rulers sword is crazy good but if you dont have the souls most of the greatswords are balanced, black knight halberd/mastodon halberd are way better than anything else, spears are pretty balanced but partizan pates spear and dragonslayer spear stick out uchigata annoys the hell out of me, manslayer literally has the exact damage and scaling but also has poison damage and might be slightly shorter, but its not just that it has less Ar than the longsword by like about 10 ar at 45/40, and the longsword is one of the worse ar straight swords
it needs to be mentioned that all whips in dark souls 1 have a different behaviour when used left-handed, making them a bit more effective that way. Your attack animation can follow people that are trying to dodge sideways, often catching them after their roll-animation.
The Boom Hammer is a very good weapon I think. I’m using it currently in my strength/arcane build and it kicks ass. Especially when you buff it and use a charged R2. But it’s move set is rather boring.
I think you might have a better time with the moonlight sword friend, and the scaling gets way crazy with the blood gems very late into the chalice dungeons, atleast i did with the same build
@@huukares3965 I feel that the moonlight great sword is rather slow, I believe that the boom hammer has faster attacks and more explosive amounts of damage at once. I currently use it and I love how it staggers literally everything with it's transformed charged r2 and it's not that long of a charge, and if you mess up the timing then you can result to a late r2. The moonlight great sword is a great weapon, I just think that he was looking for faster attacks as far as transformed attacks, attack into transformation, everything in that spectrum.
Bullshit.the great machete is great. Good AR, good reach, can get it very early, and can be swapped for yhorms when you get there. Boring doesnt mean bad. With that logic, the estoc should be number 1.

I actually beat the nameless king with the cleric's candlestick. I used it on my pyromancer build that also cast utility spells... because I thought being a spellcaster was cool. Whatever. So anyway it turned out that I accidently fought the nameless king early, as I was going to cheese the NPC ally and respawning enemies to get max soul level... and I just accidently pulled the lever to activate the NK fight... and that pissed off the NPC who now wouldn't ally with me... oh well. So I actually use several different builds using the respec glitch with Rosaria but eventually settled on a pyromancer and was just lobbing great chaos fire orb because it was longer range and hit more often than chaos bed vestiges... it took forever but I finally got to phase 2, and died. And died. And died. I fought the nameless king for 3 days and just could not burn him down with pyromancies, I kept running out of blue bar even with me putting nearly all my setups into ashen flasks. Hours into the third day, I had a decent run. The nameless king was down to a sliver of health, but so was my pyromancer. All I had to do was a handful of hits and close the fight. With no blue bar left and one hit from death I drew my cleric's candlestick andclosed with the nameless king, he charged up his lighting, bur right before I was about to get blasted and sent back to the bonfire the candlestick struck true and the nameless king was defeated... And so was I. It took me three days to defeat the nameless king at level 70. I was exhausted. And I that whas when I realized that as far as I came... I had never actually gotten gud.
Not really, at least they have good AR/StrScaling, you can either fish or pick people by surprise in invasions. And yes, the rolling attack is a fucking joke.
What, you don't like your Black Knight Greataxe burying itself in the ground when you do a rolling attack? Seriously though, that thing could have got like an astoras greatsword rolling attack and I could have lived with that.
I mean Black Knight Greataxe has a different, much more fun and effective moveset, but the endless downswings of every other Greataxe are a pain. And the two-handed rolling attacks are hilariously terrible, and the one awful part of the moveset that the BKGA shares with its sisters.
Sorry to be a smartass but DeS is a souls game hence demon "souls" It just isn't in the dark souls triology And the term "soulsborne" is used just to incl bloodborne
i hate being that guy that points out something wrong in the video for the 400th time in the comments, but i honestly only saw one person say it.... in dark souls 1 soul level 1's can use daggers, the jagged ghost blade and ghost blade get confused a lot, and thats what you did here, but just in a really weird way, you said that the ghost blade is the only dagger an sl1can use, but they can use the normal dagger, which is obviously a million times better (chaos) but it is true that the jagged ghost blade is the only curved sword that an sl 1 can use .... and that makes it infact pretty useful whereas its otherwise a pretty big peice of crap in almost every other circumstance , but what saves either of the ghost weapons from being worst of the worst is that both have unique and really fun r2 attacks
Whoops. Yeah I overlooked that. I guess it's the best physical dagger at least as the Ghost Blade+5 is stronger than the Dagger+15. But Chaos Dagger+5 trumps it entirely.
There's also the fact that the ghost blades make up 2 of the only 3 weapons in the game that can fight ghosts without a transient curse (the only other one being the Cursed Greatsword of Artorias), making them quite useful for return trips if you don't clear upper New Londo on the first try. Their AR and scaling aren't really THAT terrible either (once upgraded anyhow), and since the ghosts aren't really that powerful, they are serviceable weapons in a pinch if you run out of transient curses. Sure, it's really only good for that, but at least it's good for something. The Artorias sword obviously blows both out of the water but you generally won't have that (or be able to wield it) until NG+.
@@w.s.7567 If you check out a video called "dark souls 3 is actually terrible" he left a comment on it that I feel like makes his thoughts on 3 really clear
Wow, so little weapons from dark souls2? That must mean something like they bothered to make most weapons in the game viable unlike some other souls games _(dark souls 3 *cough cough*)_
Dark Souls 2 Best Souls Even the Pickaxe is a pretty decent weapon--good AR and scaling, good fashion. It has a slow moveset and poor range, and it's a pain in the ass to obtain, but it's a viable and fashionable weapon. The Sorceror's Twinblade is...just weird. Like, useless, but useless in a really weird way. Like even the devs had no fucking clue what this thing was or what it was meant to be. So they just made it really bad so that there was no risk of it being overpowered.
Dark souls 2 has basically the same weapon with a different skin 20 times for each weapon type. It was imbalanced because chaos blade/ice rapier were objectively better than everything else - everything was technically usable but there was little point in most things as it'd be literally the same moveset but weaker. the dlc's did a relatively good job in giving actually unique weapons (although it was really impractical I liked the bewitched alonne blade a lot) but the base game had pretty dreadful variety regarding moveset. You could argue dual wielding compenates for this but dual wielding movesets were fairly limited and there werent many times where it'd be beneficial of using it vs. just two handing a weapon. Dark souls 2 very much had a quantity over quality approach. There were more trash items in other souls games but at least they were unique. By comparison a mundane infusion ladel was basically the same thing as a mundane infusion mace. I see a lot of ds 2 weapons as weapon skins instead of actually unique weapons.
Three of the weapons on the list have uses that don't seem to be noticed. Two are catalysts that are designed to be bad as weapons, but better than other catalysts, giving them a niche use for spellcasters who want to be able to use another catalyst simultaneously or secondary weapon while still having access to a catalyst. The sniper crossbow is meant to be used from long range to snipe far away enemies in PvE, but is useless in PvP. Also, the ghost blade can harm ghosts without being cursed.
The candlestick is as an awful a catalyst as it is a straight sword, and is outclassed entirely by Heysel's pick. He broke down how bad the Twinblade is in every single way, *including* magic, and it has ridiculous stat requirements for a sorcerer's catalyst that does mediocre damage in both melee combat and sorcery. The sniper crossbow *cannot be manually aimed in the same way that bows can in DS1.* This pretty much invalidates your whole point of sniping from long distances. By the time you're able to even get a hit on someone from long range, you've at least wasted three bolts, the damage was so negligible that it doesn't matter, and the target knows where you're at. As for the ghost weapons, you're half-right. Cursed weapons are an actual category of weapon in DS1. If you create Artorias' sword with a non-broken straight sword, it creates a cursed Artorias' sword. But there's a problem with your argument. You can use the ghost weapons to harm the ghosts without a curse. But you need to kill the ghosts to get the weapons. So *how do you get the weapons?* Besides that, this whole point is moot because ghosts drop transient curses more commonly than either of the ghost weapons, which are fairly cheap consumables that give you a temporary curse so you can hit the ghosts, defeating the last bit of utility that the ghost weapons even had outside a SL1 run.
I love the lack of thought that went into this video. The majority of these reasons just boil down to “I don’t like it, it sucks”. Care to, idk, tell me why it sucks? Poor scaling? Bad range? Guess it doesn’t matter, because “it just sucks”.
ngl this video isn't great. Rarely does he describe WHY a weapon is bad, just simply that "it isn't how I like it" or "it isn't as good as it is in demon's souls"
Well, the Storm Ruler in DS3 is pretty crap (I know what entry you were targeting). It only has 10 durability, and the weapon art (the reason that people would use it) is only effective in one place.
@GavinLaneist demon souls has special effects on all attacks, i believe. youve sen him here being flung around room, thats storm ruler. in ds3, its a one time use charge attack thats slow and does no damage. not even to giants, only yhorm
The boom hammer (specially with proper gems) is actually great as a secondary for wheel builds. Since it needs both that Str and Arc to truly shine. It’s like the Stake Driver: if you know how to build it it’s great but if not you’re gonna disappoint yourself and it’ll be your fault.
Shotel in Dark Souls 3. Because it's not paired. Yurt dual-wields them, I dual-wield them, everyone wants to dual-wield them! Heh. I WILL MAKE THIS A VIRAL COMPLAINT, DAMN IT!!! Furious Heh.
The first time I played Dark Souls I got a ghost blade from the very first ghost I managed to kill. I had no idea it was very rare until I told my friend and he was like "Dude what the fuck that's one of the rarest weapons in the game"
That moment when playthrough all 3 games with light-dex-rollingonly-noshield(cuz for casuls(no actually)) build and dont give a fuck about poise at all.
Z7Games magic IS viable though. Fire surge, Black flame, chaos bed vestiges, homing soul mass, great farron dart, farron hail, lightning arrow are almost top tier offensive spells that will give any pure melee setup a run for their money with continuous chip chip chip. Often used in tourney or high tier pvp play too.
The spells themselves are great. But majority of these don't do any damage without significant ring and stat investment, which From has wisely decided to never fix
Ákos Kovács idk about you, but when I play a caster or faith build, I don't want to use sorcery or miracles as a supplement. Not investing 50-60 levels in 1 stats just so it can supplement mele. You know what was viable and could stand by itself in PvE and PvP?? BOWS in Dark Souls 2
Other details that make the sorcerer's twinblade god awful: E scaling in dexterity & strength despite it having no base physical damage, no magic or dark scaling unless you infuse it with magic or dark, and if you infuse it the scaling is awful (C scaling) and the base damage slightly decreases.
A lot of this video feels like it's only watchable if already know a lot about the games. A lot of details that would be nice to include are skipped out on or not even shown.
I agree with this list for the most part, BUT. Blind spot is VERY deceiving...it breaks poise like a motherfucker. I’m talking mid UGS swing. So...yea. (Hits behind shields and staggers pretty good.) still not as good as Quickstep.
But serious though, even if it trades through a UGS swing, it won't interrupt them, and you won't be able to recover fast enough, so you're just trading for less damage.
I think it really says something that there were so few DS2 weapons on this list. Say what you want about the story, world and atmosphere of DS2 not being the best. It definitely had the best PvP, imo.
Everember I get that your comment is ass-old, but what does it say really? DS2 got a lot of the same weapon reskins which are a bore to play, a mediocre game with mediorce design in not just levels, but weaponry too.
I think InfernoPlus seem to have missed that both the physical damage and the elemental damage on the dancers swords scale with strength and dex. (For some reason.) If he had changed the stats to str40 dex40 int30 faith30 he would have gotten +20 ar on the fire sword and +31 ar on the magic sword for the same stat investment. (According to mugenmonkey) Also they are twins swords with longer reach than the scimitar. Sellswords twinblades would make a better comparison. (-29 ar when raw compared to scimitar)
The Storm Ruler is one of the best weapons in the game.... against the one enemy it was actually designed around, Yhorm. Although, the description is kind of deceiving because all other giants don’t take any extra damage from it.
Love coming back to your vids over the years. I can't believe I haven't said this before, but it's very fun to see just how many weapons on this list are from Dark Souls 3. lol
I want to point something out... of all the Souls games specifically, DS2 was the least picked on in this video. DS2 ducked up on both enemy and level design, but they did do some great things with weapon and armor experimentation. They did a lot of interesting player-based things, such as equipment effects, weapon effects, dual wielding, two-handed parrying, and more. So, in other words, DS2 did do some things right and cool. They just screwed up on the game itself. Ah, yes, and miracles. They screwed over miracles a bit.
It's impractical, but it's cool as all fucking hell, so it gets a pass. It's also not something you'd agonize doing a challenge run with. It'd suck, but it would just be a normal weapon but worse.
hi, hey im new to the souls series, ive got 2 questions 1.- after beating the lost sinner, the mountain of poop and the diablo thing in ds2, what else do i do? i beat an spider and now i cant the the next step :'v 2.- WTF HAPPENED AT 1:12 "this weapon is a joke"?
This video was very poorly worded, especially with newcomers who don’t know anything about this series, so let me explain why the handmaidens dagger was badly regarded in this video. First, AR means Attack Rating, and is the weapons’s damage. The Handmaiden’s Dagger has 170 AR when fully upgraded to +10, making it pretty weak when compared to other daggers and straight swords. Secondly, scaling is how much dog a weapon gets when you improve the stat it scales with I.E, strength, dexterity, faith, and intelligence. You can check how much it will scale based on the letter on the stat chart on your weapon, E being the least good, and S being the best. And since the handmaiden’s dagger has an E scaling in both strength and dexterity, it means that it’s scaling is “absolutely pathetic.” Thirdly, I haven’t played dark souls 2, so I can’t help you on that, maybe look at a guide? So anyways, hope I helped you out!
I mean Crossbows are pretty fucking good in DS3 right now, cross bows with explosive rounds are kind of the meta right now of course you'll find them supplementing other weapons but still. Also I do still hope you'll give Heysals pick and the Demon Scar a try, they sort of saved caster builds in my eyes, hexes and miracles are still trash though.
heysel's pick moveset isn't broken as in pvp in pve though, might as well go for that dreaded cleric's candlestickwhich at least has a decent moveset. as for the demon's scar: the best thing since mozzarella, seriously, shit won me so many pvp fights(also the whips as a finisher but... you know, that's for granted.), in fact, since they added thos two pyromancy flames in the dlcs i don't use the standard flame anymore.
Well i'm referencing the typical 125 arena type fights, if you're talking about invasions then it's a different story all together which I just typically feign fear of host phantoms... Then turn around and give them a couple o blasts of parting black flame to the face, it's great cause they just sort of die... The few people who have the health to tank that can't panic roll out of the fire surge stream so they die anyway. Really you should give Revan619 a look, he's pretty much defined the demon scar pyro build at this stage.
i was actually talking about arena fights, you said it yourself: people(be it hosts or invaders) are more easily scared during invasions than in arena, and fire surge works a lot better for keeping distance than for finishing off an enemy, or at least, that's how it seemed to me when i tried it over the whip. maybe mine was just weaker? going with a +10(+5?) demon's scar at 30-35/25-40...
The damage typically ranges from a 90 to 50 depending on their strength and armor I believe, still it's great for arena probably even more so than normal invasions because if you've got some regen on with it and a cool head, there's nothing stopping you from becoming the most passive-aggressive player in the game. ua-cam.com/video/rkDZdYfrZaY/v-deo.html Here give this a look.
@@mordador2702 not sure if it's a joke saying it's supposed to be mana or for real but in ds3 contrarily to ds1 and 2 but similarly to demon's souls spells use a blue bar (most games call it mana or some other term but ds3 calls it focus) that you can recharge with items (mana potions normally or ashen estus flasks in ds3, not familiar with demon's) and this fuels your various pyromancies, sorceries and miracles but is also used in the weapon arts, which is a particular weapon's or shield's special buff or ability obtained by using the button normally used for parrying while two-handing it (for instance axes often get a warcry which boosts your attacks, or some special boss weapon will do a nerfed version of the boss's attack like the dancer's twin blades from the video) therefore they called it ficus rather than mana because mana implies using it for spells while focus could just mean that you're a warrior concentrating really hard on executing a difficult technique. *TL;DR* focus is the blue bar to do spells and cool moves and buffs.

The ghost dagger holds a special place in my heart, Ill explain why:
On my first ever playthrough of dark souls, I ventured through the game without the repairbox for a good amount of time.
How did we have such similar experiences?

passable yea, but theres always 1 or 2 weapons that are almost objectively the best in the category eg: fume sword, warped sword/red rust scimitar, chaos blade(best but katanas arent great imo, running attack isnt good and you fly past people, r1s are too slow to trade with straight swords or curved swords) rulers sword is crazy good but if you dont have the souls most of the greatswords are balanced, black knight halberd/mastodon halberd are way better than anything else, spears are pretty balanced but partizan pates spear and dragonslayer spear stick out
uchigata annoys the hell out of me, manslayer literally has the exact damage and scaling but also has poison damage and might be slightly shorter, but its not just that it has less Ar than the longsword by like about 10 ar at 45/40, and the longsword is one of the worse ar straight swords
Generic ds3 hate is generic

If only they put the same for animations and sounds, also fixed terrible game mechanics...
What about bloodborne?
it needs to be mentioned that all whips in dark souls 1 have a different behaviour when used left-handed, making them a bit more effective that way.
And died.
I had never actually gotten gud.

i hate being that guy that points out something wrong in the video for the 400th time in the comments, but i honestly only saw one person say it.... in dark souls 1 soul level 1's can use daggers, the jagged ghost blade and ghost blade get confused a lot, and thats what you did here, but just in a really weird way, you said that the ghost blade is the only dagger an sl1can use, but they can use the normal dagger, which is obviously a million times better (chaos) but it is true that the jagged ghost blade is the only curved sword that an sl 1 can use .... and that makes it infact pretty useful whereas its otherwise a pretty big peice of crap in almost every other circumstance , but what saves either of the ghost weapons from being worst of the worst is that both have unique and really fun r2 attacks

In the hands of ZeroLenny, none of these weapons would be bad
Lets spam on his comment section until he does the DS Remastered Experience
Boom Hammer was my main weapon on the first full playtrough of BloodBorne, I had no idea people think its trash
The soldering iron is a fucking BRANDING iron. It's made for *branding* things, not assembling electronic circuits...
its nice to poke ppl with in brawl matches, see them only heal 250 hp with their lifeline estus when they have like 1500 hp total...lol...
Soldering is just the process of merging two pieces of metal together. This practice is as old as Ancient Sumer.
"Bloodborne's weapons are all very good."
>Fist of Gratia
Hunter's torch
Rakuyo and Moonlight blade
Macho Nacho Not a primary weapon. If that counts, then shield bashing with a greatshield counts.
Jesse Smiley Of course it counts, it takes up a whole weapon slot. At least the greatshield can do something good besides bashing.
Real patriot a whole 'secondary' slot so it doesn't count
@@ArgusJord > t. 120 metaplayer
@@ArgusJord Cleric's Candlestick has a purpose for the sole reason that it is a straight sword and thus has a superior moveset.
Obviously the worst weapon is the ringed knight paired greatswords
Iain Hansen Bad in duels, good in invasions.
That's true.
"The entirety of Dark Souls III"
Man after my own heart
I thought DS3 was really good
reported for waifu bully!!
I love the lack of thought that went into this video. The majority of these reasons just boil down to “I don’t like it, it sucks”. Care to, idk, tell me why it sucks? Poor scaling? Bad range? Guess it doesn’t matter, because “it just sucks”.
ikr
Yea like tell me why the storm ruler is bad is it because the weapon art doesn't do much damage to players?
ngl this video isn't great.
@GavinLaneist I don't know, I never played Demon's Souls. But that's not even what I was saying.
@GavinLaneist demon souls has special effects on all attacks, i believe. youve sen him here being flung around room, thats storm ruler. in ds3, its a one time use charge attack thats slow and does no damage. not even to giants, only yhorm
@Charr Churl Storm Ruler has a wind effect in Demon Souls it blows people
I was playing DSR while watching this and got 2 ghost daggers lol
D-don't worry, they'll fix Dark Souls 3 when the Switch version comes out.... ;^)
ShadowNetBG i'm already rocking it on my game boy color
You've said it. And now it's going to happen
Scholar of the Second Sin
Turning on poise would be a start
Poise is for pussies
The boom hammer (specially with proper gems) is actually great as a secondary for wheel builds. Since it needs both that Str and Arc to truly shine. It’s like the Stake Driver: if you know how to build it it’s great but if not you’re gonna disappoint yourself and it’ll be your fault.
8:15
So, basically every greataxe from Dark Souls 3 (excluding Black Knight) ?
Emir Kaan Kırmacı And Dragonslayer Greataxe
nope that thing also only has overhead attacks
Just Alex people use it to gank with the WA
that still doesnt make it good, people use everything in ganks, usually something with high damage numbers to 2-3shot your average scrub-invader
Yhorm's has unique attacks with the weapon art
I was actually filled with dread when I saw him dodge the sniper crossbow and ambush you.
Inferno: Broken Sword is a joke weapon
ZeroLenny: What the fuck did you just say?
"The only game crossbows were good in was dark souls 2". Crossbows are extremely good with exploding bolts. Ah, whatever, nice vid man
Would you be able to spare a minute and talk about our lord and savior, the Sanctum Crossbow?
Ds1 light Xbox does wonders for me, can world shield at same time abd it reloads quite fast
POOKIE POW Exploding bolt turn your crossbow into a gun but you can only carry a little bit of it
Shotel in Dark Souls 3. Because it's not paired.
Yurt dual-wields them, I dual-wield them, everyone wants to dual-wield them!
Heh.
I WILL MAKE THIS A VIRAL COMPLAINT, DAMN IT!!!
Furious Heh.
Lautrec of Carim indeed dual-wield shotel should be a thing
Also, it doesn't pen on light attacks. Heh.
Yurt wields a shotel and dagger. Get Gud!!
Garl Vinland The Shotel paired with the Parrying Dagger would work just as well.
Consider yourself riposted.
Heh.
And despite having a parry ability it has like 1 parry frame.
The first time I played Dark Souls I got a ghost blade from the very first ghost I managed to kill. I had no idea it was very rare until I told my friend and he was like "Dude what the fuck that's one of the rarest weapons in the game"
The worst weapon is obviously poise.
Actuall-*gets stunlocked*
It was decent in Dark Souls, but oh how things changed.
That moment when playthrough all 3 games with light-dex-rollingonly-noshield(cuz for casuls(no actually)) build and dont give a fuck about poise at all.
Kinda expected to see dark souls 3 magic on that list.
*Angry comment about how magic is totally viable because i beat scrubs that dont know how to press the roll button*
Magic is decent as a supplement for your main weapons.
3:39 it’s not going to agonize the opponent, it agonizes the user with how bad it is
Other details that make the sorcerer's twinblade god awful: E scaling in dexterity & strength despite it having no base physical damage, no magic or dark scaling unless you infuse it with magic or dark, and if you infuse it the scaling is awful (C scaling) and the base damage slightly decreases.
Haha didn't even realize that it has physical scaling and no physical damage. Nice catch!
avantgardemetalfan it like the creators of the game had no idea how to balance stuff. OH WAIT
THE FUCK YOU TALKING ABOUT, CANDLE STICK WEAPONART IS SOOOOOO GOOD IT LIGHTS THE CANDLE S-... oh
Dude. It's in DS3. What poise?
BackwardsPancake hurr Durr what poise. Poise is turned off derrrp
Edit: how could I forget "WERKING AS INTENDED LOLOL'
They made poise very important for hyper armour in the last patch.
+Alec Oram
So the only way it's in the game is in service to the game mechanic Miyazaki actually wants you to care about?
But serious though, even if it trades through a UGS swing, it won't interrupt them, and you won't be able to recover fast enough, so you're just trading for less damage.
I think it really says something that there were so few DS2 weapons on this list.
Say what you want about the story, world and atmosphere of DS2 not being the best. It definitely had the best PvP, imo.
Mr. Exion I love how you say it definitely had the best PvP. But you still put "imo" in the end.
Well that's good. Because I hate DkS2's PvP.
I see nothing wrong with that statement.
that's mainly because DS2 was trash itself but i never played it so i wouldn't know i only hear rumors
Rogue TheUndying DS2 was no trash imo
Everember I get that your comment is ass-old, but what does it say really? DS2 got a lot of the same weapon reskins which are a bore to play, a mediocre game with mediorce design in not just levels, but weaponry too.
The worst weapon is the one that was 1 place from the list. Such a failure that it doesn’t even appear on the list
I didn't think the dancers swords were too bad really lol. I used them for a bit
(According to mugenmonkey)
Also they are twins swords with longer reach than the scimitar.
I'm surprised the Aquamarine Dagger didn't make it tbh.
asmcint I don't get the hate for Aquamarine Dagger. Users suck more than weapon itself and if nothing else it has good fashion souls
*_LEAVE MY AQUAMARINE DAGGER ALONE ITS GOOD AFTER BUFF REEEEE_*
asmcint It deals good damage on a dex/int build and can roll catch with the WA. Not as bad as you think it is.
It's impractical, but it's cool as all fucking hell, so it gets a pass. It's also not something you'd agonize doing a challenge run with. It'd suck, but it would just be a normal weapon but worse.
It's objectively worse than most daggers and its weapon art makes it *easier* to avoid. Say what y'all want, it deserves to be here.
hi, hey im new to the souls series, ive got 2 questions
1.- after beating the lost sinner, the mountain of poop and the diablo thing in ds2, what else do i do? i beat an spider and now i cant the the next step :'v
2.- WTF HAPPENED AT 1:12 "this weapon is a joke"?
And since the handmaiden’s dagger has an E scaling in both strength and dexterity, it means that it’s scaling is “absolutely pathetic.”
Thirdly, I haven’t played dark souls 2, so I can’t help you on that, maybe look at a guide?
So anyways, hope I helped you out!
I mean Crossbows are pretty fucking good in DS3 right now, cross bows with explosive rounds are kind of the meta right now of course you'll find them supplementing other weapons but still.
Also I do still hope you'll give Heysals pick and the Demon Scar a try, they sort of saved caster builds in my eyes, hexes and miracles are still trash though.
bubbajoe117 Heysel's pick is almost broken just spam r1
heysel's pick moveset isn't broken as in pvp in pve though, might as well go for that dreaded cleric's candlestickwhich at least has a decent moveset.
as for the demon's scar: the best thing since mozzarella, seriously, shit won me so many pvp fights(also the whips as a finisher but... you know, that's for granted.), in fact, since they added thos two pyromancy flames in the dlcs i don't use the standard flame anymore.
I KNEW I COULDN'T BE THE ONLY ONE THAT CALLS FOCUS "MANA"!
The Reprehensible darksouls logic
Red bar=health, makes sense
Green bar=stamina, very nice
Blue bar= "focus", nigga we all know its mana
Whats "Focus"?
It was a joke mate, but thanks for not calling me stupid or sth =D
OH NO! NOW IM SAD! GUESS ILL JUST HAVE TO IGNORE YOU INTERNET TROLLS AND DANCE THE BOOGIEWOOGIE!
Finally somebody who finally showed how much of a trash the DSIII was. Ruining weapons and bringing a lot of unusable garbage is basically the exact meaning of this, g-d save us, part of the Souls series.
