Hello friends, I have returned from Yellowstone with yet another banger vid.
Today's topic is Ivy Labs, with an emphasis on arrangement, but with some sound design using Vital and Ableton.
Yet, unlike other artists in the scene, Ivy Labs work emphasizes rhythm and grooves over sound design
This leads to the trio being categorized more under experimental/future beats rather than freeform/weird bass, or even halftime...but there is definitely much overlap
The main takeaway here is that you can arrange any sound, as long as has a strong rhythmic groove with a slappin sub.
So be bold, be experimental, and be creative.
