  • Take take a ride with me as I give you guys a bit of my origin story.
6 years ago I watched a 3 minute Keith Kalfas pricing video…long story short, I heard "$245 in 45min" and MY MIND WAS BLOWN!!! I thought I gotta start a "grass cutting business" I literally couldn't stop thinking about it.
A couple weeks later I took the idea to my wife and SHE BELIEVED IN MY VISION AND DREAM!!! I'm a very confident person but that day she poured FUEL on my flame and made it a RAGING FIRE!!!
Two days later I sold my car and bought a truck and the DREAM STARTED!!!
I hope this story helps you go out and start something that really makes you happy…REMEMBER YOU ONLY GOTTA BE RIGHT ONCE!!!!!

This video left me in tears! I was a heroin junkie 4 years ago. I overdosed on fentynal and almost died. I was in a coma for 3 days. When I woke up, I had an encounter with the risen Christ. Since then I have become a Pastor and I am in year 2 of owning my own lawncare and landscaping business. It has definitely changed my life. I started with 6 yards from church members, now last month the business earned almost 12k. I can't believe it, thank you for this video. God is good! God bless

I have the same story. I was in tears reading this I had to show my wife then she was in tears alongside me. I went to southern theological seminary after finding my church home. In 2015 I started a group home for people struggling with addiction. We served and ministered in this community for 4 years. About half way through I started building my landscape business so around 2019 we stepped back and I appointed a good friend and his wife from my church with similar backgrounds after hearing from the lord to focus on our business and serving more in the church. After covid hit I just worked worked worked and slowly I found myself going through the motions in my walk. Me and my wife decided to move to Florida and buy out another landscape company. Without dragging this out we soon found out it wasn't God's plan for us and had to move back home a year later. I learned that not all great ideas or what seems right is not always from God. I feel like God is having me say all this for you and others to see and learn from my mistakes and how important it is for us as followers of Christ to stand firm and pray about all things as the scriptures tell us too. All it takes is a moment of complacency and falling into the motions of life for us to lose our decernment causing us to make what looks like a good decision but outside of God's Will. Good news is we serve a Merciful gracious God that never forsaken us and loves us so much to correct our paths leading us back to His will. I've had to start all over but through it all I still have the most important things in life which is my wife and kids and first and for most a loving relationship with my heavenly father. God bless and thank you for your testimony, it's strengthens mine.

I relate so much. I've only been in business for about two months and have already matched my full time jobs income... maybe it was luck, and maybe it was god's grace insuring me that there really is more to life when we step out of our comfort zone and chase our dreams.
Man I made about $400 on my first job and it took me two hours, I remember coming back to my wife and putting the money on the table and just saying... "man, this is going to work!" nearly brought to tears.

Thank you @Mack Landscaping & Lawn Care and @Keith-Kalfas. I have been watching landscaping videos for over 10 years. I'm 26 now and have a 2 year old daughter. I also take care of my Mother and Aunt and its been hard. I have lost my sister and dad and I'm just trying to be the man that my family needs. I finally understand the true meaning of life, which for me, is family and improving on yourself and overcoming challenges. I normally don't post stuff like this, but I've been watching landscaping videos every morning, while I have breakfast, and this one got to me. I'm in the thick of things right now. I just started my business last July and I'm just happy I made it through the winter. I'm absolutely broke, its the first of the month and I don't have rent or Daycare. That's okay though because, I wake up at 5 am, have my coffee and eggs, watch a landscaping video, take my daughter to daycare, and then work until dark. These videos show me that I'm not the only one whose been here before and they give me the strength to know that I can make it and I will, because there is no other option. Now its time for me to stop writing this post and getting all emotional. thanks again and its time to work.

I had a similar experience. I spent 7 years managing landscape businesses and was completely burned out with the hours and the low quality people I worked with everyday. employees never showing up, high on the job, pathetic quality service, complete lack of systems or organization, you name it. November 2020 we received a shipment of mulch we didn't order at the shop and the boss man let us take it for free. I had no plans until a neighbor asked if I could mulch for him that same afternoon. He'd never asked for anything before but his timing couldn't have been better. At the end of the following week I had done 5 mulch jobs on my street and made almost as much money as my monthly salary. in 4 days. Just like you my gears started turning and within a few months I quit my job to start my own business. In my second year I had the best financial year of my life. Encouraging story thanks for sharing man!

God bless you! Awesome story, you are so passionate about your business. I started my Junk removal and hauling business 1 month before the pandemic. I was working as a maintenance tech for a property management company. I got the idea one day while I was cleaning out an apartment that was abandoned by the tenant, and it was so filled with junk. A lightbulb turned on inside my brain. I went home, I got on UA-cam to see if this was a thing, and I was so excited when I found a few videos of Junk Haulers. It went from there! Last year, I cash flowed right around $110,000 dollars. Reinvesting in your own business is the smartest thing a business owner can do.

You got me in tears. Was watching this while cleaning up after a long day grinding. Did a sod installation for the first time. It's not perfect. But the customer is happy. I am proud of the job my wife and I did. Made some money. Trimmed up a palm tree real quick for some that was a few houses down. Cash 20$ for 3 minutes of work. Picked up 2 new clients today. Went to look at a 5 acre property that needs 2-2.5 acres mowed. I hope they take my quote on bi weekly cuts.
But this i felt in my soul. I must say thank you. As well as to Keith. And Brian's lawn C. You guys have giving me the inspiration. I currently am a career rural mail carrier at the united states postal service. I started small. Weed eating in a 55+ community. 50+ yards later I started branching out to residential homes . Slowly picking up business. Finally started paying for advertising. About to run 3 different every door direct mail adds for a area that I am told people are upset about the current service. The post office is about to cut 10k-20k from 66% of all rural mail carriers in the US. I don't take people messing with my money very well. I really hope that I get to the point of being able to leave the Post office and gold full time with

My life will never be the same, my wife and I just bought our first home and we are in the process of acquiring a second home for a group home business. I just want to give glory to God! Keep up the great work! Much love from Utah. 🤙🏽

I started 26 years ago. 2 Lawnboy mowers a weed whacker and a blower. And my Dodge Dakota truck. And it took off from there. 2 trucks dump trailer inclosed trailer and 1 open trailer. I love hearing other people just do it. Don’t think about it just move forward. And the best I still work my full time job. And cut 40 yards a week commercial and residential and plow snow. I love watching your videos. You are from Pittsburgh I’m from Reading Pa.

Lawn care service is a pretty simple and easy business to start. Thus lot of competition. The thing that will set you apart from others is determination and customer service and the sky is the limit. Goes for other businesses aswell.

I worked for a Police Department for 15 years. I had worked my way up to 3rd in command. At the same time, I owned and operated a lawn service. I left the PD to work for the sheriff's office. When I left the PD, the city contacted me and asked me to bid on a mowing contract. I bid and got the contract. I make more money mowing 8 months out of the year for the city than I did as an administrator for their PD.

Sounds a lot like my life prior to starting my business… took some time & hard work but was so worth it …Just get started & before you buy equipment, get a website going and get on Google so you are ready for the spring rush..please do not rush into things n get payments on mowers or trucks before you have the work to use it on…the goal is STRESS FREE …and the 1 of the biggest causes of stress in this business is payments on equipment not being used …Just a lil advice…

Dope story!! Mine is extremely similar, I still have my 9-5 though. I started in 2016. I was thinking about doing it in 2015 but didn't. I knew that lawn care would absolutely work when I realized that "EVERYONE HAS GRASS!!!" I knew from that point that my client base can be as big or as small as I want it to be. It's just me, no overhead except when I hire someone to help me with cleanups...other than that it's all me.

Great testimony. Satan tried to discourage you when you broke that foot but your faith only increased that much more. What the devil meant for evil has become the very means of his own defeat. Subbed when you quoted Romans. God is good.

I understand exactly where you’re coming from I been there. I knew back when lawncare wasn’t as popular as it is now. Started off in a 1989 Pontiac Grand Am with a push mower in the trunk. Cut grass part time while working a very good full time job. 2012 bone cancer played its part so I had to quit my job and let all my contracts go because I couldn’t do it anymore. So here I am with all this expensive equipment and couldn’t use it. Thank goodness everything was paid off so no worries there. But I tell you god is so good getting back in the grind of lawncare it’s like I’m starting from ground zero but I know god didn’t bring me this far to fail so I’m back off to the races.🙏🏾🙏🏾

I’m currently 21 dropped out of high school at 17, was up to no good job to job then I stuck with landscape. Got a car at 17 nothing but tickets for street racing and modifications. One day someone asked me to do there house I borrowed one of my uncles truck and equipment did a couple houses with that. Around age 20 traded my car in for my pick up and started doing crazy side jobs, Landscape, junk removal, demolition and all I now finally quit a concrete job I was at this year and I’m on my own now !
