Thank you so much for these videos, Dr. They're so unbelievably helpful for me and my father who have been lifelong spiritual seekers (now nonseekers thanks to you). Your pointing is direct and clear, and is incredibly appreciated.
Consciousness 1- the Substance of thoughts (concepts etc...the object) 2- the Substance of the doer (the sense of you, the subject) That what you seek (object) is the one doing the seeking (subject) Method : 1- self-inquiry : who/what is aware of that thought ? 2- inquire into the thought itself : look closely at a thought, what is it made of ?
Angelo, I'm reminded of the joy that came when I learned how to reverse my car using the wing mirrors. The terror of moving backwards into the unknown space became so simple it was difficult to fathom the original problem!
Love this! I first heard the eyeball analogy from Rupert Spira, he said the eye can't see itself, but I appreciate your description in terms of mechanisms and the apparatus. That alone helps my mind go - oh ok the thing I can't know.
I am from Spain and your book is the first I have read in English. Although it has been a bit difficult for me, I have found fascinating the approach you give to certain aspects that I had already heard many times, but that I suddenly understood. Self-inquiry is one of my favorites, thank you very much for that and good luck with this wonderful channel :)
Angelo, I appreciate your teaching greatly, much needed especially now while we continue to find ourselves and each other as human beings 👍 It’s been quite a ride for everyone 😥🌏🌍🌎
"I can therefore give nothing but tautological answers to all questions, because I substitute my concept and its unity for the properties pertaining to my self as an object, and thus merely presuppose what one demanded to know." -Kant, Critique of Pure Reason (A 366, trans. Guyer)
It’s kind of mind-blowing how you can eventually see thoughts start to form and bubble up into consciousness like blobs in a lava lamp. How is it possible that I went my entire life without noticing how thoughts are formed and without my will having anything to do with the process? Oops, I was taking notes.
Man, you are cooking! When you said, "The very mind that is seeking is the same mind that it's looking for," or something like that, lol. The looker came face to face with unbound consciousness and they just merged. What are your thoughts on duration?
@@SimplyAlwaysAwake Very good;) I think the Hope for extended nowness, haha, is a block for me. Some traditions say, "short moments, many times." Without overly conceptualizing that, would you say that is in the ballpark?
@@SuperManorcat that’s a good way of saying it. Consistent practice is also helpful. The thing is that the mind can get fixated on trying to control experience (extend it etc), so these paintings are to “let the moment overtake” (you) as you practice. You’re not causing something to happen bc realization is already here, instead more like learning to sync with something.
If I train attention on thoughts, they just disappear. There's just isness, sometimes another thought may arise, but it's not thought after that. If I direct my attention to thoughts, it just quietens down. Does this mean anything?

Glad it’s helpful to you both! Thanks for watching

I can see you experience it while you explain it. 😁 😉 These new videos are great!

Thanks for saying hi. Glad you like the book :)
Much appreciated. This one is a true arrow that penetrates the mark.
Great video. Love the background. So symbolic :) Also got the book. Psyched.
Thanks! Enjoy the book!

Indeed it has!!
Infinite gratitude and Love
Thanks - Incredibly helpful. And I dig those white squares.
That eyeball analogy 'popped' into my head earlier today! 😂 One of my favs.
Mine too!
@Ann Yes! I have seen that video. 🤗
@Ann it is!
Thank you
Welcome!

Kant was a smart dude

Amazing isn’t it? It’s astounding the hidden element in human consciousness.
The frog says to the fish: "how's the water today?" The fish replies: "what's water?"
Love it!

What are your thoughts on duration?
That’s awesome! Just keep leading yourself back to “that” until it’s intuitive or natural to do so. The duration will increase over time.

Thank you for this video. The eye cannot see within? I had a happening and I felt such vastness I got scared and pulled back. Is that normal?
Very normal :).

Meaning would be another thought... good job!
House if thoughts 🙃🙏❤
Here, is nothing to say🙏
