    Love the sofa. But just a suggestion, the small square cushion should go in the back corner of sofa and two larger cushions on the end.😁 beautiful job

    • @rtd1791
      @rtd1791 5 років тому +10

      I thought she did it on purpose so that the smaller cushion slid around less. Much of the time the smaller square cushions move around and then your backside ends up between the cushions. I thought she’d figured out a way to prevent that.

      kaypluslee like a diy concrete base with the charcoal and fire canisters inside and then a removable table top?
      Or maybe a candle fire place? Depends on what you want to use it for I guess 😇

      People need to stop complaining about the budget aspects of her videos. Did she ever claim to be a low budget makeover queen?? I come here for inspiration and ideas if something is out of your budget just find something similar for cheaper. Use your brain. We read high fashion magazines for ideas and then shop at H&M and Zaras for what we can afford. We all know Target and Ikea has things for cheaper replicas of alot of designs out there.
      The budget comments are annoying.

    • @saracobb8599

      Tyson B literally one minute into the video she claims that they are budget friendly

      Sara Cobb
      Theres nothing from outer space here, you can translate anything she got from cheaper sources......we all know where to go for those items, Ikea etc
      This is a lower budget makeover for many people.

    Whether the furniture is gifted, she worked for it because she is showing everything and where they're from so she's marketing their furniture so what does that got to do with her great ideas on putting things together. Some people if u don't have anything nice to say dont say anything at all. Because i know alexandra thru her work, what you do don't know u. Alexandra keep up you gorgeous work not everyone has the mind to do what you do.❤😂

    Totally cute! I did my patio on a tight budget and created a coffee table from two milk crates that I painted and I found a piece of heavy beveled glass on Craigslist for $5. I sprayed it with frosted glass spray-I used three coats, letting it dry in between and it has lasted 3 years.

    For my outdoor coffee table I bought a massive round middle-eastern tea tray (in a dull silver) and screwed it to a white, round plastic stool from ikea (the stool didn’t show). Put weather-proof clear varnish on the tray and it has lasted really well outdoors. It looks beautiful and quite boho.

      Anisa Adkins it might be doable but personally I can’t imagine saving up for probably a year to blow it all on trendy outdoor furniture. $3,000 for me is three month’s rent.

    I bought 2 different metal nesting table sets ( 1 square, 1 round) and paired the 2 large ones together as nightstands in my bedroom, the 2 mid-size together as nightstands in my sons' room and the small ones as side tables in my living room. :) I just painted them to suit the room they're in. :)

      Ha. I was thinking the exact same thing. When she said she didn’t have a solution yet, I thought, “Ask Dani.”
      I think something round with either storage or a fire bowl would be good. She might have restrictions on fires though. A coffee table made out of a cable spool would be cool too.
      That deck is the perfect spot for a cocktail party.

    Can relate. Is frustrating sometimes if we believe we are garbage because we can't afford something. Plus spiraling deeper in those toxic thoughts is no picnic on the patio either. Remembering that we are where we are and doing what we can with what we have is important to maintaining safety and sanity.

    So totally in love with your outdoor space, loving the furniture and the accent pieces, yes I would totally do the herb garden that is a neat touch, and the planter with roses in it is someday going to be so beautiful, roses are not hard to care for, after they stop blooming in the fall you cut it down to 6 or 8 inches so when spring comes it will bush out and bud up and give you beautiful roses, water maybe once a week unless it gets really dry, but not soggy wet. Pruning your roses will keep your bush full and compact, and the trellis behind them will keep them from falling over. You have a really neat top floor outdoor space and it's a nice size. Thanks for a really fun video.

  • @maryholstein2089
    @maryholstein2089 Рік тому

    I hope you planted climbing roses; they will make a gorgeous privacy screen. They like to have wet feet, so water them during dry spells. I assume they’re in full sun; they need at least six hours of sun and won’t do well in shade. Deadhead spent flowers by cutting back to a point on the stem with five to seven leaves. Prune them hard early in the year; I usually do it around Super Bowl Sunday. Watch a video about how to prune- it’s not hard but an important step. Then when they put out about 6” of new growth, apply a good organic fertilizer. Roses are easier to grow than you’d think, considering how beautiful they are. You’ll find it very rewarding. Enjoy!

    Roses will grow like crazy on their own. All you have to do is trim them. Eventually if you dont prune them they will get really big and die but the plant itself won't die. It will send up new fresh shoots and you will have to trim away the dead branches....hopefully it doesnt get to that point though. Just trim them to go into the direction you want, pin them up if you need to. Theyre very hearty. Good luck :)

    Fun hack I saw a gal in the UK do is take a black file cabinet, take the drawers out, lie it on it's back and fill it with dirt and plants.

    Alexandra, it looks amazing. Simple but very effective. Some patio makeovers have far too much stuff. I'm making over a back deck area of my garden but my problem isn't the rain, it's the sun!!! I live on a Mediterranean island. 😍
