An anime parody created by LittleKuriboh. This is an episode of a comedy using footage from YGO featuring such characters as Yugi, Yami, Kaiba, Joey, etc.

Anyway, yes, I see your point, but Kaiba keeps insisting he doesn't believe in any form of magic or destiny, or really anything perceived as superstition. So from his perspective, he chose to be cold and calculating. I mean I know it's circumstantial evidence but it's heavily implied he did try to kill them.

Yay now we wait for Season 4, the Season that "Nobody liked" The season with overuse of flashbacks, the same stupid card being played which is "Not the Shadow Games" basically, The God cards are worthless and replaced by 3 dragon cards. Overflashbacking the ONE time Yami loses, Joey weeping over Mai the whole season. Dartz just staying in the same room, the motorbike gang which really had too many flashbacks and the only reason anyone came back for a second round was luck alone, the whole season was to get a creature up only to be owned by the dragon cards and the God Cards, oh and Kaiba being non-believer despite obvious facts being in front of him
