"Make your gym somewhere that you want to go." I couldn't agree more man! I've catered mine to be a place that even when I'm not training, I'll often take my laptop to and edit videos or do homework. It's not just my gym, it's my freaking office! Keep it up Coop!
Ya, I was about to say, this is the kind of content that I miss and like watching. It isn't the high cost supreeme everything that costs an arm and a leg. These days, everything is a "value argument" not a practical for the average Joe guy trying to get a gym started, not a mortgage for the gym.
I mean where he’s at now is the destiny of any good channel. He’s already reviewed all of the entry level and diy projects. Not that there aren’t more that could be done, but now he gives comparisons of all the options. Do you guys just want him to keep reviewing the same items? 😂😂
@@paintfreek1357 Heres an idea, get your Hill Billy ass out of your couch and get a real job that pays well, raise a family, and build a business eventually like Coop, and then build an awesome garage gym with expensive state of the art equipment like a REAL Man
I like both actually. I’ve been working for a while and can afford few nice things. I’m not rich but I don’t care about cars and other things other dudes in my income bracket might care about. So, I like buying nice gym equipment that would make my garage gym more fun to spend time in, show off, and just enjoy looking at. However, there are things I wouldn’t mind having but can’t justify the cost- for example, expensive storage like Sorinex Iron Bear. It’s just not worth it for me. So I would go with something cheaper but not too cheap.
I bought the Titan barbell rack and it's excellent for the price. Unlike the Rogue version in which you have to pay extra for the plastic inserts, the Titan version comes with it.
I know this video came out in 2017 but thanks for the tip about the landmine attachment which can be used in a barbell/speciality barbell vertical holder.
I'm surprised with some of the negative reviews. I was so impressed with the ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxMwYg0MOXR4M-oGeyBsNSYe1aPOUoRH6D cage that I got the lat pulldown attachment that goes with it. It is equally outstanding. I don't have one complaint other than putting it together is a job. The instructions and packaging of the parts are very well designed and organized. Also, I stripped and damaged the pull down cable the first day, admitting it was my stupid fault, and they quickly replaced it at no charge. I'm 6'5, 280lbs and fit in the cage just fine. Glenn B
I use one of those shelves for my home gym. I can fit more dumbbells onto it that you can an actual angled dumbbell rack but it gets difficult to put the heavier dumbbells into the flat shelves. I can also put things other than dumbbells on it. It’s a good solution but it isn’t without any drawbacks.
Not just a place I go.... but my 9 year old comes down to Dance when I am working out....she even does curls and situps and pushups. My biggest issue with my gym is Organization...since it is shared with the cars/lawn epuipment and doubles as storage I sometimes need to setup and break down daily. Can't wait to get an outdoor storage/work shed and move all the lawn care junk and storage containers out to it.. then I can really get my garage gym setup how I want it. Like this videos
Daryle Mosby i feel that lol, I basically took most of January and February off because my gym is also my shop and it was filled with car parts after my car was hit and totalled on newyears. I rearranged it recently so I only need to roll my mower an engine on a stand and a box of parts outside to have room to lift. Its tight though and I might just be justified for doing curls in the squat rack!
Hey coop! I know this is an older video but how do you have your rings stored/ attached to the ceiling I see? Or do you have any new ideas on how to store rings?
@@GarageGymReviews Mine is in a small one car garage,so doing the best I can and it gets hot and humid in there .I want to make it a joy not a grind like you say .I wish I had more room because these days there is so much cool equipment you can get its insane.
Nice solutions, Coop! I have 2 York Vertical Machine Bar Racks for holding all my cable accessories and various grip implements and harnesses. They are very useful for keeping my stuff organized.
You should! They're great for developing forearm and finger strength. Also just a lot of fun to use and do something different than the usual movements.
Nice video man. I got a lot of great ideas from your video especially the peg board. What do you do with rack accessories (e.g monolift attachment, dip bars etc.)? Thanks.
Hahaha I see no need to have a Rogue storage rack 🤣🤣🤣 you should have a chat with todays Coop. This guy attached his storage to his power rack and has 10,000 lbs of steel, weights, and bolts 😂
What did you use in the gladiator rack to set your dumbells on? I have the same rack and each level of mine has a wire grid. I'd love to use it for my dumbells/kb.
Yo Coop! When did you get the York DBs? Was it part of the 50 cents/lb close-out "paint defect" sale? Also, when was the last time you whipped out the rolling thunder? You crushin' 150 yet?
I got those a couple of months ago during the sale. They're awesome for the price. I like to use the rolling thunder about once a week, would like to use it more, but I've been doing more farmers carries for grip lately.
I bought the Titan bar rack and they sent the wrong bolts with it. I contacted them and they sent me a second bar rack for free, but with the wrong bolts again

Same way here. There's no reason it needs to be a cold dungeon. Awesome channel by the way!
Thanks man! Means a lot!
Early Coop was so good! So modest and practical.
Back when Coop was practical in making his gym...

Glad to hear you're liking it! The price is excellent!
I just picked up battle ropes for my home gym! Awesome video !
Nice Ivan! I hope they work well for you!

The show has grown and the quality as well. Great job.
Nice one Coop -- totally agree on making your (for me, basement) gym a place you wanna go!
An oldie but a goodie, I'm going to look into those home depot shelves this weekend

i like the safe you have in the ceiling. great place to stash your loot.
Coop should do a tutorial on how to make a proper storage system out of a Titan T3
Awesome video man!! So happy i found this channel. You have really helped me in developing my garage gym into a place that i love to be in!
Awesome!
Great ideas in this video thanks coop
You're welcome Devin!
Your Chanel has come so far. Love all the vids though!
Hey coop! I know this is an older video but how do you have your rings stored/ attached to the ceiling I see? Or do you have any new ideas on how to store rings?
Very helpful and yes, we spend so much time in the gym it should be someplace that you want to go!
This is exactly what ive been wondering about for my home gym
Glad I could be of help!
Great solutions Coop! Loving these ideas and all of the versatility they provide 👍👍👍
Thanks Paul!
What’s your best suggestion on cutting and cleaning stall mats
You should do a video on how you made the rack that holds your plates
What did you use for flooring? Thank you
awesome gym.I have too much equipment in a tiny room in my apartment. All ex gym commercial stuff. All I need now is bigger room or garage.
Ahh, the struggle is real. My first gym was in half of a one car garage. Thanks for the kind words!
Living Room Gym Reviews lol (I got one in my 36 metres square flat too)

Skip the rack and invest in Powerblock dumbbells. Been using them for 20 years. Best part of my home gym.

Nice, I bet those look pretty sweet!
If you ran a gym....surely it would be the best equipped!.....i'd join!
Appreciate it!
You're welcome...
Got a nice 6 barbell storage rack off ebay...Made by Ollieroo, has nice plastic inserts as well, $36!!
Pretty nice... his gym is like a musem... it seems that it even smells good. It's too nice and neat...
I feel like this guy is more of a collector then a weight lifter
ua-cam.com/video/wVLq_dWuDx0/v-deo.html&lc=UgzptwkS0nnZlAqZ2-d4AaABAg
don't judge by the cover and yes... collecting is part of owning a home gym.
What would be a good storage idea for macebells?
Always great info , Thanks
be careful with vertical storage. those of us with low gym ceilings may find out the hard way that there isn’t enough clearance for it to work.
Too many many many bar for barbel, u use all🙄🙄??
Any reco's for PL disc storage? Wonder if bumper plate dish racks would work for them...
The same storage system would work. I know a few guys who hold their calibrated plates on a similar storage system.
this is a great channel. thank you.
What size gladiator rack is that? Picked up a set of prostyle dumbbells and I'll be looking for a way to store them without taking up a ton of space.
77 inches wide. Biggest one I could find.
if you don't mind, where do you recommend getting those big ass chains?
Where does Coop keep his Cooper if not in the garage?
Will rogue db trays/kettlebell trays/storage unit accessories for the Titan T-3 uprights?
is there a cheap and feesible option as an alternative to prowlers that can be done indoors, like in a garage gym? a special piece of equipment maybe?
Not cheap, but I like the XPO Sled!
Amazing gym!
Any recommendations for dividers for the Titan storage system?
Other than Rogues, I haven't seen any. I'd love to have some though. I just use my Dumbbell Bumpers as placeholders.
great channel! thks
Come a long way.
What's that hanging above the basketball hoop?
Metolius 3D simulator board
Yep, Ben is right. It's a great board!
CoopTrains that's sick. There's one at my school and I've always wondered what it was. Definitely picking one up when I have my own place.

Love this one - Is that some sort of ceiling anchor... track?
I beileve that's the garage door track.
where did your purchase your dumbells a set like that?
Rogue!
What brand is the garage storage shelf? It says "train" on it. Looks sturdy af
He said its a gladiator rack they sell it at home depot
Is your gladiator rack the 48” wide one? For some reason it looks bigger
Nope, it's wider than that
What did you use in the gladiator rack to set your dumbells on? I have the same rack and each level of mine has a wire grid. I'd love to use it for my dumbells/kb.
I added mdf board and then a stall mat on top of the wire grid. Works like a charm!
Thanks Coop! Keep up the good work!
@@GarageGymReviews Hey coop would this work without the mdf and just with stall mats?
Coop,
Where's the energy brother!!!
You do a pull-up through the ceiling bro?
Nah, was working on my vertical
Hey Coop what do you think of the Xebex 2.0 rower ??
Decent rower. Have a review of it on the site if you want my full take.
CoopTrains yea I looked on your channel to find it. Was it the 1.0 or 2.0. The one I watched you seemed really impressed by it but I could be wrong
why thank you
You're welcome sir!
This is when Coop was a baby.

Haha that is rough! I've heard of that happening from a few different people. Third times a charm?
What happened to your ceiling?
I saw that too.He does give good inspiration though.
How many barbells can you have in a 'home" gym? That's Overkill
I was expecting you to store things in the hole in the ceiling.
Baby coop😅
Why is there a hole on your ceiling.
I was working on my vertical and went a bit too high
Lol hand stand or anything else 🤣
You need more barbells
Amen
who has 20 bars???
Dude theirs a hole in your ceiling
Suh, dude.
Please move your gear off the American Flag! Great channel.
