I lived in Hove in 2003, then I lived Portsmouth for 2 years.B & H is the first city I lived in UK. your video bring me so many memory into my mind and body. thank you so much. the city barely changed
Spent plenty of time in Brighton and Hove when I was a child/young adult, from about 1948 (very hospitable family there!), and visited fairly regularly until 2006, when my mother, who'd retired to Shoreham-by-Sea, died. Very fond memories. I was interested to see what was still the same and what was new. It is, I think, a wonderful area to live, with a lively central city area, a lot to do, but still nice quiet areas to live. And a pretty good climate, other than the occasional Channel gale! Beautiful video; congratulations on filming on such a bright day and early enough to avoid the heaviest traffic.
This such a cool, well-filmed video! Im moving to Brighton in August and am not massively familiar with all the areas and how to get about. This video is so helpful and also makes me so excited to get down there :)
We are so glad our video has been helpful for your move to Brighton 🙌🏼 Check out our video of Seaford, this beach is located about 20 minutes from Brighton. Good luck exploring 😊
Brighton has become a shabby town . Best thing about it is the sea and beach ..but not so great in winter.when bitterly cold.. STILL .only a short trip to GATWICK AIRPORT for some real sun.,and LONDON only an hour away on train for a day of culture which is VERY LIMITED In Brighton
London is the biggest shithole in the country. As someone from Brighton I wish they destroy the London to Brighton line. It is Londoners that have come here and brought their crime and drug habits here. Oh and county line gangs, thanks London. Every time (rare, very rare in comparison to a sinkhole like London) a gun crime is committed, the person is probably from Croydon. Then of course Londoners have made property unaffordable in their quest to turn Brighton into the same shit hole they crawled out of. Oh and all the nice independent shops have given way to overpriced boutiques selling cheap shit to dumb housewives who spend their days stalking the Laines while their husbands are on the commute to London. I doubt I am the only person in the UK who gets excited every time Putin promises to nuke London.
Very interesting for me, I lived in Brighton and Hove during the 70s/80s, and worked in estate agency in Rottingdean. I drove along the A259 daily from Hove to Rottingdean for many years, including the one when the Grand Hotel was bombed, after which my route had to change for some time. I can see many changes but I recognised all of your Hove route, you passed the King Alfred Leisure Centre on seafront, I would turn right there into Sackville Road and past Blatchington Road, to my road opposite what was once Hove Hospital. Lovely to see my old hometown again, its been many years since I visited.
To Badsha Khan: Visiting Brighton is like candy for the eyes; and experience for the soul. The university's nourishment for the mind, however, may regurgitate indigestible memories of being pressured to become like a sponge to soak and spew back on the exams/tests. There is no purpose in taking art to a factory.
I had a prawn sandwich snatched out of my hand at that Tesco Express by Hove station in 2011. Came at me from behind, clouted me on the head and left a beak shaped bite mark out of the middle of the slice i was holding. 🤦
Havent been back to my home town for nearly a year now so this brought back some fond memories. Cheers! :)
I live in Brighton and it is a really nice place, when the weather is nice of course😂
Whats it like on the front in Winter ?

I think the city of london paid you to say that
You're obviously never been to Hastings, Dover, Ramsgate...

Beautiful road trip. Enjoy your road trip and take care.
Thanks for visiting - glad you enjoyed our drive 😁
I moved away nearly 15 years ago and regret that decision every day. Nothing like home.
I’d like to live there…but the house prices are silly…
Drive safe myself. . Great view 👍😊
Thank you for watching 😊
I wish the traffic on the sea-front was this sparse all the time.
The very early start helped us with less traffic - glad you enjoyed our video 😊
4:00 ahhhhhh brighton university ❤❤ i am coming for sep intake🤩🤩

I have lived in Brighton for 3 years while studying . The video dose not cover the lanes . East Street West Street church Road etc
The lanes are everywhere outside the town…difficult for caravans unless you stay on the Aroads..
My old stomping ground.
Is it a bad area❓
Love this place ❤ best cities in uk 🇬🇧
Glad you enjoyed our drive 😁
👏👏👏
i miss my home!
A lot more traffic compared to 1993, my last visit.
this is nothing, this video must have been filmed on quite day.
See u soon Brighton my new home
It looks nice. Is it a nice place to live ?
Looks expensive there…they use the London pound i think…Llandudno is just as nice ,they use the Northern pound there..
This was filmed at 6am! The drunks and druggies sleeping off last nights bender!
No long stay parking apart from the council run multi-storey charging £40 for four hours!…….avoid this place!!
Too many drug dealers, rough sleepers, graffiti, overflowing waste bins, pollution and a demonstration every weekend.
Brighton didn't become Brighton and Hove. Brighton and Hove became a city though.
Why would I visit Brighton ??
Nearest seaside to London apart from Southend, Essex. Brighton alot posher than Southend. Lots more shops than Southend.
To Phillip Evans: To visit the beach and the AmEx football stadium. The Premier League is happening.
