@@eiccoaching8642 Actually I thought his Saville episode was super insightful. It shows you how even a close associate can be "charmed" by his performance to overlook his overt creepiness and predatory signs. You should remember also the Saville episode was the first one, where he clearly was slightly out of his elements still and was grasping the format. Towards the end, especially in the Max Clifford one, Louis went completely beast mode.
Louis is great because he comes across to the people he's talking to as a bit silly and a simple posh English guy but really he's getting more info out of then then anyone else would
I used to find him cringey and embarrassing with his nerdy naivety. More fool me.He’s actually extremely smart and crafty when comes to getting people to drop their guard. Also the porn episode was brilliant.
Louis is simply the best journalist the UK has ever spawned: So inteligent, so humble, so sincere, and willing to investigete the most taboo cultures with a passively probing expose on the topic he is eloquently disarming
Renee Zellweger is from Texas and she's virtually clutching her pearls at this whole story 😅 it ain't Southern manners but it's so funny watching the other two being overcome by Louis's story
He did actually feature in a porn film, I think he was meant to be the Park ranger. Its been literally decades since I watched it, but I remember he got a cameo in one of the films.
Oh thank you so much. I was trying to place him and I knew I had seen him in a number of things. At this is one of the funniest moments ever on Graham Norton. I got here cuz I was trying to find out what the deal was with my money don't jingle jingle. I keep seeing and hearing it
Louis is awesome!!! binging on Weird Weekends right now and absolutely loving it, cracked me up so many times again. The Rap episode is legendary. Young Louis was just too good.
It's so funny how the porn episode was one of the first I watched, and then i knew Louis was a super dedicated and courageous journo, and I watched most of his stuff because of that one episode
Louis Theroux is brilliantly insightful and intelligent while at the same time providing truly entertaining high-level humor in an enlightening format. I remember watching his documentaries already as a kid with my dad - a massive positive influence throughout my whole life. Thank you, Louis!
Lenny Henry is sharp as! with his wood/tree metaphors. The willow one was the best, you really need a basic knowledge of trees to get how apt that one is :D
The brilliance of Graham Norton as an interviewer is setting the stage and then allowing the actors and actresses to tell stories without constantly interrupting them like Jimmy Fallon does.
It is fascinating how humans are so ashamed of sex, sexuality and their genitalia. The only animal on earth to be so ashamed. Even ashamed of being naked.
... and the only one with self-conscientiousness. The only.ones who recognize ourselves in the mirror, who bully each others looks and who know what shame is...
It time and time again amazes me about Theroux how crazy he is to try things and yet, he is not comfortable to speak about those experiences, or not able for some reason to conjure up words for those, yet it is shown in documentary... After a while you realize how powerful his documentaries are, but just seeing this guy in interview or on street, cannot believe, nobody would hire him. You just have to see it. He's like war journalist in front line but processing some of most taboo or difficult subjects in civilian current world. Difficult also for him which makes him great journalist.
I watched that episode not long after buying an Amazon Echo. He interviews a pornstar called Alexa and repeatedly says her name before asking a very...erm....explicit question! I had to leap up and rip the plug out of the wall as the Echo kept responding!!! 😳

Louis Theroux is the UK's most underrated comedian. He knows exactly how to tell this story.
Matt Gilbertson He’s not even a comedian by trade but is just naturally funny
That might be because he's not a comedian. As a documentarist, I can't really think of _anyone_ more highly rated than him.
Haha he cant start interviewing the people he does if they thought he was a comedian he’d get chased off and we’d never see the material haha

He used to hang with adam buxton and joe cornish. The seriousness is definitely an act then! They are the two least serious on earth.
I call it being confidently awkward.
This guy goes where no one dares to go and is genuinely ernest about it too. Brilliant journalist. 👏
