You are right. Other big companies learnt to perform fake personalities to make their speech sounds confident and passionate, but it doesn't work long term, people see them now what they are. Meanwhile these guys just make a great game and feel nervous while announce the game in which they put countless hours of their lives, and even then people can see their true character by such a small "non-professional" thing as trying not to cry from joy while giving the speech, these things fakers will never be able to perform.
What I noticed though, is after the trailer, and when they realized on screen this guy was the Managing Director I think everyone on that chat suddenly found a way to relate to him. It went from them laughing, to sending him hearts and love. The channel totally changed in the end, when I think they realized how much he cared and how nervous he really was.

PoE gonna have 40 ascendancy classes on top of the already infinite build possibilities and itemization and a huge talent tree... D4 has a talent twig.
@@TheBubbeloo Poe has a great lore as well, but it's not shoved straight into your face, but it's more gently with it, like Dark Souls games. I recommend Kitten Cat Noodle lore series about POE1.

Blizzard has also changed a lot of the original lore. Diablo 1 said, there was only 1 prince ... Albrecht. And King Leoric was killed by a man called Lachdanan, who was the captain of the army. Diablo 3 said, Leoric was killed by his first son, Aidan. Prince Aidan also is named as father of Leah. Lachdanan is forgotten and exiled. Maybe ... this is his ... Path of Exile.

Yup. After leaving Diablo for PoE (I played PoE back in beta but never got into it). I couldn't be happier. PoE has depth like no other ARPG. And is in that echelon of Dark Souls games in terms of just sucking you into the world.

I followed all things blizzard related for nearly 15 years and I’ve never seen a dev that truly cared about their game even a 20th of what I just watched on stage. I picked up PoE 5 days ago. I finished all the acts and am deep into mapping, and I’ve never ever played a game that is so complex and intricate, that is clearly made and immersed in care, this was my belief just in playing the game. It’s truly awesome that I can feel how much they care about their game just by playing it, and him struggling not to cry while unveiling it just shows that.
When he almost started crying I felt that. I've barely played the game but I did buy beta supporter before the initial release and I'm really fucking glad I supported these guys in making such a great game.

They don't need to be tier-1 godlike humans in all aspects - especially those that are social, nor is it even possible for any of us to be masters all of things human. What people need to understand is that life is full of "awkward" and "cringey" moments. It's those moments that make things so darned fun sometimes. Most of the people that are hypersensitive to these situations are younger kids that have little social exposure. We all screw up and we all have to improvise from time-to-time. Until you have to get in front of over 100,000 pairs of live viewing eyes to experience it, it's a little entitled to sit there and critique a performance.
I don't know, maybe because I'm used to it, but I actually love the "toxic" Twitch chat. Like, there are too many people in any popular stream to have a real chat, so might as well embrace all the memes and fuckery.

I like how this compared to recent PoE2 trailers looks as bad as 2014 PoE1 looks compared to modern PoE1. Modern PoE1 looks better than this. Insane graphics and sound improvement
It already looks better then diablo 4, ggg killed my hype for d4 with this one reveal. Same goes for thousands of others. This is a whole new game, not a rehashed piece of garbage that the community hated called d3. This is a true successor not a copout like d3.
I'm happy with PoE 2 'cause the original game looks so ugly and is poorly optimized. Happy with the changes made. But I just went back and watched D4 gameplay and there are just things that D4 has that PoE 2 still doesn't have, which is fine. As long as PoE 2 runs well then I'm happy. Graphically the upgrade was big enough for me personally. But I definitely dig D4 graphics more. But gameplay PoE 2 > Diablo 4 probably. But we'll see.
@@MalphasMikaelson I do not think POEs 2 graphics are that far if you ask me. With a bit of more dynamic lightning and lightning in general and physics in the world ( rocks,wood, grass, wind elements like moving flags maybe and many more details in the world ) the results will be very close despite D4s graphics having a better base ( graphic engine in short ) from the get go. I agree that POE is all about gameplay depth and everything that diablo wont offer, which is all that matters in the end than graphics but i wouldnt mind the best possible graphical outcome for POE 2 either so game not only can compete with D4 but with future ARPGs as well.
@@AzatisS I assume D4 might do tweaking with graphics still as well since the rumor is that it won't even come out Blizzard soon. So PoE 2 is probably releasing before D4 does. Which means D4 will definitely do extra tweaking to try and make it as good as possible. My main worry is how smooth gameplay is. No bias here btw. I've played both D3 and PoE and I prefer PoE. But certain things in PoE you can just tell they had a lower budget when it was designed and it's not that smooth. Smoothness is fixed a bit by getting a lot of attack or cast speed. But Diablo 3 whatever you do it's actually so smooth. Even the early levels of gameplay. Watching a bit of PoE 2 gameplay it seems pretty similar to how PoE is right now. And Kripp didn't even know if it really was smoother to play. All he said was he doesn't know 'cause he doesn't have his own keybindings. But I feel if a game is smoother you should be able to tell easily. Whereas in Diablo 4 I can actually tell that gameplay is really smooth so I do like that. The Druid gameplay especially with the shapeshifting it's all so fluent. That's a big deal to me. And I assume PoE 2 did improve on that I'm just wondering how much.
I´m honest: POE didn´t get my attention as it should have been - i wasted my time with a lot of other stupid, unworthy games... but after THIS announcement, im going to buy some ingame stuff to support those wonderful people and will happily wait for this "expansion" while i starting to play the "classic"-game. Props to the developers, may you drown in cash for your hard work - seems you´ve earned it and I´m SO happy to see that your company seems to be the messiah of this genre.
Just purchase the support pack if you want to spend some real money on the game... there's a $30 &$60 (i prefer the $60) which gives u mtx and points to spend on other things in the store... you can also purchase the core supporter packs which are a bit expensive ranging between $60 - $480, the top end packs includes physical items such as shirt, hoodies, etc depends on which one you choose... ☺☺☺☺☺ Edit: if you're new and want to spend less money there is a blood pack that gives u a weapon effect and a stash tab with some points... it cost $20 and is a one time per account purchase
I never was able to truly grasp this game. I saw the unbelievable prices of the micro-transactions and pushed it aside thinking it was a cash grab. I tried it again recently and really saw its true colors, on top of that seeing his reaction live has made me feel like I owe it to him to play it. The games good. And the Devs are better, we need more like them.

Then I've realized that in comparison diablo 3 looked so simple and non-dynamic that it made me sad. So saying shit like only poor niggas plays poe is so extremely ignorant because the game itself is just infinitely better when it comes to gameplay and multiplayer experiences. Blizzard will keep saying that diablo 3 is a success but only because the game made a lot of money for them not because it was actually a great hack'n'slash it's all about that marketing for them nothing else. Actually I hope that D4 is gonna be great but I won't trust blizzard again and won't buy the game before I check it.

new league starts on dec 14 I think. you should definitely play then. leagues are super fun and social compared to the base game. there is a sense of community and shared effort during early league. the reddit community is also very nice.

You should look at Chris Metzen, he is basically the blueprint for a dev who loves their game. Good Stuff From Chris thought and the GGG team.

@Your Neighbor Is A Bot Nailed it. We're here because GGG has excellent developers. They don't need to be tier-1 godlike humans in all aspects - especially those that are social, nor is it even possible for any of us to be masters all of things human.
What people need to understand is that life is full of "awkward" and "cringey" moments. It's those moments that make things so darned fun sometimes. Most of the people that are hypersensitive to these situations are younger kids that have little social exposure.
We all screw up and we all have to improvise from time-to-time. Until you have to get in front of over 100,000 pairs of live viewing eyes to experience it, it's a little entitled to sit there and critique a performance.
I don't know, maybe because I'm used to it, but I actually love the "toxic" Twitch chat. Like, there are too many people in any popular stream to have a real chat, so might as well embrace all the memes and fuckery.

I like how this compared to recent PoE2 trailers looks as bad as 2014 PoE1 looks compared to modern PoE1. Modern PoE1 looks better than this. Insane graphics and sound improvement

A bit more dynamic lightning on skills and settings plus a bit more of physics and POE 2 has literally nothing to be jealous of D4 graphic wise.
It already looks better then diablo 4, ggg killed my hype for d4 with this one reveal. Same goes for thousands of others. This is a whole new game, not a rehashed piece of garbage that the community hated called d3. This is a true successor not a copout like d3.
I'm happy with PoE 2 'cause the original game looks so ugly and is poorly optimized. Happy with the changes made. But I just went back and watched D4 gameplay and there are just things that D4 has that PoE 2 still doesn't have, which is fine. As long as PoE 2 runs well then I'm happy. Graphically the upgrade was big enough for me personally. But I definitely dig D4 graphics more. But gameplay PoE 2 > Diablo 4 probably. But we'll see.
@@MalphasMikaelson I do not think POEs 2 graphics are that far if you ask me. With a bit of more dynamic lightning and lightning in general and physics in the world ( rocks,wood, grass, wind elements like moving flags maybe and many more details in the world ) the results will be very close despite D4s graphics having a better base ( graphic engine in short ) from the get go. I agree that POE is all about gameplay depth and everything that diablo wont offer, which is all that matters in the end than graphics but i wouldnt mind the best possible graphical outcome for POE 2 either so game not only can compete with D4 but with future ARPGs as well.
@@AzatisS I assume D4 might do tweaking with graphics still as well since the rumor is that it won't even come out Blizzard soon. So PoE 2 is probably releasing before D4 does. Which means D4 will definitely do extra tweaking to try and make it as good as possible.
My main worry is how smooth gameplay is. No bias here btw. I've played both D3 and PoE and I prefer PoE. But certain things in PoE you can just tell they had a lower budget when it was designed and it's not that smooth. Smoothness is fixed a bit by getting a lot of attack or cast speed. But Diablo 3 whatever you do it's actually so smooth. Even the early levels of gameplay. Watching a bit of PoE 2 gameplay it seems pretty similar to how PoE is right now. And Kripp didn't even know if it really was smoother to play. All he said was he doesn't know 'cause he doesn't have his own keybindings. But I feel if a game is smoother you should be able to tell easily.
Whereas in Diablo 4 I can actually tell that gameplay is really smooth so I do like that. The Druid gameplay especially with the shapeshifting it's all so fluent. That's a big deal to me. And I assume PoE 2 did improve on that I'm just wondering how much.

I´m honest: POE didn´t get my attention as it should have been - i wasted my time with a lot of other stupid, unworthy games... but after THIS announcement, im going to buy some ingame stuff to support those wonderful people and will happily wait for this "expansion" while i starting to play the "classic"-game.
Props to the developers, may you drown in cash for your hard work - seems you´ve earned it and I´m SO happy to see that your company seems to be the messiah of this genre.
Just purchase the support pack if you want to spend some real money on the game... there's a $30 &$60 (i prefer the $60) which gives u mtx and points to spend on other things in the store... you can also purchase the core supporter packs which are a bit expensive ranging between $60 - $480, the top end packs includes physical items such as shirt, hoodies, etc depends on which one you choose... ☺☺☺☺☺
Edit: if you're new and want to spend less money there is a blood pack that gives u a weapon effect and a stash tab with some points... it cost $20 and is a one time per account purchase

I never was able to truly grasp this game. I saw the unbelievable prices of the micro-transactions and pushed it aside thinking it was a cash grab. I tried it again recently and really saw its true colors, on top of that seeing his reaction live has made me feel like I owe it to him to play it. The games good. And the Devs are better, we need more like them.

Then I've realized that in comparison diablo 3 looked so simple and non-dynamic that it made me sad. infinitely better when it comes to gameplay and multiplayer experiences. Blizzard will keep saying that diablo 3 is a success but only because the game made a lot of money for them not because it was actually a great hack'n'slash it's all about that marketing for them nothing else. Actually I hope that D4 is gonna be great but I won't trust blizzard again and won't buy the game before I check it.
That man's passion for this game is palpable. I'm going to download it and join the PoE community. The game looks amazing and PoE 2 looks absolutely breathtaking.
new league starts on dec 14 I think. you should definitely play then. leagues are super fun and social compared to the base game. there is a sense of community and shared effort during early league. the reddit community is also very nice.
