😞 MEASURED INCORRECTLY: RV Awning Fabric Replacement

There’s no shame in trusting a buddy to help you.
In fact, we encourage DIYers and money is tight, so why not order your own awning material?
Just wanted to show how to properly measure your awning, so that you can find an awning that fits.
***In addition to the wrong size being ordered, Dometic mislabeled this fabric and sent the wrong one, making it even shorter than the size that was needed.
We learned to always measure the fabric out of the box to ensure that it’s correct before we install it.
We called him with the bad news before installation.
This particular customer was going on a camping trip that day and instructed us to install the awning anyway, but will replace it later.

And yet, not. I'm sure it worked to stay out of the sun, but you'd be surprised how many folks want the awning to actually cover their doors. (Raises hand) lol
