    That’s an awesome build. Really cool to see your able to shave that much weight. Even with going with a larger skid/ track

    What spring and helix are you using in the Team? I actually put a QRS on my 600RS because it was a pain getting a helix that worked and had reverse.

      This current build is roughly $8,000 CDN in parts listed in the description. We are still in the experimental stage with hopes of one day having a refined product for Ski-Doo owners.

    Was curious which machinest you got to make the p drive titanium flange bolt?.. and wondering if it messes up the weight of the clutch?.. was thinking about sending the chain tentioner bolt away to get made as well...

    • @CarlKusterMountainPark
      @CarlKusterMountainPark  Рік тому +1

      We had all our bolts titanium and aluminum made by a company out of NJ, Very timely process as we had to take measurements and create CAD files individually and now that we are on the Gen5 platform as well as learning lots of what we need more of in titanium vs aluminum we are hoping to find a supplier a bit closer to us on the west coast.
      Regarding the pDrive flange bolt, we have never had an issue with the clutching throughout numerous builds.

      Thanks for the reply! I ended up ordering some short stock rounds online and maybe found a machinest in williams lk that can do a nice job with the flange and tentioner screw :) they should start coming stock built out of titanium lol

  • @gymkhanadog
    @gymkhanadog Рік тому

    So basically you have to spend 5-6k to shed real pounds. I had considered doing all the bolts on my sled in titanium but maybe it's not worth it. I am building a carbon fiber hood and cowling though, that should be good for a lot of weight on my Edge chassis.

    Delete the oil injection! Save like 10 pounds by taking the pump and reservoir off who cares if you have to mix gas lol also notch the track, titanium shock springs save a lot of weight,

    • @grgsrvc
      @grgsrvc Рік тому

      How do you oil the crank case then on an efi motor??? That was a cool weight loss truck on an old carburetor style motor but when you are injecting the fuel at the last moment before the compression stroke there isn’t any air fuel/oil mix in the crankcase.

    • @Yz4Life
      @Yz4Life Рік тому

      @@grgsrvc the crank case of a 2 stroke is constantly bathed in the oil/gas mixture. On higher revving engines you drill passages in the crank case that connect to the bearings and they will be oiled. Oil injection does not send oil to the bottom end. It just mixes it with the fuel before the reed cages lol
