- The sled is back together! We are happy with the weight savings, and since filming, we have been able to ride it, and it’s a riot!
Watch for the first ride, and more improvements as I get some seat time on this sled!
Such a sick build dude! Nice work 👍 that thing would be an absolute riot to ride, I’ll be watching for some videos!
when are you heading out to BC??? or are you on hold this winter? I am looking forward to your channel?
Thank you!! Hopefully we get more snow soon, it’s still pretty thin here
@@SteveMartin12 any vids of how it rips?
Oh snap!!!! She’s gonna be insane!!! Your so stoked on the Mvm belt drive gonna make it rad!
Let’s go!!
Thanks brotha! You need to ride it
Hey Steve, I think I know you. We went to Valemont together many years ago for snowmobiling with our families. My Dad is Bob Fotheringham and we snowmobiled with friends from Saskatchewan, the Langfords, in the mountains. This was many years ago as you were maybe 4 years old. You'll maybe have to ask your Dad, Clare. Cool videos and a very impressive shop!!
Wow that’s awesome! Yes my dad is Clare, I’ll show him this message!
Nice work Steve! Can't to watch you rip this thing!
Thank you! Hopefully soon!
It looks absolutely stunning and also beeing able to make it extremely light weight aswell, thats just incredible, what an amazing work guys! Looking forward A LOT to watch clips of it from the mountains this winter, its going to perform like an absolute beast, what a amazing build guys!!🙏🙌
Thank you! Just need a little more snow, and there will be a first ride impression video
That thing looks crazy. Really like the yellow hood makes it pop/standout
Thank you! I think it looks even better in person!
So damn cool!!
Thank you!
Just need footage of it in the snow now!
Soon! Hopefully it snows this week
Nice sled though!
Hi. Why did you get those shocks in the front and not fox float? budget dosen't seem to be the problem and fox are much better and i think lighter aswell
I’ve been trying to get a set of the lightweight Fox shocks, all 4, but I haven’t seen them yet, so this will have to work for now. Thanks for watching!
Only been waiting 2 months for this video😂
Haha yeah, it took forever for some random parts to show up
This is a cool build I want to see it in person and take it for a rip. Where will it have first take off?
Southwest Wyoming/ northern Utah, where do you ride?
Theres no way that the high clearence a-arms are lighter than stock. they do bend easier so less risk of damage to the S-Module
Yeah they are heavier. But I thought they looked cool, I actually switched back to the stock a arms
What ratio did you go with on the belt drive?
I actually geared up, and the 2.86 drivers also geared it up. I would actually gear down next time, it seemed to put to hold the aggressive part of the ramp longer, and made it a little lazy in sticky snow. Mountain Valley Machine actually recommended lower gearing than I chose.
I wonder anyone makes a kit to run an external intake like that for the silber turbo kit
They may, but they’re easy to build.
What’s the $ per lb look like is my question?
I haven’t mentally prepared myself to do the math yet. Haha. I’ll talk about that next video
What is the aftermarket fuel tank option?
Trail tanks makes an 11 gallon tank compatible with the ‘18 RS cooler
Shows us more race shop goodies!
Haha will do!
dope as fak!
Thank you!
This is an awesome build and I can't wait to see videos of it on the snow. Also I saw a video about someone using a p85 clutch on an skidoo 850 and saving 4-7 lbs. This might be another way to lighten the sled up a little more and lose some rotational weight. I believe powderfreaks does the machining to make it work, here's video ua-cam.com/video/WQmnJcm59iQ/v-deo.html
That’s interesting for sure! I have a fixed half for a skidoo 850 that is for a p-85, I’ll look into that! Thanks for the tip
Wow so you showed us those weak ass KYB shocks then the final product has fox reservoir socks with what I could see, maybe a titanium main spring and it might even be dual rate? Why ?
I’m running re-valved Fox shocks in the rear, and I rode it twice with the KYB’s in the front, but they were significantly softer than the rears, so it was unbalanced. Those are older Fox qs3 shocks I had on a ‘17 850, I put on for now so it would better match the rear, I want to get a set of the lightweight Fox shocks for this sled, but this will work for now
Can’t hear you!
