Exactly he is the best one that I have found on UA-cam.

What happening my fellow New Yorker???
What are the best trimmers out on the market right now??? And what product do you use that prevents hair bumps???
"This video is clutch" ? Is that a new millennial term? Lol
I've seen so many videos that have so much assumed knowledge about fades. Finally a CLEAR video THANK YOU this was so helpful
Alexandra Patricia, I could not agree more. I've viewed so many instructional videos. This one clicks with me
vvv2k12 yep
im glad we could help! thanks so much for your positive feedback!
Alexandra Patricia
You sexy angel!!!
Alexandra Patricia first time trying this wish me luck
So much respect for you in the way you approached this video - concisely breaking everything down with fractions so there is 0 room for misinterpretation. Your literalness is impressive and admirable. Oh, and that's a tight ass fade too my man.
We Appretiate your very kind words. You are the reason we started this journey. thank you. we wish you nothing but the best with all your future endeavors and are very glad we could have helped you in any way.
When teachers said math applies to everything they really meant it.
PabloCruise91 math is everywhere bruh and I mean EVERYWHERE so don’t take it for granted
I'm good at math so I'm good 😂😂
Not really math tho just numbers
Yeah but not algebra 2 😂
What do you think math is?
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE!!!!! This is perfect, and just what I was looking for. Only video that I could find that in great detail specifically explained the art of a proper fade. Thanks man
1 of the BEST fading tutorials I've seen. You can tell you put a lot of time and effort into it. It was dope!
Of all the tutorial I have watched on UA-cam, you are the only one who really explained it this way! A real education for non-barber like me. Truly educational! Thank you so much for this tutorial.
Finally, I found the perfect video that explains so well the different levels of an open and closed blade with guards. Thank you!!
This is a really great fading tutorial!!!! So far the best tutorial I have found for beginner faders like my self !!
That’s for explaining the levers and guards! Just started cutting my own hair, this helps a lot! thanks!!
Belonzi!!!! Bro thank you so f***ing much man, ive searched all over for someone to explain barbering basics and you my friend are a hero. Honestly most vids on here are just barbers shooting a vid thinking the viewer knows what the f**k hes talking about, but yours is what its supposed to be like. God bless my g .
You are very very welcome my brother. I'm glad we could have helped in anyway, your words are much appreciated, we wish you nothing but the best for your future endeavors
By far the best haircut tutorial on youtube ...a barber who knows how to teach and not too proud to show others -God bless you.
Thank you for being so detailed and exactly explaining the guards and levers each step of the way
I just gave myself a Corona Clipper Cut and it looks pretty darn good!
Never tried it before and I was pleasantly surprised with the result.👍
Barber Edu, thanks a million for breaking it down for us how do barbering, you're the only barber so far to show how to use the guards step by step in mathematical order. I greatly appreciate no doubt. Keep up good work bro.
Man, thank you for concisely explaining how the guards and lever work relate with each other.
After watching 100’s of videos. This is I was waiting for. Detail explanation of the guards.
Best “How to Fade” video on UA-cam 🏆👏🏾
Thank you! I just got into this game and nobody has described it like you, educational and straight to the point
That's awesome man, I'd like to thank you for your friendly and humble manner of display and I extend my thanks to the gentleman who played the role of a client.
I am not sure if this is helpful, but I thought you might benefit from my notes... great job on the video. Well done.
Also, I think the formula works like this. Total of 5 steps. Every step should reduce by 1/2 a point (in general).
Fading Down
1) #2 Guard (Purple) and Open Blade OR 2 + ½ = 2 ½
2) #2 Guard (Purple) and Closed Blade OR 2 + 0 = 2
3) #1 Guard (Brown) and ½ Open Blade OR 1 + ½ = 1 ½
4) #1 Guard (Brown) and ¼ Open Blade OR 1 + ¼ = 1 ¼
5) #1 Guard (Brown) and Closed Blade OR 1 + 0 = 1
Fading Up - all the steps above in the reverse order.
Meeting in the Middle
1) Blending it with #3 used at the top…
2) #2 Guard (Purple) and ½ Open Blade OR 2 + ½ = 2 ½
3) #2 Guard (Purple) and Closed Blade OR 2 + 0 = 2
4) #1 Guard (Brown) and Closed Blade at the bottom OR 1 + 0 = 1
5) #1 Guard (Brown) and ¼ Open Blade fading up OR 1 + ¼ = 1 ¼
6) #1 Guard (Brown) and ½ Open Blade OR 1 + ½ = 1 ½
Back Neckline Tapering
1) ½ Open Blade (No Guards) - start at the very bottom
2) ¼ Open Blade
3) 3/8 Slightly Closed Blade
4) 0 or completely closed
5) 1/8 or slightly open to tie it all together
The Blend for Tapering (need special guard called the Half Guard (White)). Combined with the open blade will be represented as #1 Guard and with closed blade will be represented as ½. Half way open with be represented as ¾
1) All the way open or ½ + ½ = 1
2) ½ + ¼ = ¾
3) ½ + 0 = ½
Clean.
Thanks mate, you explained that v well. Now to practice on the boys!!
i've seriously watched 15 videos....THIS IS THE BEST ONE YET! Easiest to follow and explanation is great!!!!
Exactly the information that I was looking for! Thanks so much for making this video. I wasn't sure whether the lever fully open was halfway to the next number or at the next number up. Thanks for pointing out how to get 3/4 of the way to number 1 with the white guard.
Your instruction and video are among the best I ve seen so far. Easy to follow, easy to understand. Definitely puts me at ease when I attempt to do my own. Thank you!
I appreciate the math now I'm going to retake my G.E.D exam
Very detail, best tutorial about fading in youtube. Thanks a lot.
I watched lots of tutorials online about how to fade,. And yes, they all showed how to fade but they don’t really tell in detail what, when and how i need to open or closed blades and guards. And they do so fast without pointing out the guards or blades. They made the tutorials as if i already know all the techniques and major terms about haircut.
This video helped me understand fading tremendously! I’m fairly new to men’s haircuts and I can finally say I understand them now! Thank you!
Awesome step by step video 🔥. Hello from Edinburg Texas 🍻
I've watched alot of Fade tutorials... final one that clearly explains step by step. By far the best tutorial I've come across. Thank yoy
I was looking for a video like this in forever!!! Thank you!! You explained well how the lever and guards relate!
Best video so far on fading. Explained really well what everything was which made it less confusing. Thank you!
this video was more informative about the guards and lever open/close then 1000 of the videos ive watched, i just subscribed THANK U FOR BEING VERY CLEAR ABOUT ALL THE NUMBERS AND DIFFERENT WAYS OF FADING UP/DOWN, GOD BLESS
Finally someone who breaks down the basics of what the numbers on guards mean. Love your thorough approach 👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the detailed and explicit guide to using guards and tapering lever to achieve perfect blend, greatly appreciated
Best video I've seen no goofy effects just simple easy to understand tutorial ! 🔥
Who here gonna try and cut they own hair because of the corona virus 😂😂😂
Edit: Tried to give myself a fade, ended up with a buzz cut ☹️
Me

Spent 4 hours at it. No 8 all over - impossible to go wrong with that. Then fade a little with No 7 and 6. First time doing it and it's passable. I did better than the barber with my hair whorl - I now suspect they deliberately f* that up for more frequent business. Can't tidy the back lower hair line unless I mount an endoscope camera on the clipper, but won't bother. From now on, I won't go to the barbers unless on special occasions. My own cut is good enough for casual.
FunGames 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Me tomorrow haha
Make a video on what clippers and trimmers to use for beginners
Google it
Thank you for this… I needed a refresher and this is the first time I’ve seen a video that fades down. That’s how I was taught in it’s the cleanest fade I’ve ever done.
Thank you for this video. I finally found someone that explains what is open and close blade. Love this video.
ok thank you so much
So helpful especially for beginners! Can ur next video be on how the shape of the head will determine where and how far up you go with the fade.
You can just ask the client where they want the fade up to or ect
I LOVE this video!! Thanks for making it easier to understand. I'm finally getting better at fading my hair thanks to you! And the Wahl is so much better than andis for beginners like myself. Awesome job.
I have honestly watched more than 1 hundred videos of barbers who make videos to explain the art of cutting hair and this barber starts off with the basics regarding how and why each clipper guard is used. His choice of words are spot on Great video for beginners.
Damn thx bro! Needed this rn since my barber isn’t doing haircuts no more cuz of corona virus so imma try and give myself a fade 😂
this the easy way to to do a fade I'm in school never got a fade hair cut but once so have to l earn how to cut it I did with my teacher help after seen this I got a better out look a about it thank for show this video it help me
im glad we could help! thanks for your feedback!
Tarrence Martin Study harder in school, especially grammer.
ke1nyc2012 You too grammar isn't spelled grammer.
Freddy Kruger Thanks. You missed a period in your sentence fragment.
WOW!!! mixing the lever with the guard just took my sons fade to a new level lol he loves it! Thank you!!!
Self quarantined from COVID and going to have to go it alone cutting my hair, finally I learned something about fading and what the numbers represent and how to use them. thank you!
at 4:25 when you say finish with a 2 1/2 "closed" blade don't you mean "open" ?
Omg yes thank you that's what I was reading through the comments for too!! I was confused for a sec.??
Yes. He said closed but he has the lever open
I’m confused to bro
If it’s 1/2 it’s open 0 is closed
@tyrone No. Clippers that come with (00000-000) are not meant to be used with guards.
Those clippers are mostly used for balding or removing the first skin fade line.
I am not a barber. But based on the knowledge that I know.
Anyone feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.
What I would pay to have this guy cut my hair right now!
I have watched 100 tutorials over the last week trying to learn how to skin fade on my Marine husband and finally...this is money. I feel like there is finally hope for me. Thank you and Semper Fi!
Semper Fi! with much respect we appreciate your kind words, we are glad to have helped in any way. United we stand.
Your the first barber that Ive seen that explain and break things down like this great job!
Man I just did my egde and faded my own hair and I'm only 15 💯💯 keep it up bro
DaeQuin Pierre
I enjoy your positive attitude and outlook on the future. I'm just passing through. I'm twice your age and all I need to say is "stay away from people who do drugs and drink alcohol." People can bring you down and hinder your bright future. Do Not get in the car with someone who is up to no good. They could have drugs or a weapon on them and your life could be taken away within a second and careless act. I wasted most of half my life. Hang with positive, uplifting people. This is from my heart. Keep up the hard work and have fun. Stay healthy and eat healthy. You'll marry the love of your life and have beautiful children. Beans and rice is all a man needs to be happy with a family and a place to call home. One love youngster.
Joshua Espinoza damn where was u when i was 15 made bad choices but turned my life around. Still man thanks for those words.
Very dope video bro!! Keep them coming!!
you are the best teacher from all teachers I watch, your video class 101 I have watched it 10 time to learn piece by piece to learn the fading and lending,I never used the clipper before, because I use to be scared how to use it,I used to get nervous when someone asked me that they want me cut their hair and I never did but I think by watching 101 I can use the clipper fading like I said you are the best. thank you, I used to live in Brooklyn I moved to Glendale ca, 2000, I wish I have seen your video then I would have come and took some lessons with you. bravo.
one of the very few tutorials that actually gave really good advice thank you
awesome job . thank you for sharing couple of tips . the fade came out clean too. good shi
thank you! glad we could help!
I cut my own hair and every time I cut it, it looks decent but choppy at the same time
Your tutorial has a way better explanation then a lot of other channels, good job dude very helpful.
Wow. Beautiful. Thank you for the detailed explanation of the guards and the open/closed blade.

Gueroleon83
clipperguysays.wixsite.com/clipperguy/_p/prd13/4502958281/product/no-slip-clipper-grips
Pro band bother👌🏻
Where can I buy it? What's the name of the product? Black rubber ring
What's the grip called?
Look it up on Amazon bro
The absolute best video I have come across on how to use clippers. Thanks man!
Better than the rest tutorial on guards and technique. Genuine stand up guy. Thank you all the way from NW London to NY
4:26 2 1/2 OPEN BLADE
Great video man, however 4:26 of the video I think you meant to say open blade instead of closed blade lol
Ben Tsang good looks G
I'm female but wear my hair very short. I clipper my hair once a week. I needed more instructions on how to blend my guards. Your video has been the best I've viewed to help me blend my work. Thank you so much.
Hey loved the tutorial! Like other people said, a lot of videos don't go into a lot of detail with how to actually use the guards while fading. So thank you for showing us that. The only thing I would change is the lines behind the ears and making the jaw line a lot lower.Have an awesome day!
haircut great work....but giving him that beard line was painful to see!
is he osama bin laden brother?
@@issasumar4718 WTF is wrong with you, you fucking psychopath.
Issa Sumar 😂😂😂😂
It’s a bloke dressed up

Issa Sumar FUCK OSAMA BIN LADEN THAT GARBAGE IS BURNING IN HELL
damm i should’ve payed attention in school when they were talking about fractions 😔🖐🏽
I've seen alot videos tutorial but none of those explain like you just did ...BIG THANK YOU 💯
I’ve been looking for a video like this for ever thank you so much
He cut this many heads successfully
👇🏿
4:25 , that's open blade , not close
danh vo I caught that, too.
Me 2
Right, I was like wait I’m confused lol
so which is it open is toward you and closed is towards the clipper? I'm confused but loved the technique and the video?
open is lever down towards the floor, closed is level up towards the sky
Dude, You sooo answered my question I've been searching for. Awesome!!!
Jesus finally! I've been looking for a video like yours! Learning about the adjustment lever is key on fading. THANK YOU! :)
Nice vid bud! But why did you edge up the beard at the jaw line? It looks like a double chain, especially on chubby men like this dude
nissim baraness ever thought maybe that's how his client likes it? I'm sure buddy didn't jump in the chair and say just do what u want
think we all know why we're here #corona
Thank you finally someone who can help me im a cosmetologist but have barely any experience with mens haircuts😊
Thank you! this video helped me a lot and explain everything more clear than others videos.Thank you again!
I respect your skills on haircuts and the video was cool but you destroyed his beard; the neck line was way too high. Should stop slightly above adams apple
Well, I would've suggested that if the client had it a bit closer to his Adams apple or a couple inches below the jawline, then it would look more nicely done & when you talk it won't look like it is coming up on the sides as much, in sense it won't look like a double chin.
Exactly what i thought when he went high on that beard. that beard slimmed that guys neck and now its all lined . always line the top leave some on the neck.
The guy getting his haircut looks dead
Lmaooo
New to barbing, though I've desired for long, to bring it into my small biz.
I can tell fully (between yesterday and today, that you are the best.
I'm subscribing straight away.
God bless you.
Great teacher. Easy to follow. Best fade haircut video I’ve seen. Thank you.
I just used this real time. So easy to follow and expert advice. Thanks!!!!
Finally a good video this math method really makes sense for me I didn’t know anything about open and close but this video made me buy my own barber kit aha keep making videos!!🤘🏼
Thank you for all the advices and help.
The one and only video in youtube that has explained cutting skill. Very very helpful. This video has helped me to understand more than any other video ever in youtube. But I am very sad that you only have 2 videos, hope you will upload more helpful video soon.
The best training video I've seen so far for the fade.
I wish i could give this video a thousand likes. I love how you explained in details. Thank you
This was a good example of understanding gaurds and what they do , thank uuu
Perfect! Finally a video with precise information and no useless chatter. Especially the explanation regarding clipper sizes is something I missed in other videos. I`m in Switzerland, so just the numbers of clippers doesn`t reallly help (unless they`re the same all over the world, which I wouldn`t know). Thanks a lot. Thumb up and subscribed =O))
Best tutorial out there. I needed this!
Thanks, a unique video explaining how to use the guards and adjustments fully and simply. Now to have a go.
I had to stop the video to give you props I have watched dozens of videos in the past couple weeks And even though most of the barbers use the same technique they do not break down What the hell they're talking about their assume that you're already a barber. The simplistic way that you broke it down Gave me more knowledge in the 1st 4 minutes then all those other videos put together. Thank you very much
Best video that I’ve seen. Thank u for explaining properly
Crazy I’m looking at this video now and this the one who made the most sense and got me good
Thank you for making a video that’s actually meant for beginners
Nice information . Finally someone has a precise information abt clippers guards👍
Clear and concise. Thank you for explain the fade and blend process.
