Maybe I'm wrong but when I close my eyes and just listen.. its just that his voice has something of Freddie in it. Not by any comparison bc Freddie is just another 10 levels higher than this amazing band :))
//yeah, me also. so many things and moment with my parent. exspecially my dad. somewhere ( heart ) only we know how a priceless that moment. tears out and down...
+Jeff Bain Friend, my mother died 2 years ago, listening this song, I am in tears for her, pour even tears, for surely he loved you, there is a phrase in Brazil, who always wants to win, loses glory of to cry ,a hug !!!
The life goes on and we need to get old to realize what really matters: simple things and a person to trust at our side. This music is a hymn about the life.
I remember hearing this song the very first time when I was like 15 and as soon as the chorus hit it stuck with me and now at 32 I don't think this song could get any more beautiful than it already is. This will always be my jam
It was in 2007 when I first listened to this beautiful song. I was 15 at that time and it has been 9 years that this song has never disappeared on my favorite list. I know someone here feels the loss or sadness when it is played, but I don't. It just reminds me of ... somewhere only we know ... somewhere we definitely belong to ....somewhere we can breathe in peace .... somewhere we are who we are, no fake ... just who we are! Thank you Keane! You're a part of my youth :) Always.
It's so stupid. I didn't listen to this song for years and I forgot that it even existed. Somehow i came across to this live version and lyrics just hit me hard. As a grown-ass man who is in his 30s, I started to cry like a baby. And it's not that I have a particular memory about this song, it's just I miss those times. Eventhough my life is going great, I feel like everything is shit right now. I miss these songs, these people, these bands, that feeling and the joy. I don't know if my generation agree with this but I don't think I ever felt this much happy ever again. And it breaks my heart a little.
If u read this comment and u recognize you in him, go listen to the strokes too. And the killers. And Kaisers chiefs. And Franz Ferdinand. And the white stripes, the libertines, the arctic monkeys, and all of theses bands who save rocknroll in early 2000s
Mert Yenici same, I am 14 years old and I think it is shit too now, but keane is so pure. I love them so much and I am going to their second concert, I am the happiest girl alive when I see them live. I cried when they came on stage. Beautiful.
I just love festivals. A couple of days having the best time of your life with your best friends. No worries, just thinking about sun, beer, girls and music that brings emotions. Perfect.
I was there.. remember it like yesterday, one of the best bits of the entire weekend, Oasis were playing their last ever gig on the main stage, and me and my mate were here... we sooo made the right choice.. long live Keane, they smashed it. If you were there, you will remember having sunburn and singing along, loving it!

Suwasa Prapaipichit yeah it's too bad. Tom is solo now and singing on his own and made new songs. he is touring America soon and will be in Toronto but I miss Keane so I'd only would had gone if the group had toured again and sang these songs I love
Tom's voice is really one in a million... His voice is heavenly and that's why he actually got to sing with Queen for their song "It's A Hard Life" since Freddie's no longer here. You guys should check that performance out if you haven't yet.
This song is in my blood. But in general it is one of the most emotional concerts of Keane. Look at this Festival 2009 "Under pressure". Tom works here at 200%!
2000 to 2010 was the decade where the best songs ever produced by the bands. MCR, Keane, Linkin Park, RHCP, SOAD, Coldplay...just to name a few After 2010, all the good songs are gone
I learned about this awesome band just with this amazing song about five or six years ago... Now that I'm a bit older, I listen to it and it makes me think about the things that I've done and what it really matters in life...
that was one of the best singalongs i've ever heard. and that includes oasis, radiohead, green day....fuckin QUEEN...i mean, that was just massively magic, wasn't it? what a song.
sayjai bao I can relate. Everybody's Changing was personal to me. For me it reminded me of my dark days when I was losing myself to alcohol. I was majorly addicted. "Everybody's Changing And I Don't Feel Right" I was so use to getting drunk, but everyone I know around me waa growing up, getting married, having kids and didn't have time to party anymore and I felt out of place and didn't know what was wrong with me. "I try to stay awake and remember my name" one point everything was breaking on me, I couldn't stay sober and I was binge drinking for a week. I was afraid to go to sleep because my body was at the breaking point and I was afraid that I wasn't going to wake up. That's how much I had to drink and nothing to eat. Trying to remember my name, who I was before alcohol got to me. I'm now sober and haven't touched alcohol. everybody's Changing has meaning to me. It use to upset me but now it brings me strength :) I love sharing my personal story. Sorry for the long reply lol
Chris Mace thank you for sharing your wonderful story! Music (especially good music with beautiful lyrics) has the power to change ppl, since they make us think (and feel). When music relates to us, it really helps us grow as ppl. Anyway, be proud of yourself! Being sober is never easy, but you staying away from it is a very honorable thing (too many ppl succumb to it, and the ppl that love them suffer the most). Sending you hugs and love! Take care and continue to listen to this music and let it be a source of your strength! :-)
This is the most beautiful version of a most beautiful song I've ever seen. Thanks a million for uploading it.I'll watch it any time I'm feeling a bit low and it will restore my faith in humanity/. Love Liam x
Hi from this crazy terrible pandemical 2020. Seems like anything like this never happens again: such a beautiful song, such a festival, such an amazing crowd. Listening to this and crying.
Im being shunned from my entire family and friends. I always listen to this song thinking of my family. how much I miss them and want to see them but I cant. the song is sad and comforting at the same time.
I came across a fallen tree... I felt the branches of it looking at me... *wow Is this the place we used to love? Is this the place that I've been dreaming of? *totally awesome words
pianist is the soul of this band
Yeah
4 years later
also tom has a great voice, well suited for live performances
Maybe I'm wrong but when I close my eyes and just listen.. its just that his voice has something of Freddie in it. Not by any comparison bc Freddie is just another 10 levels higher than this amazing band :))

Father passed recently, this song always makes me think of him, back when I was growing up and things were a lot more simple. This song is timeless.
I'm sorry for your loss:(. And you're right. this song never gets old

It is. I think it’s ranked as one of the top 500 in a few lists
The life goes on and we need to get old to realize what really matters: simple things and a person to trust at our side.

Chris Mace yup..Lily Allen ruined it with her version... :-(
