If they are psychodynamically informed this is taken into account implicitly through the establishment of the therapeutic realtionship. Even if it was administered explicitly that still may not equate to how to help a person with the issue that brought them into treatment to begin with.
It's a part of basically any psychotherapy to help you explore and work on your current problems that may be rooted in your childhood and the attachment style of your caregivers.
From what I know, there's a training organized and a certificate issued to those who are trained in coding the AAI. So, you'll have to ask each one upon booking, whether they have been trained in this, I suppose.
@@vivvpprof Yes, the protocol and interpretation takes a long time to be trained on, it's not just having someone who is going to talk about your memories of childhood. Anyone can do that.
You would search for one who can do this, locally or one who offers virtual appointments, and pay for sessions with them. They're private and cost $90-$500 per hour averaging around the $200 mark, unless you can get a referral from your doctor to a hospital for free psychotherapy through a psychiatric assessment in Canada. I'm not sure where free services of this would be found in America, you could check teaching hospitals and universities. There's also a lot of free group resources, if you're socially comfortable.
