Not sure about the killer's motives in any of these cases. Let me know your thoughts below.
I am sure all your explanations would be the most suitable ones ❤️
No
Idk
It’s pronounced Minny-apolis. Idk where you’re getting Minny-Ann-apolis from. 😂
To be honest guilty as charged!
I often goof that one up, I’m fairly certain my brain gets stuck on the extra syllable in Indianapolis and my mouth insists on also giving Minneapolis an erroneous fifth syllable. 🤪
If I hired an investigation team to look into my family's murder and they brought in psychics I'd be pisssed
I,d be throwing hands
And then made a TV show out of it!
As long it’s coming from their paycheck, I can’t careless.
Yeah, they wouldn’t need a psychic to know their future was getting fired
That was disrespectful asf
As somebody who grew up around the area where Jodie disappeared, I can say that most locals believe her disappearance was caused by local organized crime and the police force wanting her gone. The story she was working on was a tell all and at the time, the area was still rural enough that police could do this kind of thing. It's commonly believed that she's buried under a machine shed in the backyard of the at-the-time sheriff's house, but he's refused to let anyone search for years.
That's what I remember about Jodie's case. Also, I had seen back in January 2020 a Find Jodie billboard was spray painted with the name "FRANK STEARNS" and "machine shed" . Stearns was a long-time Mason City police investigator who worked on the Huisentruit case. It was very odd. And yes I do believe it was the case she was working on that got her silenced by organized crime and the corrupt police.
wELL, WHEN THE SHERIFFS DIES THEN THEY CAN SEARCH THE BACK YARD.
@@C_AVATAR can confirm, I saw that graffiti in real life. Created a lot of buzz but they were unable to secure a warrant to search the property and that's where it rests to this day, AFAIK.
Why did they want her gone?
@Bizarro- nice! And you thought Jodi’s story was a tell-all
For the frozen head story - it's possible that he did something to someone's child or family member (that he was never charged with) and they decided to take justice into their own hands. I think this makes more sense than someone just looking up his name and confusing him for another person; it would better explain the severity of what was done to him and what was written on him.
My exact thoughts, the severity of this spread feels a lot more personal than a random google-search-gone-wrong situation, no way this was for revenge on a random stranger
TRUE justice is everyone getting shitted and everyone is miserable since nobody is without sin
Ok enough UA-cam comments for today.
Still won't prevent crime or really fix things. If guilty, it was deserved, but doing so in secret without proving guilt will make people think it was an innocent victim. That's not how you deal with crime.
@@SergioLeonardoCornejo If its personal they may not care about that
I can’t help but giggle when you say “Minnie-un-Apple-is”
This case was very horrifying for us in our neighborhood, and still horrible to think about
Yeah my husband and I cracked up. We're in Plymouth and I remember when they started finding pieces, but never heard that they found the head. Life has been really fucked up with us lately so I never remember to follow up...
Same. To me it's like he's calling it Mini Annapolis 😆
How is it supposed to be pronounced?
@@leeriches8841 like you're mispronouncing mini apples, minni-apple-less
Yeah the way he pronounces it is very hilarious!
Regarding the last case: there has been more than one instance of persons going missing in the woods remains being found years after the initial search less than a mile from the starting point of that initial search. It's amazingly easy to miss a body in the woods, especially heavily forested and remote areas where the underbrush obscures large amounts of the ground from view. It would not be surprising for the search teams to have missed something, and it's far more likely that's the case than a killer carrying her body 100km.
But also this was Hinton, so it was 100% a killer 😂
To be honestly, I did always view the job from the last case as appealing. The only fear with it is what you bring up about searches revealing the person being within a mile of the starting point.
her killer was just built different
Or that 411 thing.
The person could have dug a hole too nearby
I feel so bad for the families of missing people that fall victim to scammers. A true psychic - if such a person existed - would NOT flaunt their ability. They would not contact the family, they would contact the police directly and NOT ask for any payment .
I mean I wouldn't begrudge a real psychic who produced meaningful results payment for their services. You wouldn't expect a PI to look for their family member pro bono unless you had a close relationship with them. People deserve payments for their services.
But I do agree that there's something predatory and attention seeking in the way a lot of psychics attempt to insert themselves in the narrative of other people's tragedy.
No, they would predict lottery and gambling wins and never work a day in their lives lol
They wouldn't tell a goddamn soul a thing, lest they spend the rest of their days in a lab as a test subject.
Good point. I also feel like there’s another scam with the ads selling “Scottish titles”. In what reality does owning a square foot of land mean someone’s lording over anything. Might as well buy a star while we’re at it
That's actually true. Many REAL psychics and meduims usually do crime cases for free anytime, anywhere. They go to the police directly too. Sloan (a famous psychic on youtube said she was going to help the Madline case on TV but cut her out because they didn't like her answer + what the police wanted to hear too). The money psychics get is when people go them. Not them coming to you.
Just to let everyone know, established titles is a scam. It's a complicated thing but the government of scotland does not recognize their "titles".
There was a billboard that was cryptically vandalized, stating "Frank Stearns, Machine shed"; in 2011 one of the ex-police employees from that department had come out and said at the time, the police were covering up Jodi's disappearance. It's definitely possible Jodi was killed and buried in the machine shed of Frank Stearns.
I've always been intrigued by Jodie's case. With such technological advances in forensics, I'd think they'd have solved her cold case by now. My heart goes out to her family, and those who loved her. ❤️
Her case has been solved. Search it.
@@YourNightmare4u2c can you give me the name of your source? According to reliable reports, specifically Google, this case remains unsolved.
@@kirbykipling9515 sure.....Iowa State Police. I'm not sure where it's at on the page exactly, try "cold cases" and see if there's an "update " at the end.
@@kirbykipling9515 Quite obvious that the Cops did it though, at the time she was writing a story that would've exposed the Cops for being involved with Organized Crime, so uhh yeah, connect the dots there.
@@glamdolly30 Indeed, he's a person of interest, but hasn't been charged.
We live outside the Twin Cities. My husband and I just in unison snapped our heads towards the TV and exclaimed "WTF did he just say???" 😂 Your mispronunciation of Minneapolis just cracked us up and made our day!!
I'm south of the Twin Cities, and I couldn't help but laugh. That pronunciation makes it seem like Minneapolis is just a discount version of Indianapolis... MinneAN-apolis :)
English is not my first language so im curious XD how do you pronounce it actually?
@@vanjanikolic8479 overall his pronunciation was correct except for the fact that he added an extra letter, saying MinneaNpolis instead of Minneapolis. Just take that extra N out and you're good to go
Same lol
Mini-in-apple-iss. Lol I also had no idea he meant my home until I saw the skyline 😂
Last case, Hinton Alberta. Something you have to realize about the area, it's a huge trucker's pit stop. There is a steady stream of semi's, horse trailers, transient workers, etc.
Whoever killed Stephanie (and absolutely it was a human not an animal), could be from nearly anywhere.
Hinton has hidden dangers in it.
Someone likely didn't want Jody to report on a particular story and made her disappear
Every year there is a new conspiracy about what’ happened to Jodie. It’s sad
Her college John killed her. He has dementia now , so he should be asked about her whereabouts. He might accidentally tell them where she is
@@Hardestway that's how it goes with cold cases
@@glamdolly30 very interesting
@@howdareyouexist Heavily lacking in sources though.
I used to live in Mason City. Jodi's case always gets to me. I even did a report on it in high school. I remember when someone reported that her body was buried by the community college. There were backhoes and such around the area for a while, but nothing came up. Some people are sure she was buried under a former sheriff's shed. The sad truth is that we don't know, and there's never been enough evidence to point to any one person. I really hope things like your video help keep it in people's minds and someone will come forward with something they know. I'd really love to see this case solved.
it will be solved in the future.
About the Jodi case. Considering she was doing a huge undercover story on the meth pipeline in North Iowa and how close this was to the Dustin Lee Honken murders I’m sure as much as anyone there’s a connection but may never know (Honken was executed 2018)
Jodie, Jennifer Kesse, Asha Degree and Maura Murray are those cases that keep me up at night. How can people disappear like that
When Kyle first told me about a classmate disappearing and gave me a book to read I became obsessed with what happened to Jodi! It’s so scary how someone can just disappear like that with no clue. There are so many that do though. It’s heartbreaking.
Asha degree will always be in my head
@@owowhatsthis._.6943 so true. It makes me head spin wondering how these things happen and NO ONE knows anything at all….
always wondering about the Maura Murray case
Those bother you, but a man having his head cut off and displayed on a public bench doesn't?
The last one is a weird case. It's too bad that all of the cautionary measures weren't in place before she went missing. Why is it that changes are always made *after* the tragic circumstances take place? If there were, at the very least, security cams at the lookout then we would know what happened to this poor woman.
All safety regulations are written in blood.
@@kailoveskitties so sad yet it's the truth!
They probably didnt really Think it was nessecary to have Them bc nothing had happened
To ask the question is to answer it. Humans didn't start building fences until other people/animals started taking our food. A lot of times the tragic thing has to happen for us to realize that a security measure is necessary.
Because it's hard to tell the future and hindsight is 20/20. It's easy to say why didn't they do this after the fact
Adam' "Malicious punishment" charge. While it may be limited to corporal punishment generally, it is possible that they gave him that as part of a plea deal for a sex related offense in order to get him to plead guilty. It would not be put of the ordinary in the slightest.
Seconding. They let the guy who assaulted me plead down to just home invasion and assault when the initial charges were kidnapping, 1st degree SA, torture, and attempted murder. He went from a life sentence to 12-20 years and didn't have to register despite physical evidence. It's common and often a relative blessing that keeps victims from having to testify.
@@churchofchriswhy not testify and put them away forever
@@halogod0298 Spoken like someone who hasn't experienced major recent trauma!

I live in Alberta and had never heard of that lookout case. I'll have to look into it. I will say, it sounds like the lookout is right next to highway 16, AKA the highway of tears. That stretch of road (all the way out to the coast of British Columbia) is notorious for people (especially indigenous women) going missing and never being seen again. It's beautiful out there but also so eerie.
Yeeeep..the ' highway of tears' .
But everyone knows that almost ALL CASES of missing indigenous women are from their own reserves and /or family .
So calling it such is dumb.

Isn't that whole "lord/lady" land buying thing actually a scam?
Yeah, and I think they know they are about to be "found out" which is why they are trying to get in one last "hoorah" before the jig is up.

this is the first i've seen of anyone covering adam johnson's death. it happened fairly close to where I live and we were worried about a serial killer being on the loose. regardless of what he may have been like in life, it's still disturbing to not only kill someone but also dismember them and place their body parts in public areas.
that's what's so confusing to me about the amount of people in the comments implying that adam "had it coming". i get that child abuse is a touchy subject, but corporal punishment is not CSA, and how many children asked their parents about what was in those garbage bags?
@@ashknight6696 yeah idk, it sounds like the state of his remains (“perv” carved into his head) and the past child abuse allegations/charges???? are all people are going off of. And I understand why people would draw that conclusion, because unfortunately there’s a lot of sick people out there and vigilante justice has its appeal, but I don’t think it’s fair. It could’ve been a random killing with equally random actions taken with the remains. Or not. Unfortunately there’s not enough evidence either way to solve the case for now. I just hope his family gets better answers some day. His mother and a few others came into my work a few weeks after it happened and she asked me if I had heard about Adam Johnson’s death. I didn’t know the name tied to the remains before that moment and it was just a sad situation overall. They were buying wooden crosses, so I can only imagine what they were used for.
Besides that... why would anyone say he had it coming? Adam? And who did?

lazy, I’d love to see you do a video featuring the case of Kristin smart, a college student who went missing in the 90s and whose killer and his dad were just convicted. it’s really disturbing and convoluted :(
Criminal lawyer in Minneapolis, a malicious punishment charge doesn't typically include sexual abuse claims, those are usually charged under different statutes, but that doesn't rule out that SA was involved either

This channel gets a lot scarier when the crime takes place in your home state. Usually don't here about Minnesota in cases like these
I still can’t believe how Jodie’s neighbors heard her screaming for help but didn’t give a fuck enough to call to the cops like yeah it might be nothing but still it only takes like 5 mins to call someone and you might be saving someone’s life 🤦♀️🤦♀️
@@moimoiyoop Mason city is not a big city
Easy enough to say until you remember all those times you heard something weird and shrugged it off or did the usual "someone else will worry about it" stance. Everyone thinks they're different and that they would *definitely* call somebody but in almost every case, they're not different at all and do what everyone else does (which is ignore it).
@@ForeverLaxx still just the fact that they basically told the police “oh yeah I heard her screaming but I didn’t do anything “ just makes me face palm 🤦♂️

Established titles is a scam company that sends you a fancy piece of paper
Dude your channel blew up instantly and never went downhill. That's the most impressive thing I ever saw an UA-cam. And I'm here since 2008
For the Adam Johnson story , before watching the entire story at first I actually for a second thought it was the English football player who was sent to jail for being inappropriate with a little girl. The Perv on his head also made it seem more likely 😮 then when the footballer was mentioned it gave me a chuckle

I had a paper route back before and after she disappeared, and sometimes I would watch the news in the morning after finishing my route, and I lived in the viewing area of KIMT. I remember watching her as an anchor, and I remember when she disappeared.
As a former paper boy, you should really check out the "Faded Out" podcast, season 1 about Johnny Gosch. Even if you know about the case, the host goes WAYYYY more in depth than anyone else ever has on that case. I think you'd enjoy it, especially as a fan of Lazy's.
Established titles is a scam. You don't actually become a lord or lady. You can't visit and stay on your plot of land. You wouldn't be able to change your name to Lord or lady on your identification.
Case 1 reminds me a little of the case of Ilse-Maren Graalfs. Heard about it 10 or so years ago and it has stayed with me. It's been unsolved for 25 years and I wonder if we will ever see it resolved (even though they know the DNA profile of her killer). The case is unfortunately not very well known, not even in Germany. But it is so chilling. She was killed and the murderer kept her head and it has never been found. After discarding her body, he went back to her apartment and stayed and went multiple times. He also took some personal belongings of her with him. I really really hope one day this will get solved, it is far too chilling.
Justice for Adam Johnson
As someone who lives in Minnesota, its quite funny to hear someone pronounce Minn-EE-app-O-lis as Minion-apple-us.
Love your work, Lazy. Absolutely captivating.
Minnie and Apple Lys
It's quite a bizarre name for a city, is it a native American name?
@@biskitz86913 It's a mashup of a Dakota/Sioux word and the Greek "polis".
His pronunciation of Minneapolis kills me
Oh so it's supposed to be Minneapolis and not some weird Minneapolis - Annapolis Frankenstein city 😂😂😂
Feels weird hearing the name Adam Johnson again (the UK one i mean), the victim went to the same school I attended and in an ironic twist, I am also a Sunderland AFC fan myself, I remembered the day his name was erased from football, I even remembered a few mates of mine burning their SAFC shirts with his name on it, honestly, the US Adam is quite a canny resemblance to UK Adam... personally I think this is a one in a thousand chance this is a two and two equals not the right answer type of situations, but at the same time, like you said Lazy... stranger things have happended..., maybe US Adam did run into the wrong people... maybe something happened on the day or night he wasn't with us that caused the whole "P-E-R-V" thing... this might be one of most bizarre and random cases of the 21st century... who knows.
A Brit trying to pronounce "Minneapolis" is so adorable. I'm not roasting you, Lazy, it really is endearing.
Edit: I retract my comment. When I Googled the city, I typed in "Mineappolis". 🤣

I’ve seen many videos on Jodie’s case, firstly seeing it from you a while back, but I still find it very interesting and the way you and the script writers tell the story is amazing. Thank you for telling us these stories❤
That Uk Adam story is far-fetched and very very unlikely. I think everyone under estimates how often although it is uncommon. People just randomly kill people sometimes and then never do it again. Some of these monsters are power driven and get off on feeling like they are the ones with power. What would be more powerful to one of these people than killing and knowing they are the only ones that know.
Then why scrawl the words "perv" on the dude's head? I don't think it was the UK Adam explanation but I definitely don't think it was a random murder either
So you have two men, with the same name, very similar in physical features and both convicted of crimes involving minors to be far-fetched? The head had PERV carved into it too... why the fuck someone would bother carving something in the head and keeping it and chop the body up and scatter around the town if was just a random kill? That seems to be much more far-fetched than a vigilante mistaking a target
Yeah, a murderer who did all this creep did to the victim knew exactly who he was killing and why. Of course it's true that we don't know why. But here's one possibility: what if the PERV part was a false flag? What if the killer didn't actually regard him as a pervert, but just did that to give police a false lead to work on?
If he was previously into drugs and he was mentally unstable, he likely would have known someone that used drugs and was also mentally unstable. People high on meth can do some seriously fucked up shit and not even bat an eye.
@@sterkriger2572 yeah thats exactly what I think, cause its more likely it's coincidence then some crazy conspiracy theory.

Also Rest In Peace to those that passed away.
yes it is a scam
Love u so much LM I’ve binged probably every vid of yours twice now
Glad I came across your channel, finally someone I can watch at night and not get too creeped out
I do love myself a Lazy video before snoozing
Your voice is always calming 😌
Awesome video dude! The music, the atmosphere, you make the best scary videos!
Jodi Huisentruit reminds me of Jill Dando in a way. Similar careers, similar unsolved cases and similar circumstances in that they were both attacked outside their homes. The main difference is that Jill was murdered there and then whereas Jodi was abducted and never seen again.
I'm not saying that the two cases are connected, they obviously aren't, but listening to the Huisentruit case caught at memories in my head that triggered the comparison. Poor women. May they both rest in peace and may their killers face justice one day.
May the other murderers be caught and brought to justice one day, too. RIP to all the victims, may those who mourn be comforted.
Jodi Huisentruit is actually my dads cousin (my second cousin). My last name would have been Huisentruit if my dad wasn’t adopted. I’m from the Twin Cities MN but intend on moving to Iowa, closer to where she disappeared. My family has been desperate for clues, even my father, who like I said was adopted away from the Huisentruit family. We need Justice for Jodi.
27 min of distraction is just what i needed!
This is my favourite format split into 3 parts really easily digestable! ありがとう!
bro you’re uploads are the absolute best. thank you ❤
If you're not already questioning humanity, then you're a very optimistic person...or naive
An optimist is someone who has not yet heard the bad news.
Just what i needed for a sick day and a big snowstorm 😊
I literally just picked this video to play in the background while I was doing school work. My eyes popped out when the story took place so god damn close to where I live.We think disturbing stories like this usually happen in a faraway place from where we live, but disturbing stories are everywhere maybe there’s even one in the house you live right now. Now when I go to sleep I know that abductions, butchering, and other demented shit happened like a mile away from me.
Frozen head- as someone who worked with victims of abuse for over 7 years, I can tell you it's rare for a person to be convicted of the most appropriate charge for their crime. Often times if they are convicted, its plead down to something lesser. Based on my experience, I would put money on the fact that he more likely than not committed a more heinous crime than "malicious punishment of a child".
Established Titles is a total con
Im feeling so relieved reading this; I was thinking how I enlightened I must be in that I thoroughly failed to appreciate the appeal.
Sometimes every once in awhile maybe I am not wrong
Apparently Established Titles is a Scam.
It's crazy that no one saw Jodi being abducted. A news station seems like it would be a busy place.
Her case is Interesting.
I believe she was going to do a story someone didn't want anyone to hear.
She went missing at her apartment
You DO know she was abducted at her apartment......................not the tv station........................right?
She was abducted at her apartments parking lot. Not the TV station...
isnt established titles a known scam??
I thought so too but seeing more and more doing it which worries me
Ok, so I do not want to speak ill of the dead, this is only speculation. With the information from the case given, I feel he was given what is called a "Plead Down" you Plead guilty to lesser charges than the one actually committed. That being said again I am speculating, but would make sense if he did something more than corporal punishment, that in which a small town would know of and not forget easily. Again this is just a theory but even if you were to look up his record it would only say to what he was charged with not necessarily the original act which he was arrested for.
I love how Lazy says "And yet...". It sounds like he's saying no in Russian.
best channel I've recently discovered, greetings from New Zealand!
Your imagery is getting better and better man
When I was 6 I went to Prince George, British Columbia & I Ran into Who I think was Travis Vader, he Asked my Father for help with his Car & kept pushing Despite it being Night but Left after my Father gave him $20, Never thought I'd See him in a Lazy Masquerade Video
That is scary I'm glad yall are fine xx
The case of Jodi is haunting, you just know, she either suffered great,y and was terrifyied before she was either killed soon after her abduction …hoping she is not still hidden away in someone’s basement!
Interesting that you brought up the Hinton case! Here in AB! We rarely hear true crimes being brought up in our area, but there have been some awful murders around here, that should be looked at and brought up on these true crime channels.
Lazy making my day with a new upload !
I remember seeing her on billboards in Mason City. I don't go there anymore but it was posted everywhere. Always looking for her.. I thought I recognized her on your thumbnail. Thank you for covering.
Excellent video as always! Want to make a recomendation for a future video topic. Here in Brazil (my home country) there is a mistery that haunts us to this day and its known as the Lead Masks Case. You should definately check that out!
