It was a crisp and cool Memorial Day Weekend afternoon on this departure from LAX. We took the long way around from terminal 6 on the south side of the field to runway 24L on the north side. This lent me GREAT views of all but terminal 7 and 8. The early afternoon Asian push is in full force at the Tom Bradley International Terminal with tails from all over the world just outside my window. The stunning architecture of the recent addition to the airport is an added bonus. As we lined up at the threshold to the runway, an A380 can be seen on final approach, finally revealing itself to be British Airways as it floated over the piano keys. Not soon after, we were over the Pacific Ocean before turning north into blue skies on our way back to Seattle.
