I am a stitch pattern junkie. I love all of these stitch tutorials. I usually make a small swatch and label it for reference. This one is so simple and pretty!
Thank you for this awesome and easy stitch pattern and tutorial. Learning how to do a sc2tog at the end of the row to get a straight border was the best icing on the cake ever.
I'd like to say that you did a great job clarifying that you prefer to keep your private life private. It was presented to the viewers in a very kind way! I love your tutorials 😍
You are so easy to follow, Crystal! I appreciate the way you explain a stitch and show us each step multiple times. You are the first person I turn to when I have a question. God bless you and your work!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for all of the uses of the bud stitch and love the straight border. I’m glad there was an area where you didn’t catch the chain 1 so we can see how it slightly pulls the edge in. Your attention to details like that really make your crochet perfection! Thanks for showing us that as well- a true sign of a great teacher!!🥰
You really mean everything you tell us that you can do anything that you don't know I will teach you. That is so true and you are a great teacher. I love your stitch tutorials. Well I love yarn talk, I love all of it. Thank you so much Crystal
I am going to love this stitch! I know because it’s similar to I think it’s called the suzette stitch and I love that one and the tip for the straight edges is so wonderful of you to share with us. Much love
I think this is the Suzette stitch too.. only difference w/Suzette is if you start with an even chain, then sc in 2nd ch from hook; ch 1 and turn, sc and dc in 1st stitch, skip next, then sc, dc in next (which with the Suzette you always end the row with a sc, ch1 and turn and each sc, dc are always done in the sc from the row below. So this is like a reverse Suzette stitch bc she is doing the sc & dc into the DC from the row below... Which gives it a different look. Pretty cool.
Love watching your channel, easy stitches are my favorite. As a Stroke survivor, you make my life easier to follow along, when l'm relearning how to do things. Thank you so much 😊❤
Great easy stitch. Handed out gifts made using with your tutorials last night (Christmas Eve-2024) What a joy. I used this pattern with a number five weight yarn for a blanket and a number one weight for a scarf. Both lovely and loved. Another made with" lil tulip" is almost finished for my son. Merry Christmas Crystal and all you Bag-o-Day fans!
I've started a big blanket with this pattern and it's so fun to work up! Super easy. A little bit of a yarn eater, but it's beautiful, so it's worth it! Thank you ❤.
With all these lovely stitch tutorials you are demonstrating, you have stimulated creative ideas for projects I've never thought possible coming off my hook. I so appreciate your unselfish and sharing spirit. Thanks so much!
I LOVE your stitch tutorials!! I had to take about 10 years off from crocheting due to severe RA. A LOT of things have changed in a decade! I'm still working on getting my groove back and am loving the fact that I can go to your channel and watch tutorials until I find one that I want to do. A million thank this for all that you do!
I love all of your stitches tutorials there so beautiful, this one puts me in the mind of the thicket stitches the way that it's worked up. I love easy 1 row repeat they make beautiful products thanks for sharing I appreciate all of your hard work you do a wonderful job Crystal ❤🤗🥰

Really nice, clean looking stitch. Little trick with the double crochet two together at row end works great. I just have to overcome my "phobia" of having to stitch into a turning chain. Seems like even when I make the turning chain loosely and mark it I still have trouble getting back into it with my stitch. But it really does make the edge look a lot neater. Thanks!
Just last night I was looking at a pattern that I think was describing this stitch (for a scarf). But I couldn't figure out the edges and exactly where the two stitches went. Your way was better than the pattern, and much easier to understand. Thank you!
i'm watching youtube while i'm crocheting right now. i'm making a washcloth to use up a small ball of yarn i don't like before i can go buy more yarn, single crochet all the way, but i can never resist learning a fun new stitch (even when it's a hindrance to my productivity)
Perfect timing, Crystal. I was looking for a dense fabric stitch. I bought a Herrschners afghan kit (Sunflowers & Stripes) and CANNOT figure out the pattern. I'm going to use this stitch instead. ❤ THANK YOU!
Great tip about how to keep the edges straight. I know this stitch as the thicket stitch. So many names for the same stitch pattern. Is it any wonder I walk around confused most of the time 🙃 😆
Thank you for this nice to lo9k at, easy pattern. Some days, my brain just needs to rest, so this is perfect. I'm doing it is red heart blue ombre for my grandson. ❤
I love these stirtch tutorials you do Crystal they are so clear that a 6 year old can do them. Thank you so much.

This is a great stitch, I use it a lot. It's works fast and the result is a lovely texture that isn't stiff and very warm.
Pretty texture. Appreciate the ‘Yarn Eater’ scale. That’s very helpful when freeforming and using up leftovers. Thanks

That stitch is very similar to the long cardi I'm making my 8 yr old granddaughter. Just another double in the same stitch. Very nice stitch

Using this stitch, I learned from one of your other tutorials but you called it the thicket stitch... worked a little different ❤
Thank you Crystal! One out of 2 new stitches learned today!😊
Hi Crystal, I worked up a little washcloth to try this stitch and that really is a straight edge and such a pretty stitch. Thanks!
Great tip about how to keep the edges straight. I know this stitch as the thicket stitch. So many names for the same stitch pattern. Is it any wonder I walk around confused most of the time 🙃 😆
