This lady is so well read and intelligent. If only our men and women had such passion for history!!
There's so much loss of history and contribution of those days.
Once they epicentre of knowledge, spirituality and what not is now land of more mean, uneducated and cunning people you can see. Spirituality still thrives.
Great to see such a passionate lady.
I came here because of Eu4, Bahmanis are my absolute favourite tag to form a united Hindustan, Love to learn more about the actual history of the Bahmanis
Beautiful...🌺
Thanks for enlightening a lesser known history of ours. Helen Philon is truly learned and committed.
Such a wonderful presentation - I learned so much from it. It is a shame that these monuments are not given the care and attention they need.
They are cared well.
It's such an insightful discussion. I've known about Qutb Shahis but this video gave a decent picture of the history of medieval Deccan. Thanks a lot!

जय Vijaynagar Empire
Jay Maratha Empire
She missed the Crucial part about shift of Capital to DAULATABAD regarding Muhmmad Tugluq that it was a measure against Mongol invasion. The city which emptied was used as Garison town to deploy soldier..

dominating with Bahmanis right now, controlling spice trade in the Konkan and Malabar Coasts. Will move to expand my trade fleet and continue to control the Bengal trade node. Worried about the Situation unfolding up north with the Delhi Sultanate and Timurids, I will eventually form Deccan and control Coromandel node
Timurids will break most likely
Unfortunately we don't have even 1% enthusiasts to save Indian Heri
Who was ruling before the Bahamani? What happened to them? Where did they go? Why was Devagiri the focus of Aladdin’s attention? What was the significance of the place? Why did they name it Daulatabad?
Read history a bit. First Yadavas of Devagiri had control over this land. Later Allauddin Khilji sent his man Mali Kafur to take over Devagiri when the Yadavas didn't agree to give homage. Malik Kafur took control of Devagiri fort and made King bow down.
Then after Khilji the Tughlaqs came. Later Tughlaqs general wanted to rule Deccan for himself and he got seperated from Delhi sultanate. There born Bahamani kingdom.
WHO is Shivaji Maharaj teacher and why did the Sultan of Bijapur oppose Shivaji who was shahistakhan
Many don't know about rastrkutas ,rulers of native gulbarga region
Why they are glorifying bahamani sultanate who played major role in crushing vijayangar empire and Hindus of South.
@@laxendrachauhan8202 They are discussing the history. History is history. No Hindu no Muslim. Glorification is when they patronage of art, culture and literature. Glorification for engineering and good administration. Even Vijaynagarr battled Hindu kings such as Reddy kings at that time. Read history as history
Those who read history do know it. Kailasa temple is their contribution only
Great bahamani sultanate.
I’m part of the bahmani empire because I’m a bahman
I am Buddhist Part of Buddhist Maurya Dynasty 👍
I am you father
As Maratha
The great sultanat bahmani
These monuments show that once we lost in a battle and subjugated by foreigners
Anyone else here because of eu4?
I think the presenter should research a bit on the pronunciation of a place, bidar, is pronounced BEE-DAR, not BI-DUR!
loot even British did the same "'she will never discuss on British looted India for 2 century
She will if it's her expertise. Look how passionate and neutral she is. Don't see everyone with the same lens.
A foreign historian :/
Bahamanis were tolerant! What a joke 😂
Thats why hinduism exists in the area still
@@MSS-nt9ko One cannot deny they were tolerant. But don't you think just because they are tolerant Hindus are still here. A king can only rule but cannot change the demographic as if people get angry, they can topple him any time.
@@rhnkm there have been examples in history of kings of certain religion A having completely ethnically cleansed people of religion B who constituted majority of the population. For example buddhists and jains at some points in history constituted majority of population in southern india, but under Shaivite kings, they were persecuted and are now no longer around.
Similarly when Christians invaded Muslim spain, the region had a Muslim majority, but within 200-300 years after conquest they killed or expelled the muslim majority in Spain.
Bahmanis, Mughals etc could do that, but didn’t. They weren’t perfect, didn’t love hinduism, but didn’t erase it
🐶🐶👹💀👿👾👽👺😂😂😂
Look at the white lady expression , Islamic invaders plundered our land and see how happy expression with a big smile she has .
if they plundered your lands they would not build anything for this country.
@@finalfrontier001 they built mosques, madrasas and places for governance and conversion started
They also had local local elites as part of their administrative setup, enriched the local economy and created models that even thw Vijaynagar followed as far as attracting foreign talent is concerned.
Do you know that even today a section of lingayats celebrate the Urs of Ahamd Shah Wali.
Do you also think that Muslims were never killed by Vijaynahar empire in their military attacks
@@027_lakshaynegi6 Yes that is why Deccan has among the lowest rates of Muslim population in the whole of India.
They also created gardens, a successful globalist country and set a template that even later Vijanynagar kingdom followed.
Nobody have guts to tell Hindu genocide during Bahamani dynasty and how each village fought against Islamic barbarism.
Because no genocide occurred, do you you know that genocides are preceded by exclusion of people from structures of power
When brahmins, maratahs and other Hindu upper castes were part of the administrative setup how can you say a genocide occurred.
And if you think that only Hindus were attacked what about the attacks on Muslims by Viajyangar kingdom to go against Bahamani sultante.
Read history and you will see how different people have been victims and perpetrators at different parts of time
Nbody has the guts to tell about the genocide of 'lower castes' by upper caste Hindus over millenia..
