It's like a really extreme version of what we call diffin or diffing in Ireland where Toyota Altezzas, lexus is200s and Toyota Corolla twincams do donuts around a traffic cone, there is a big event every year called King Of the Cone we also call diffing as rings

Spinning is main steam in popularity not as a sport just as yet. I would even argue that the best spinners are still confined in the respective townships and haven't shown off their skills.

Small, light, RWD, and here in SA, there's tons of them around. So it's pretty easy and affordable to turn 1 into a spin car.
South Africa has a BMW factory so there was tonnes of these cars produced at the time of manufacture it was a popular car of choice so don't worry there is still plenty in South Africa unlike the rest of the world where it's become rare.

We've been doing this since the early 2000's. Internet wasn't available to showcase to the world., unlike the US that has a lot of influence on media. Trust me thus thing has been going on for decades. Search "Skidmarks South Africa" for more information because Americans and the rest of the world confuse this with their sideshows - which we do much better. We've been doing this s*** in America forever intersection takeovers and spining, Donuts.. Donuts around some idiots trying to take selfies end up getting hit and run over for her when she falls out and does get run over and dies or hurt or whatever you can't feel bad for a person that is literally asking for it😂🎉 s*** at least get one of them freaking things like a jet ski where if you fall off it cuts the engine😂 so yeah they took what we do and have been doing forever and they took it to the next level

Why not? Gymnastics and diving is a sport that relies on judges scoring a performance. And it’s kinda like that, but with a car. Outside the danger of it all, it does seem like something that needs skill
