I was actively groomed for many years by my adopted parents who raised me for the soul purpose of me giving him the biological baby he was so desperate for. He was a deacon in the church, drove the Sunday School bus every Sunday. Went to church three times a week and participated in every church activity with a happy heart. But behind closed doors he was a monster. Beat me on a regular basis, called me names, and she was no better. She knew what was going on. She was infertile and couldn't have kids. I got up at 5am every morning to clean, cook, do yardwork, school myself, and take care of their younger daughter whom they also adopted, but as a real child, not a servent with a viable womb.
I'm telling you right now, both Greg and his wife are guilty. I'm saying it with no misgiving. They are groomers. That's why he's so pissed. He lost control of his puppet and is tailspinning to get her back in line.
My adopted parents kept all of my childhood momentous that lived through foster care with me. I have nothing of my childhood... They kept it all and probably burned it. But even then I didn't go back. I hope to God she stands strong and keeps moving. No one believed me when I left. He was a good man with a good faith and a strong capable gentle wife. And I was an emotionally broken foster kid who should have been happy with what I was given.
I believe you Sarah. I believe that sometimes you liked the attention because it felt good and you didn't know you were being groomed. It's ok, love the happy memories, but let them suck you back in to think what was done was right.

@@applejuice7108 emdr and talk therapy have really helped to heal my broken parts. That is my first tip for people who want help. EMDR. It clears the neural pathways and takes the mind out of your fight or flight to allow you to look at things logically and clearly. Trauma stays with you if you don't deal with it. I never want another trauma victim to go through life with this suffering. This was one small part of the damage done to me through my years of growing up with child molesters, an abusive mother arrived to drugs and alcohol, and the foster care system.
If you're hurt get help! There's no shame in it.
And 25 minutes of EMDR is equivalent to 7 years of talk therapy. Five sessions... That's all I needed. You might need more, you might need less, but I will forever be grateful for the help it provided in my journey to recovery.
I'm so very sorry you had to go through that. I know that nothing I can say will ever heal what you've gone through, but I truly wish the best for you. Keep your head up. I'm glad you are getting help, that's the first step towards recovery. Best wishes.

I have friends who are teenagers (like, daughters of my older friends, or sisters of my fellow late-20th friends), and I just mostly feel protective of them, because, like, they are the young ones who could use a listening ear, guidance and protection, I can't spill my own stuff on them uncensored, which makes it impossible for me to be "best friends" with them, duh!

Kai is crying because Onion can't produce tears, and Kai is trapped in a shitstorm by being associated and compliant with Greg.
I think you missed the part on WHY he was mean to her. Just look at the language that he used to describe that situation. He says he was mean to make her dislike him so that living together would be comfortable for him.
Meaning, he was attracted to her while she was underage and cannot control himself around her. So the only way, in his mind, to live with a child he is attracted to and to stop himself from having sex with her is to be mean so that she avoids him as much as possible.
Think about that. Really think about that. He is in his 30's. And he is so attracted to underage teens that he can't even be civil because she might sit next to him or spend time with him much like a child would with a distant adult relative.
I'm not exaggerating when I say that he is a sexual predator that is high risk. That lack of restraint only tells me that he has the potential to rape.

Not only that, but it's well documented that being unpredictable when interacting with a younger, more impressionable person you have a level of power over can make them form more of a psychological dependence or bond with you. Sarah explained in her interview with Chris Hansen that talking to Greg was very confusing; that he would be mean to her one moment and say something nice the next. I almost don't want to give Greg credit and say he knew what he was doing, but if what Sarah said is true, it could have easily had the opposite effect that he claimed he wanted.
Also, at this time, he would give her small touches, but not push boundaries. This, in my mind, was his way of normalising contact with her. I do not doubt that he absolutely knew what he was doing with that.
The worst part is onion has CHILDREN. Can we set social services on him pLEASE

He’s pretending. In Sarah’s interview, she says that onion boy threatened her and kicked her out already before for bringing up anything creepy he said to her. Saying that if she said anything it would “ruin his reputation”. So he knows what he’s done wrong.

It could be a bit of both, depending on the different events/actions. The dude is a creep and a monster with a seriously fucked up moral/ethical framework, but it is also highly likely he has some sort of problem (my guess would be a personality disorder). It's not of the sort/significance that removes culpability or justifies his fucked up history, but it does help make sense of it all when looking at it as an impartial 3rd party.
