I just bought this game last week on eshop and I am addicted to it. This game may look weird at first glance, but this tactical RPG really makes you think about what combos would work best for the situation you find yourself in. The music is outstanding and the graphics just pop out to me.
What does Federation Force have to do with anything? As a spin-off, its supposed to be different. Now, if we're talking about something like Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival... Eh. You're getting two Metroid titles. Don't worry, buddy.

My personal MVP for this game was Rabbid Luigi. Apparently not many people use him because seriously, I love this guy. For one, his design is just really funny, but that can be said for all the characters. Definitely the best thing he has is his Vamp Dash. It does tons of damage and has the Vampire effect which means, used properly, (at least at the end of the game when your skill tree is fully leveled up) Rabbid Luigi can never die. Plus, teammates can make use of this effect and heal themselves while they're at it. This, combined with his admittedly pretty weak but (endgame) 100% crit chance weapon makes him by far my favourite character in this game, battle wise. Gosh this game is good.
"By no means does it require intense planning and strategy" have you done the ultimate challenges or DLC challenges? Some took me forever to figure out or just forever cause Id be so deep into it and die last second due to a poor movement choice🤔🤔
This game actually 10/10! I never really play a video game with some of my favorite things: Mario, favorite video game. Rabbits: Loved the show. Not the games. I loved both until now. This game really changed my view as the character designs are absolutely perfect. I loved the different worlds and the STUPID OVERCHALLEGNING LEVELS LIKE DEFEAT 10 RABBIDS WITHOUT DYING! TOOK 1 HOUR TODAY! I love the background things that are random. I love the combat style. The intros for friends and foes are awesome. The story is 10/10 too. The game really is my favorite and I bet even mario odyssey won't beat it. I loved all the mario RPG's espically paper jam but this one really changed my thought. I hate how they snipe randomly as I had to bring toad to the end as it took 1 hour. 3 squares away from the safe point and was sniped. Boom. Dead. That's how I end the whole review by me. Me rating: 100/10. Never forgetting rating.

My favorite part is when you fight Bosses that work in pairs, like Blizzy and Sandy in Sherbert Desert, and Bwahrio and Bwahluigi in the Lava pits along with the Lava Queen But seriously, my favorite one has to be the Icicle Golem, he's gotta Ice Cube Arm Cannon!
And then we later got a fantastic competitive multiplayer mode in a free update. It's honestly one of my favorite multiplayer games to play on the switch for 2-players.

I'm late but the reason you need 1 rabbid at all times, is that in the main game, the 'real' characters can be op together. Luigi's weakness is his health, but has amazing range and power, and can buff his speed and others speed. Peach has the most health in the game and can't to anything in long range, but can heal every turn, and has amazing defence capabilities. sprinkle in Mario, and if you rush out together, nothing can stop you.

I know alot of people lean towards Super Mario Odyssey; Zelda: Breath of the Wild & Persona 5 as 2017's GotY and that's totally understandable. I was considering buying this game but I got it immediately after it went on sale for 30$ Canadian including all the dlc and one of those big figurine things. I have no idea why it’s so cheap but it’s really fun.
Some things that separate this from FE is the fact that you have upgrades with hard to come by coins over level ups, you have 3 characters rather than an army of 14 destroying everything, and it involves a lot more skill use and moving around than just putting a unit 2 spaces ahead.
I never saw the appeal of Rabbids, but I love tactical RPG and Mario, so I decided to give it a chance. Now I'm ultra hyped for the announced sequel...
