They say this game isn't Canon because Death appears and Dracula has a 3rd form... I like to think that this is a proper remake for The Adventure, and that Belmont's Revenge is the direct continuation...
@@ViktorGerts personality of Belmont comes with their theme. If they do not have a theme, they have no Personality. Simon personality comes with two songs: Vampire Killer and Simons theme from Super Castlevania 4. Trevor has Beginning. And Christopher had Battle of Holy, a song, that served as his theme. But when you delete this theme, you destroy a sort of Personality that Character had. In short, you don't need long Dialogues, or story to give character a Personality Sometimes you just need a theme)
If you're really familiar with classic Castlevania storyline and even more if you connect it to real-life history, the Lords of Shadow storyline will make no sense. But if you're new, it won't seem crazy.
I guess due to how many parts of the timeline there were that could be used, getting more and more slim with each game, they figured they'd split the timeline and have Lords of Shadow go do its own thing.
@Tonytambe Console Castlevania games seem to be more experimental, while the handheld games follow Symphony of the Night's style of gameplay... Which is a shame, I would have liked to see more games like Super Castlevania IV and such.
At first i was weirded out by the game play and story but its actually a re-boot to the series and with time i grew to like it and enjoy it as the re-boot it is. I recommend you give it a try and see if you like it for yourself, its actually pretty cool.
I'm WAY too late, but... It rips off God of War's combat, Metal Gear Solid's pacing, The Legend of Zelda's myth building and a boss fight from Shadow of the Colossus. It has dick all to do with Castlevania. The Lords of Shadow series is hot garbage. And ironically, Mercury Steam would go on to make Metroid; Samus Returns, which was great, so...what do I know?
Succubus: DIE!!!
Succubus: let's dance
"As ever...the ally of *worthless* humans!" Oh yeah? How bout you come over here and I should you how "worthless" I am?!
Castlevania is a badass series!
Ikr??
Giant Bat: SQUEAK SQUEAK SQUEAK, SQUEEEEEAAAAAK!!!!! (INTRUDER, NOW YOU DIIIIIEEEEE!!!!!)

Castlevania III had 3 dracula forms
That's what I like to think, this game being the canon version of Adventure 1
@@MexicanSheepMan so basically in cannon version, this Belmont has no Personality?
@@AlinaAniretake He never had one to begin with.

Pretty intense for a mid-boss theme tbh
Vampire-killers and vampire-killer accesories ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Dance with the cute succubus...
"LET'S DANCE!!"
Aka Ca(r)milla, since that's where her voice clips are from.

@Tonytambe I hear it's like God of War, and has almost nothing to do with the other Castlevania games... is that true?
Rubberman202 : Believe me, Lords of Shadow is no Castlevania. It's just another game.

It's available for Xbox 360, right? Maybe I will sometime...
It's on Wii ware
Its only on WiiWare, unfortunately, you can't get the game anymore.
@@jasonmartinez5116 I got it by modding my wii and installing the WAD for this game.
