Honestly, thank you so much for making a video about your experience, I just got my upper molar (one of the biggest tooth a person has) taken out, it feels so hollow, and tbh I feel bummed out about it, but it's really comforting to see others have gone towards the same as well. So again, thank you!
Im having this done on monday. Im never scared of dentists or doctors, but i can't help but freak out about this. I mean, four of my teeth just... gone! For the first time in my life, i dont feel brave and, let me tell you, it takes a toll on your pride even if you're the only one who knows that you're freaking out. Edit: okay- it hurt like crazy but the gel capsule Ibuprofen from Walgreens worked like a charm. It hurt for the first two days(I was using meds around the clock), and on the third day, I only needed one in the morning. I had all four removed at the same time( I highly recommend if you have to get more than two at a time). It took about 1 hour and 30 minutes total, and they stitched me up, I ate yogurt, apple sauce, and ice cream for the first 3 days, and then I ate normal foods VERY carefully. They stitched me up, so I didn't really have to worry about dry socket, but I was still very careful(mainly because I actually had no idea that they had stitched me up in the first place). Overall, 10/10 would do again... just kidding!
Thank you for this! I just got my 4 premolars and had the same situation as you with my braces! My first orthodontist made it so my teeth flared out instead of pulling the teeth! So happy to have found this video made me feel so much better about this whole process. My next orthodontist appointment is Nov 25. Thanks again :)

I’ve been searching for a video like this and I’m glad I came across yours .. your gums healed pretty quick, mine haven’t and I think it’s because I’m not doing the salt water rinse. I got mine pulled 4 days ago and they still have blood clots but my paper says to not rinse with salt water until one week after at the moment I’m only brushing and rinsing with a mouth wash they gave me which is called chlorhexidine gluconate
Thanks for watching! Did you get your premolars or molars taken out? I remember I had to do use the clorhexidine gluconate when i got my wisdom teeth surgically removed from my gums. Doing salt rinses definitely helps heal the gums much faster. I would say just follow your doctors orders and just try to do your salt rinses as often as you can every day^_^
I’m on day ten post extractions, I’ve been too scared to look at the holes in case they’re like huge craters but this has made me less nervous to look, thank you. Can’t wait to eat normal food. That’s what I’m doing and it’s nice to listen to my body and to take things at my own pace

I hope you receive this message in time and take some time reading my experience. I was supposed to get 4 premolar extracted today, instead I only got 2. The right lower and upper. They gave me 10 cartridges of local anesthesia which is more than necessary and keep in mind this is only one side of my teeth. It was so painful and stressfulI, the dentist didn’t want to give me more anesthesia after the already overwhelming amount. As she started, I couldn’t feel her pry my gums but as she clamped and pulled my teeth left and right was when the pain subtly make itself known. The thing is I have 3 roots that are longer, and thinner than normal. First 15 sways left and right didn’t feel that bad but that was no where near enough to pull my teeth. I’m not joking when I say this, It took maybe 100 sways left and right to pull out one tooth. It was a grueling experience, I felt very lightheaded from the pain, and pressure. Once the dentist knew it wouldn’t go out easily, I felt her frustration as she gripped harder with her metal pliers. She grabbed the tooth from a higher position, I felt it on a portion of my gums as she continuously squeezed and yanked left and right. Imagine the sharp roots ripping and poking the sensitive nerves and tissue inside that socket. In my head as I watched them fumble with my mouth how much they don’t care whether the tooth come out in one piece or not. There is no technique with the pliers I thought, something so simple but oh so painful, If only they knew what I was feeling in the heat of that moment. In the end they recommended me to a specialist because they are nervous of pulling the last 2 pre-molars. I could tell something was off with them as the general dentist spoke she stuttered and uttered her sentences. Perhaps she ruptured more tissue than good I thought or maybe she should’ve done a thorough inspection of x-ray before pulling my teeth. Now I’m laying in bed as I write this. Why do we have to put ourselves through this unnecessary drama and trauma to look a certain way. I think if I told my ortho I won’t do business with them if they want my pre-molars pulled they would’ve agreed. All in all dentists, ortho are business people who want money. Don’t be fooled by “We just want best for you” They recommend you to other known oral practitioners who don’t give a damn just as much as they for reputation or to close a relationship. I want to share this message as a chance to give others I wish someone gave me to doubt and rethink your decision before the day come. This really helped me. I’m getting my 4 premolars extracted tomorrow, and I’m just getting the injections, I hope it all goes smoothly and it’s just pressure. Thank you for this!
Got teeth extraction exactly a week ago. I'm starting to panic as I noticed that my teeth near the holes (from the extraction) are super wiggly. They hurt a bit, too. Especially after I brushed my teeth. And also, the holes hurt whenever I clean them. (Gargling water to remove food particles stuck in them.)
I had the same problem with the other teeth being wiggly. Dont wiggle them. If you wiggle them, you will risk it from potentially coming out. I would suggest you to ask your dentist about that pain. Hope it gets better soon!
Mine also 4 extraction recommend Today I was nervous and sweating so doc made me calm and explain me procedure and then she said don't worry I removed only one tooth 🦷 and rest on other appointment which is on 25/02/2022 Four hour passed no pain Eat ice-cream 😀😀

Meanwhile in the UK it takes 45 minutes after years of being in pain waiting for an appointment and then you get Dry Socket because UK dentistry is an absolute s*** show. Absolutely insane you can have 4 out in 1 go. Your teeth mustn't be super helf in there? Your clots look amazing, so lucky. Nothing clots with me
I got 8 teeth extracted while under general anaesthesia. Woke up and obviously the mouth region was numb ; what I didn't know was that my lower left lip would be permanently numb . These things happen :( The sensation is slowly coming back after like 2 years lol
@@SaisaiDemigodess most of the gum was sealed properly with stitches except the lower back 😂😂 so like 3 or so months after the operation I felt this weird thing at the back; turned out it was left over teeth fragments. When I looked carefully there were huge holes left that the Molars were covering. Sorry for such a long story
Thank you so much I’m actually getting the same exact thing tomorrow I was really nervous so you help me a lot and I’m not so nervous thank you so much!
I got my upper premolars taken out like 2 days ago, thank you for this video it cleared up a lot of things :')) also did anyone find their surrounding teeth next to the extraction site to be more sensitive?
It is so funny how you are talking, but now I know why my brother was laughing at me because I've just had a full mouth extraction and that was 22 teeth, I didn't know that they could put that much gauze in my mouth, now I know why I was always called a Big Mouth, I'm trying to learn to speak without any teeth, I'm going to wait until my gums are healed completely and then get dentures, God Bless You and I pray that you will heal fast.
Omg my ortho said the treatment time is 18 months (with 4 extractions as well), it's a treatment with laser, and she didnt put anything on my molars before the extractions. I saw your video where your ortho told you why it needed to be 24 months and now I'm scared!
Salt rinses help heal the gums faster. Other than that, it could be that my gums heal at a faster rate. Everyones healing rate is different. Don't worry!
I just got my brackets on and no wire currently. I also need to get 4 pre molars extractions. I’m not scared cuz I had mi wisdom teeth extractions with the numbing and my doc gave me extra numbing to not feel uncomfortable so I trust him with the process of my pre molar extractions 😃
I have had my four premolars extracted for close to a year now, I got them removed because of getting braces. The hole is so much smaller now, hopefully soon enough it will be fully closed
Your gum healing proces is much much faster.... wow.... i got dry socket 😭 last month, and yesterday, got another 2 extraction, will try ur tips... and can u share , what vitamin, or medicine that u use to keep healing faster... thanks 💕
Sorry i just saw your comment! Omg im so sorry you had to go through that. I heard its veryyyyy painful... be sure to follow everything in the care instructions. I hope for a speedy non painful recovery! I dont take any meds or vitamin. Salt rinses twice a day for optimal recovery is the most you can do.
You probably didnt change the gauze early enough that it got really soaked and was no longer able to soak any more blood. Most importantly, maintain that firm pressure on the gauze to stop the bleeding.
I just found your video and its really helpful because I have been overthinking about how the gum site will looks like in the healing process..I'm currently have pull out 4 teeth and will be put on braces next week...but I want to ask how long does the gum will heal without looks like holes anymore? 😂😭 Does the gum hole become narrower as it heal?
If you check out my first braces update, you can see how much the gums healed. the gum holes do get narrower and i felt that the distance between the gap got a bit shorter.
How was getting food stuck in the gums? I am getting so paranoid. I don’t want to accidentally have my gums grow over the food. I just had my 4 premolars and 4 wisdom teeth removed.
when that happened, i just gently rinsed with water using my tongue to move around the water in my mouth. With wisdom teeth sockets, you should have gotten a syringe to use push the food out with water (using it 3 days after the extraction). If u didn't, i would suggest that you ask for one.
I’m getting two extractions tomorrow and I’m super nervous about the pain. Do u have any tips or any insight on what to expect with the needles or in general
I got extractions about 11 days ago and my extractions site still looks like big hole with red bright clot. I see your site is getting narrower day by day and mine hasn’t changed since day 3 or 4 .This is making me anxious 😭 FYI i am also doing salt water rinses everyday but i am still not able to eat normal food bc i am paranoid that ima mess up my hole
Everyones healing time is different. Some may be slower and others may be faster. There is no need to be worried unless you continue to feel pain. You can continue to eat the soft foods. However, make sure you are getting your nutrients:)
I had the same extraction yesterday but my doctor only took out two so it would be easier for me to eat still need to pull out my teeth on the right side but didn’t hurt at all just felt a lot a pressure
Hi :) I was wondering how did you brush your teeth after like 2-3 days? I've been brushing it with toothpaste but I'm not sure if i should rinse it off with water or just leave it?
Stacy Querequincia i brushed normally but we still careful when brushing around the extraction site. You should definitely rinse the toothpaste out. Leaving it in your mouth is no good as you are not supposed to swallow it.
I feel like i dont want to wear braces bcz im too scared for the extraction,, but i want a perfect smile😭 Edit: hi guyss thank u for ur informative responses,, i am now already 6 months in my braces journey,, u guys were righttt, its not as bad as it seems😃
The extraction isnt that bad as it seems. Braces is more painful as every time they tighten it, all of ur teeth become so sensitive that you cannot eat any hard foods cause it will hurt so bad.
Just think, it’s something hundreds of thousands of people go through every day, it seems scary, I have a huge phobia of the dentist but so far I’ve had two teeth removed. The worst thing is the diet to be honest
What should i do when food gets stuck in there? I have done rinsing with saltwater(just tilting head left and right) and brushing(not over the extraction site)
i get my premolars extracted tomorrow and im SO nervous;(( i was just wondering if the actual extraction process is painful? im getting teeth extracted due to my overbite and im also very nervous to my mouth getting smaller or my face structure changing:( basically what im trying to say is do you regret getting extractions or or do you think they were worth it? im sorry if i asked so many questions im so nervous and curious :(
i am so sorry i just saw your comment. Hope everything went well! I do NOT regret getting extractions. I'm glad i chose to do braces again cause i did not like my smile nor liked showing my teeth. But now, since my teeth aren't sticking out and look normal, I love smiling with my teeth showing. If you hate your the way your teeth looks, get it fixed.
Wow!😮 You healed so fast! Within a week, the holes were almost healed. Very impressive speed. I'm on my third week, and I still have a hole right there😢
hi when do u start to brush ur teeth with toothpaste? and how long did u have to wait til u gargle with saltwater? oh and how long do i have to change the gauze? i just extracted 2 teeth yesterday and im going to extract another 2 next week! i just want to do the aftercare properly so that i can heal ASAP. :-(
I was able to brush with toothpaste the day of. You should have gotten directions from your dentist regarding to those matters. Follow what your dentist says.
Dude i just had my 2 left side wisdom teeth removed. All i want is for me to eat good food again and go to the gym, the pain was a sharp pain once the local anesthesia ran out. Almost at the end of day 1, hopefully it gets better from here. Your video made me aware of the process, thanks!
I’m also getting this procedure and I got braces on my front and wires done excpwt on my premolars but I didn’t know it would still hurt on my front. Is there any tips on how to make braces stop hirting
I have a high pain tolerance so I usually just endure the pain haha. Taking some pain medication could help and stick to soft foods in the meantime (pasta, rice, soups, soft bread, etc) until the pain is more tolerable to eat other foods.
FYI: My healing time might differ from yours as everyone have different healing time. Therefore, do not be alarmed if it is taking longer to heal. If you have any issues or is experiencing a lot of pain during your healing period (even after 2-3days post extraction), contact your dentist asap. Good luck to everyone getting extractions and i hope for a speedy recovery! You can check out my braces updates to see how my gaps close as well as what happened at each orthodontist appointment~

Thank you so so much you have no idea how much this means to me I have to go through this in a few months and I have a terrible terrible fear of needles so I love watching things like this to be prepared
Glad I could help~ Best of luck on your braces journey
i am so scared to get my teeth removed but this helped a lot. i didn’t expect the holes to close the quickly. i’ll definitely still be quite nervous but thank you for this video
You’re welcome! Good luck!
I think what you should worry about more is getting an infection or dry socket. The procedure is not that bad
Thank you so much for this! My ten-year-old is having hers extracted tomorrow, and this video helped ease her fears.
You are so welcome!
I also have to get 4 extractions soon for braces. Thank you so much for this video! It has put me much at ease! 💜
You’re welcome! Good luck!
I regret my extractions :/
@@chantelh532 whatt?! Why? Have your gaps not closed? Its been 2 years since my extractions and 2 of my upper gaps are not closing and even the doctor isn't sure why... However, my teeth still look WAY better than what they did before
@@chantelh532 Why do you regret them? I get 2 teeth extracted tomorrow for braces
Im getting 4 teeth extractions soon, and I am scared outta my mind. This video made me feel calmer
I got mine extracted for the braces.
I’m getting 4 extracted as well tm at 8:00 am and I’m nervous cause of the pain, hopefully I don’t feel pain 😬 ;(((
Hope it goes well! make sure to eat before if you are doing just local anesthesia cause you wont be able to eat for like a few hours or so(Bc of the bleeding)
We have the same face shape and (4) premolars extraction and I would be happy if my face becomes slimmer and less bloated.
I hope so too! Dieting and staying hydrated with water can maybe help.
Please tell me tha result now
That’s some fast healing. Wow
I am getting 4 teeth extracted in 2 weeks as well, the same ones as you. I’m a but because but this helped, I’ll comment again after the extractions.
I just got them extracted. I didn’t hurt ,but I’m starting to feel a little pain right now ,but it’s nothing I can’t handle.
watching this video because i'm getting extraction on my lower 2 premolars today. And I'm so nervous right now. *sigh
Nadia Rose Gabito Dont worry too much! It wont be so bad. Good luck & I hope your healing process goes as fast as mine!
I know this was posted ages ago but how long did you take to fully heal ? And when did you start eating normally again ?
how was it cause i am soon
May I ask how long it takes to heal? I'm thinking to ask 4days MC
This really helped me. I’m getting my 4 premolars extracted tomorrow, and I’m just getting the injections, I hope it all goes smoothly and it’s just pressure. Thank you for this!
I’m getting my extractions in march and I really don’t want to loose my teeth and I feel like I’ll end up with a flat face
@@zxth getting mine in march too cant wait are you wearing braces too ?

And finally found someone like me
Literally thankgod😅
Got teeth extraction exactly a week ago. I'm starting to panic as I noticed that my teeth near the holes (from the extraction) are super wiggly. They hurt a bit, too. Especially after I brushed my teeth. And also, the holes hurt whenever I clean them. (Gargling water to remove food particles stuck in them.)
I had the same problem with the other teeth being wiggly. Dont wiggle them. If you wiggle them, you will risk it from potentially coming out. I would suggest you to ask your dentist about that pain. Hope it gets better soon!
@@SoomiYa how did it turn out? Did they stop wiggling? How long did that take?
Mine also 4 extraction recommend
Today I was nervous and sweating so doc made me calm and explain me procedure and then she said don't worry I removed only one tooth 🦷 and rest on other appointment which is on 25/02/2022
Four hour passed no pain
Eat ice-cream 😀😀
Did you like the long term effects?
Ty so much for this video! I finally found someone who had the same extractions I had❤ I got the same 4 extractions that you also had and This is my day 5 but I do feel pain in my bottom left area since day 2 😢 but for me they sadly didn’t prescribe me anything for the pain.
Im sorry to hear that. You can choose to take over the counter painkillers if you are feeling too much discomfort. Hope you recover quickly!
I get braces tomorrow after a week of extractions I’m so scared cause the holes aren’t closed
Nothing clots with me
And thank you so much for showing the close-ups, It's really helpful! 🙏
No problem 😊
Is there anyone here that got their second premolars extracted?
I got 8 teeth extracted while under general anaesthesia. Woke up and obviously the mouth region was numb ; what I didn't know was that my lower left lip would be permanently numb . These things happen :( The sensation is slowly coming back after like 2 years lol
I had 8 removed but no anesthesia. Just General numbing injections. How was the healing? Where you scared of food getting stuck in your gums?
I'm sorry that happened to you!
@@SaisaiDemigodess healing took about 1 month for me and I was in SO much pain because a week after the op I went to get braces put in😂
Thank you so much I’m actually getting the same exact thing tomorrow I was really nervous so you help me a lot and I’m not so nervous thank you so much!
I got my upper premolars taken out like 2 days ago, thank you for this video it cleared up a lot of things :')) also did anyone find their surrounding teeth next to the extraction site to be more sensitive?
Definitely me rn, i hate it
a lot of people said that their face looks different so did your face structural changed after a few month or a year?
Yup my face did change. You can see from my braces updates:)
I kinda have the same procedure but i all 4 of my canines pulled in a week a little nervous but you’ve made it less stressful
I just got my premolars out today. I watched your vid before and now i'm re-watching it today haha
i had 4 premolars pulled aswell no pain at all
It is so funny how you are talking, but now I know why my brother was laughing at me because I've just had a full mouth extraction and that was 22 teeth, I didn't know that they could put that much gauze in my mouth, now I know why I was always called a Big Mouth, I'm trying to learn to speak without any teeth, I'm going to wait until my gums are healed completely and then get dentures,
God Bless You and I pray that you will heal fast.
Omg my ortho said the treatment time is 18 months (with 4 extractions as well), it's a treatment with laser, and she didnt put anything on my molars before the extractions. I saw your video where your ortho told you why it needed to be 24 months and now I'm scared!
I would look into other orthodontists
How did yours heal so fast? I’m on my fourth day and my extractions look like they’re on their first 😭
Salt rinses help heal the gums faster. Other than that, it could be that my gums heal at a faster rate. Everyones healing rate is different. Don't worry!
I had my bottom right premolar extracted due to decay, I'm scared of facial collapse because I can't afford implant.
Do i have to be worried?
Omg thank you for sharing this. May you have a fast recovery! Take care
Got two extractions yesterday, getting the other two next week
Got my braces yesterday
Your case same as mine, 4 premolars need to be removed. Just extracted 1 right lower premolar and it’s so so painful ! Im still in pain now .
So nice to see this video. Im getting worried coz my gum hole is not yet close after 1 week of tooth extraction.
The hole will probably wont close till later! Mine didnt close fully till way later! Tell your dentist if it’s a concern.
I will s7bscribe. Wow cant imagine 4 at time once ouch
i just got mine yesterday! thank you for sharing
Hi How’s it going recently? I had the same extractions as you…
@@kathiamichelle6932 everything well. I’ve had braces for 3 months now but gaps not closed yet

Salt rinses twice a day for optimal recovery is the most you can do.
so does it hurt when they put the injections ? and did they really put 8??! if they did why.?
It does sting for sure. I dont remember how many injections were placed.
When they did mine, they numbed the area with gel before injecting, but i still passed out on the last tooth lol
I got a premolar extracted and I'm still nervous about it 2 and a half weeks later. :P
Does the face shape changes in a good way or not? + Any negative affects after extractions?
yes my face shape has changed in a good way. I personally did not experience negative affects.
I'm gonna have 2 lower premolar extractions three weeks later... I'm scared and exited too
I just got mine extracted yesterday and I had blood dripping out of my mouth with the gauze.
You probably didnt change the gauze early enough that it got really soaked and was no longer able to soak any more blood. Most importantly, maintain that firm pressure on the gauze to stop the bleeding.
My extraction is next month. Thank you for your videos!
Good luck and thank you!
Did like the long term effects
I just found your video and its really helpful because I have been overthinking about how the gum site will looks like in the healing process..I'm currently have pull out 4 teeth and will be put on braces next week...but I want to ask how long does the gum will heal without looks like holes anymore? 😂😭 Does the gum hole become narrower as it heal?
If you check out my first braces update, you can see how much the gums healed. the gum holes do get narrower and i felt that the distance between the gap got a bit shorter.
thankyou for the video i'm getting this done for my braces thursday. this made me feel better
Glad I could help! Wishing you the best of luck~
i get those same exact four teeth pulled in like an hour/2 hours
Omgggggg finally found someone like me I have to remove 4 premolar for braces tooo. Love you so much
How was getting food stuck in the gums? I am getting so paranoid. I don’t want to accidentally have my gums grow over the food. I just had my 4 premolars and 4 wisdom teeth removed.
when that happened, i just gently rinsed with water using my tongue to move around the water in my mouth. With wisdom teeth sockets, you should have gotten a syringe to use push the food out with water (using it 3 days after the extraction). If u didn't, i would suggest that you ask for one.
@@SoomiYa oh thx. Could I ask one more question? How long did it take before you could start eating normally?
I’m getting two extractions tomorrow and I’m super nervous about the pain. Do u have any tips or any insight on what to expect with the needles or in general
soccergod 2003 it just feels like a very tight pinch. I would say just close your eyes and making a fist helps. Good luck!
SoomiYa 수미야 thank u so much
I just had mine on 2 days ago and got 4 extractions.. omg im dying right now!!
I am getting the same thing done tomorrow and I am pretty scared. I had my wisdom teeth removed but I was put to sleep so it wasn't scary
ayy u r underrated
How can you even speak 😭😭i couldn't speak cause my lips were do numb
Krystal Keo i just spoke even tho i cant feel my lips lol
Got this done today didn’t hurt
I had the same extraction yesterday but my doctor only took out two so it would be easier for me to eat still need to pull out my teeth on the right side but didn’t hurt at all just felt a lot a pressure
omg i’m getting this extraction and i’m so so scared
Don’t worry!
I'm about to do this next week!
I feel like i dont want to wear braces bcz im too scared for the extraction,, but i want a perfect smile😭
Edit: hi guyss thank u for ur informative responses,, i am now already 6 months in my braces journey,, u guys were righttt, its not as bad as it seems😃
The first day of the extraction is the one that sucks. The first 2-3 days of braces are the ones that suck more.
@@aukoe_ i found the first two days of braces sucked the most, day three was fine for me
🙄😁😁😁
I got these exact same extraction
I'm currently facing this and it's traumatizing
I’m sorry to hear that:( Hope you feel better soon!
Thank you for your video it was very helpful! Most useful video for this. Did you ever brush over the holes? Did you ever get food stuck in holes?
After a week i brushed normally. I don’t recall any food getting stuck in the holes.
Hi soomiya! I am not sure if you have actually mentioned it in your vlog the reason why you had to have your premolars extracted?
Karen Gamit I stated it in my getting braces again video-> ua-cam.com/video/InwrcZV6FUY/v-deo.html
I am very nervous, because I have to get 4 removed also. And I just turned 12
What should i do when food gets stuck in there? I have done rinsing with saltwater(just tilting head left and right) and brushing(not over the extraction site)
I would recommend for you to speak to your dentist regarding that issue. Hope it is out and healing well
i get my premolars extracted tomorrow and im SO nervous;(( i was just wondering if the actual extraction process is painful? im getting teeth extracted due to my overbite and im also very nervous to my mouth getting smaller or my face structure changing:( basically what im trying to say is do you regret getting extractions or or do you think they were worth it? im sorry if i asked so many questions im so nervous and curious :(
Trust your dentist
i am so sorry i just saw your comment.
Thank you so much! Very helpful
Wow!😮 You healed so fast! Within a week, the holes were almost healed. Very impressive speed. I'm on my third week, and I still have a hole right there😢

I was able to brush with toothpaste the day of. You should have gotten directions from your dentist regarding to those matters. Follow what your dentist says.
Extraction twins omg thanks for this!!
It should get better! Hope you have a speedy recovery:)

Now it's my turn to extract the lower last tooth
