Amazing video mate. Just a quick question, when I make my image adjustments and press ok, it doesn’t save this and just goes back to the original image in lightburn. Any ideas on this please?
I actually came onto your UA-cam today to see if you had a video on how to make bullet points on a template to dial in the positioning on the bed for templates. I got some coasters. Then I came onto this video and ended up watching this whole thing. Now back on task.
Good tutorial Robert. I know this was a large piece, but if you took the same paper you used to contrast the photo taped the together and them used a fine sharpie, you could have outlined the grill and the mounting holes and traced it to the paper, then took a picture of the outline on the paper you could save some time in editing the photo. Just another way to go about it. Like the idea of using a metal fabricator to expand your capabilities. I do not have a metal shop, but had a real good client that orders from us on a regular basis really begged me to add some metal to his products, so I did some research and found someone local and now I have the ability to sell even more products.
If you had stayed in node editing and highlighted the part you wanted to move you could have done the same with out having to go through the other way.
Thank You for your input, after I completed this I realized your point. I use key shortcuts that make it way faster but allot of people don’t care for that kind of content because they are new and need time to absorb what’s happening.
Thanks for another great video. I ALWAYS prefer a longer video with more content. I get more detail and I can always fast forward if i need just certain information. Thanks for all you do. I have learned so much from your videos. From a fellow Texan!
I was thinking the same thing. I used to have to recreate parts like this for a living, and it is easier to measure it. You end up with a cleaner file.
These are my preferred style videos from you, Robert. More please.....LOTS MORE!!!
Thanks......this was an excellent tutorial.
I appreciate the comment. Dully noted

Once you have adjusted your image say ok then right mouse click the image and save as bitmap. Import that image and that’s the one you trace.

I appreciate the feedback, with the included milestone marks you can jump around quickly to find what you’re looking for. Native Nevadan here
why not take measurements and use pattern commands and lines ?
I’m curious what do you mean by pattern commands. I’m not familiar with this in Lightburn??

Dang…. A buffet of such good info with a plethora of utilitarian bits being used and demonstrated. Thank you for taking the time and sharing.
