Also done this with my 2014 Golf, was such a pain in the ass it really took me 2 days haha. Just upgraded to a 2017 7.5 Gti performance, getting him next week and I can't wait!

And remember..sometimes on the Golf MK7 the original clip doesn’t fit due to a side piece of plastic stopping it from going in! So a Stanley knife is required for slicing it off..fits perfectly after
So you have to cut it up a little?
The clip won’t fit, what part am I supposed to slice off.

@@OoOJakeOoO like the other poster said. keep the old ones because sometimes non genuine last only a few years so you might need them again in a jiffy

Forgot the turn signal wire that has to be ran from light to light.

Did you get that wire with the lights, so you could connect them for the dynamic sweep? Or did you order separate, thinking of ordering some myself

Hey quick question did you use any coding to turn on the indicator? Cuz my don’t work my indicators are the brake lights
Shouldn’t need coding, should be plug & play. I ordered mine from VLAND
they should be plug and play unless theyre second hand and someone may have changed the code

You have to connect the wire from the trunk with the indicator at the car.
Hey man, you’re lights without the yellow harnesss/wires still gave you half a yellow turn signal. Mine with or without the yellow harness/wire connected don’t give me no yellow turn signal. Just the brake flasher. Your help would be appreciated mate thank you
are you sure it is connected properly and coded properly to the car what brand are the lights

I just bought mine and hooked up the yellow external wires and the dynamic still aren’t working. Is there any coding you need to do to make the MK7.5 work?

Did you get this to work? I’m currently in the same position but using the outer tails as signals at the moment.
@@CVezina Not yet. I changed the coding and messed up somewhere so now my turn signals only work at night
@@tjgrossman4509 go back to stock coding, I also did a lot of coding, but realized that I needed to rewire some things. Going back to stock helped with atleast being able to drive around.
Going to get to rewiring some things this weekend and see if it works.

My probelm is my inside headlights are not working however the indicators are fine someone pls help

@@samayaz1461 yeah i fixed it and the problem was not the Tail Lights, in my case there were 2 issues: One is that i kind of destroyed seal of the trunk while getting these lights in my car (which can be solved by just paying attention to the steps and being very careful)
second and probably the real issue was that there was water coming in the trunk through one of the wheel hollows, but that had nothing to do with the tail lights

@@benderbossi3683 I’ve just opted to get genuine mk7 golf r rear lights & a cable which is needed to change halogens to leds think it’s just overall a safer option using genuine parts

It went sweet mate had a minor issue that was resolved quickly by the company, the screw mantle came out of place deeming a part of the taillight useless, but they then sent me a brand new set then sent my old ones back without explanation so now I got 2 for the price of one, safe to say it went well 🤣

They’re $350. Be careful though. VLAND has some pretty awful reviews. My buddy has some tail lights and they did arrive but I’ve read online that some people never got them and couldn’t get in contact with the company
