KINGS OF THRASH “The MEGA Years” featuring David Ellefson & Jeff Young set to perform live the “Killing is my Business….and Business is Good” as well as “So Far, So Good… So What” albums in their entirety on upcoming west coast tour.
KINGS OF THRASH “The MEGA Years” features GRAMMY® Award winning bassist David Ellefson, along with guitarist Jeff Young, reuniting to perform the early Thrash classics upon with the genre was built and defined in the 1980s. Showcasing the songs from the Killing is My Business…and Business is Good & So Far, So Good…So What albums in their entirety, Ellefson & Young stay true to material not performed live in several decades, along with the spirit of the era which launched one of the greatest genres of heavy metal music.
Says Ellefson, “I think we’ve assembled an energetic song list and group of musicians to capture the spirit of a genre we helped create & define so many years ago. Fans have been requesting these songs for a long time now and it seems like a good moment to bring them back to the stage”.
Jeff Young adds, “The mission here is to bring a connection of goodwill through the music, with a collaboration of musicians and friends in our community. Our thrash tribe casts a wide net to give people hope in a time when they’re looking for something positive & uplifting. What better than way to do that than through the music which has become the soundtrack to our lives.”
The KINGS OF THRASH “The MEGA Years” tour will be introducing Chaz Leon on lead vocals & guitar with Fred Aching on drums. Also joining the evening will be special guest guitarist Chris Poland.

Love that these thrashers are still playing music.
This is better than seeing modern Megadeth by a mile. Just to see them play Good Mourning with Poland on lead is worth the price of admission.
My god... This really is a dream coming true. To hear Chris play Good Mourning again is just incredible, but him playing These Boots as well as Killing is my Business? Fucking beyond stoked.
Chris Poland is 64 years old - first congratulations on still being alive and healthy and secondly dude is stlll playing with the fire of a 20 year old!! - Inspiration to us all!!

Mann...I was 14yrs old when I first heard Megadeth back in 85. I just turned 51 this year. It's crazy how time fly's and seeing our Thrash Metal Music heroes age but still kicking major ass🤟
all lead guitar players who where in megadeth are top musicians ...always liked the leads from jeff young on "so far so good.."....but to see chris poland do his thing is very cool ...what a unique style he has amongst metal players...he deserve to be more known !!

Good Mourning!! Love hearing Chris play those solos again. One of a kind. I'm flying over from across the pond to see this but I certainly hope to see this again later in Europe too. Plenty of great ex-Deth talent out there to pick from for future tours too.
I was at the first show in S.D. It was so fun. The band and the audience were having such a great time. I loved the surprise encore of hearing the second album. That was a bad-ass move.
My fav Megadeth albums are Peace sells and So far. I watched the entire San Diego set on YT, really cool. These guitar players are what makes Megadeth sound like Megadeth. It's that classic sound you've heard on the albums.
This is really top notch playing from everyone involved. Even the vocals are spot on. A fan couldn’t ask for more. I really can’t put into words how great it is to see this material finally get the spotlight. The only thing that would make it better is if we got Damn the Machine on the same bill!
I LOVE Damn the Machine! I saw them in Venture CA. They blew me away. Still loved them after that performance even though some of the band members were laughing & mocking my friend's band that was opening up for them. And yes my friend's band was good...as good as pre-label Incubus at the time (different styles musically) I know because my band opened for Incubus (which were the nicest, supportive guys even...we were all atound 14-16 at the time).
Down right killer! You have to expand the tour!
Greg Handevidt did share some dates with them too. To see Jeff Young, Chris Polland and Greg in the same stage with Dave Ellefson could be the best thing in the thrash metal nowadays. I really hope to see it some day.

How many internet comments on who was the best megadeth guitarist made the assumption that Dave mustaine was kept in the band? I love this line up. In my darkest hour has one of my favourite solos, and Chris Poland is a beast (such a unique voice on guitar)👍👍👍🎸🎸

I gotta say, that drummer is nailing the feel of that Gar stuff! I'm very impressed. I mean I guess only two of you guys knew what it was like to be in a room playing with him, but from my recent listens of KIMB, he sounds really damn close. The vibe is there big-time.

I've been a Megadeth fan for a number of years now and I've got to say that most of this material is actually what fans want to hear! It's just awesome to see Mr. Ellefson, Mr. Young and Mr. Poland playing all together as brothers. Great job guys and please keep it up!
