DISCLAIMER: So I was using the Insta360 "Premium" Lens Guards on the day this video was shot. Some reviewers had warned me that the results may be mixed at best. They weren't kidding. A lot of my shots for this video were unacceptable. Other shots that I ended up using contain lens flare and light refraction from the sun. Some of these shots are not up to the standard that I typically like to uphold on this channel. Needless to say, I won't be using the screw-on glass lens guards in the future. I'll just be careful and take my chances! Hopefully, the random sunspots and excessive lens flare won't ruin the video for you.
I think that you should keep using the lens guard and just lower your standards. I recently lowered MY standards and ended up finding your channel! So while there may be cream at the top, sometimes you can find a tiny gold nugget that has sunk to the bottom 😂! Keep up the mediocre to good work and I will keep watching till you get cancelled (sort of like Falcon Crest). Now... where's that button you were talking about.....
Scott, I watched your video again last night with my wife so she could enjoy it also. She was appalled at my comment and said that I probably insulted you. I assured her that with your sense of humor you would know I was only giving you a hard time and was done with the utmost respect. If you did take it the wrong way, I do apologize! I love your channel, I appreciate your sense of humor, and you have inspired me to ride more and enjoy more trails. Now if you can only help me encourage my wife to do more of that native American gardening, I would appreciate it! Thanks for all you do. I promise to send you some okra when it comes in!
A gorgeous area I went to often with a lot to do in the overall vicinity. Thank you for bringing back those memories of 20 years ago... I need to return there.
The second water bottle addition is an awesome idea!! I think we are going to add them to our bikes. We love your channel. We are always on the lookout for you when we are out riding in SC!! PS - we rang your bell!!!
Thanks for the great video, and all the history. We camped in Franklin, NC and rode our bikes on the Little Tennessee River greenway. We had a good ride, but wished we'd had our e-bikes on parts of it! 😊
Great job on filming this trail. I see 5000 subscribers in your life soon. Sorry subscribers are missing out on your videos because they don’t hit the “bell” button! I look forward to your videos each week. Plus I learn about the history and statistics of the area. Again, thanks for sharing the video. Have a great week.
Another great video! Love the historical part of the trail. It is always so helpful to us to watch your show. We love learning about the history of the town as well. Thanks for all you do!
I hope to see you at Bill Moore Park in Fletcher, NC, maybe sometime soon. Also, the Ecusta Trail from Hendersonville to Brevard is coming along. Hopefully, it will have more completed work by the time temperatures come down. Happy Trails.
As always, a great video. I liked the song. Where do you find, and how do you select the music for your videos. By the way, I rode the Kingsport Greenbelt and part of the Creeper trail last week. Lots of fun.
Kingsport AND the Creeper?! Wow! I need to go back to the Creeper and just ride it for fun - without having to stop and shoot video. As for music, I use a production music site called Epidemic Sound. You can purchase an annual subscription and then all of the music is able to be used on social media without any copyright worries.
Wow, Nice.Mentioned from my other channel that Morganton isn't one of the City I think about when it comes to trail riding. I was always going there to playing with a Gospel singing band. I may head up that way this week.
Hilarious when you show blueberry moon pie I had just finished one my self about 10 seconds before you showed your moon pie… to funny 😅 she got them at Wallymart.
Nice video. Maybe edit to these to be a bit shorter, things like the drive to get there. Otherwise these have a unique style and I expect a lot more people will watch them when they find your channel. Big ole Roll Tide!
Ps one day love to drive down to spartenburg were you are and that greenway from your college town along the train tracks or even meet before or during or after the ride for lunch. Maybe you tell me more about your home town etc. I am the one up in Indian land south of Charlotte about 8 miles.
Always entertaining and enjoyed the historical insight you provided. Love the trees and river views. It is sad that they’re not maintaining it. We’re only disappointed in one thing, Scott. You didn’t give a rating on the Stuckey pecan log and the other treat you bought. 😉
I am now waiting on the Alarm ⏰ to go off for future trail reviews! I am NOT going to miss a minute! 👍🏻👍🏻 I have an e-bike to ride and I am always needing trail reviews. 🚴
Thanks. Never really think about Morganton that much. Even though I was playing with a Gospel group there every other week. Ahhh, Stuckey's. Got into an argument with a man New Jersey at the one in Blacksburg SC. All about how far and how would it take him to reach Atlanta Ga from where we were.. Love your videos. They've inspired me to search out other trails. I was in Cherokee NC last week. But didn't have time to ride ,So thinking going back in couple of weeks. @17:04 - A biker gave advice on staying hydrated that really works. Drink a full bottle of water or Gatorade before riding. Then have another after. So I tried and it works great. But be prepared for a Restroom run later.
So ironic-I am local and only subscribed a few months ago…at that time I thought it would be cool if you did a video on our Greenway! Some clarification on Frankie Silver-she was actually a resident of the Kona community in present-day Mitchell County and the killing was in the tiny cabin she shared with her husband Charlie. At the time Burke was much bigger and went to the Tennessee border, including this area. That’s why she was tried and convicted in Burke.
I read your mind! 😂 sometimes the decision of where to go comes down to the last 24 hours… It just depends on my schedule, how far I can go away from home, whether I want to spend the night someplace, and most importantly the weather! So Morganton got the nod two weeks ago. Good information on Frankie Silver… So what do you think… Did she do it? Was it justified (self-defense)? Did she have help? I guess we’ll never know…
@@joyfultrails I am aware of the division of opinions surrounding this, and respect those who believe her father (or mother or brother) helped her. Mine is that she did it herself initially and MAY have had help after the fact. Even the exact way it happened is in doubt-some saying she killed him while he slept, and some saying in self-defense as he threatened or assaulted her. I'm close friends with a Mitchell County native and direct descendant of Frankie through her daughter. I have been to the church in Kona where Charlie is buried…in three graves. Let that sink in… ; )
I thought for sure you were only going to award 2 ☆'s... then I was waiting for Responding to comments but they had already left the building. Maybe next time?
I thought about it... If I did half stars, then 2.5 would've been perfect. And yeah, thought I'd give RTC a rest for an episode. I'm sure it'll be back!
@@owenoiffer The climate’s always changing! I’m not a scientist or a meteorologist, I’ll grant you that. Nice ride, but it does need some upkeep. I missed the psychedelic fish eye shots this time. I guess I have to play some Jimi Hendrix to make up for it.
