He makes it look so easy 😆 I am a female and in order to do this I had to put my bike on the ground, hold the break, and stand on the Allen wrench, it finally budged!
Why they didn’t put a simple wrench flat on them is a huge mystery, and an even bigger mistake. I bought these, but may remove them and go back to my 540’s
So i bought a used bike with Crankbrothers Candy pedals. Left side came off after using a metal pipe as leverage. Right side so far i broke 1 allen wrench and twisted 2. Already sprayed this shit with WD40 over night. Seems like i need to buy a new crank because that shit is fused together.
@@MXROutlaw i did manage to change my pedals. I had to heat up the crank with a heat gun and then used a pipe wrench on the other side of the allen screw
Same ! No problem with the right one but rhe left is a nightmare, completely blocked. I am replacing Candy 1 by Candy 7. Candy 1 is in hex 6 meanwhile Candy 7 is a 8 mm hex, I didn't know that 😅 I'm afraid I'll break everything !

They can certainly be on there very tight! But what you described for tight pedals is the perfect approach 😅
what if its really too tight....cant remove my crankbrothers flat pedals coz my friend installs it too tight.
Just what I needed. I swear everything time I take my pedals off I have to look it up.
Taking these pedals off is a nightmare. Sorry Crank Bros.
Struggling to get my left side off. I'm legit afraid I'm gonna bend or snap my crank

Easy and clear enough. Thanks, buddy.
are my pdeals broken when the tool just goes around without resistance? I have the right size. How to get them off now?

I finally succeeded by heating longer, it came all at once.
On the new pedals, I put threadlocker (blue stuff).
They are nice.
Would not work if pedals were used any significant time. Why you are not adding wrench flat? It will allow usage of tools with bigger arm
Just what I needdd. And it was quick.
sucks doing this with a normal hex wrench
yeah mine dont come off that easy
Good thing I gave a breaker bar. Haha.
It not goes so easy
