You have very little rice grown in the Mississippi Delta overall. The ducks left this area for the most part when they enacted the Federal mandate for Ethanol about 20 years ago. They use corn to make ethnaol and it is harvested in August and the fields are disced under when the ducks come South. Years ago Soybeans were the major grain being planted and harvested late in the Fall leaving way more areas for ducks to feed. There may be ducks at times in a few areas , but nothing even remotely close to what it used to be. The States in the area have done little or in Mississippi's case done nothing to keep ducks in the area. As for DU spending money for private hunting clubs, I don't think many donars realize you are doing that and would be outraged to find out. There are many areas particulary in MS. that they have stopped farming because they cant get insurance anymore because it floods most years. With very little money these areas could be turned into refuge, instead of just doing nothing.

You’re mistaken on 3-5 points here on which you’re 100% incorrect. Also, people with the extra income to donate to the preservation of a hobby aren’t dumb. That’s why they have extra income…Clearly you do not know what an agricultural easement is.
