I am from MD and i own a 300 acre farm bordering the Potomac River, and I have about a 5 acre swamp that loaded with waterfowl. The rest of my farm is all wooded with hand planted pine. Is it possible for me to flood the forest about 20 acres just like in this video? The land is pretty flat and there is a lot of ground vegetation. There is probably a tree every 10 yards from each other because it was planted for harvesting purposes but since we bought it now its only for conservation of wildlife and hunting. Could I make levee and use water from the swamp to flood the forest? What is your guys opinion on this?

Your pines are most likely white or loblolly pines. Pines are not necessarily meant to be flooded for extended periods of time and could die after just a couple months. Certain hardwood trees in the MAV are tolerant of annual flooding, but it would not be recommended for your situation. You could possibly obtain a permit and extend the wetland by doing a scrape.
